I know I'm a bit loony, but the Coen brothers had to be inspired by the scene of the cycle policeman getting murdered. Also the "sidekicks" mannerisms, voice and dialogue threatening his driver buddy is quite similar to the "T". Yeah, it's probably just my observation. Please stay well and safe!! Pax
I love the fact that James Whitmore told them to take their job and shove it. They refused to give him a raise, instead they tried to appease him with some stupid letter lauding his accomplishments. Yeah, that's great, but it doesn't pay the rent or buy food.
Well, I was expecting at the end that he'd throw down his badge, step on it, and walk off with his woman while Tex Ritter sang "Oh Don't Forsake Me Oh Ma-Darlin'. He couldn't leave until he shot Frank Miller dead.
Good one.
James Whitmore was one hell of an actor!
Thank you. Great cast.

Very topical when you consider the left's "defund the police" crap!
