  • When I research our adventures we often know what to expect along the way and what to look for. On this recent outing, near the town of Mesquite, Nevada, we were continually surprised by the shear magnitude of the area and the amount of trails crisscrossing the region. Our goal on the first day was to find a fun route to the Tri-State Monument for Arizona, Nevada and Utah. We found a state line trail up to the marker but we took a few side trails and found some really cool alternate routes.

      That's a great area to explore. Many hidden gems in the desert. The trail is north of Mesquite, on hwy 91, just after you cross the bridge. All the details can be found here. www.trailsoffroad.com/trails/5680-sand-hollow-wash
      Thanks for watching and have fun exploring!

    I'm really enjoying these videos as we will be in Utah and Nevada in March. Keeping track of these so hopefully we can find time to explore a bunch of them.
    Thank you.

      Good choice, in my experience March is the best time to visit. Spring run off and flowers blooming in the desert. Thanks for watching and we'll be bring you more of this area soon

      That's very cool. I would start with the Arizona Strip BLM office in St. George. They manage the land and would likely be the controllers of the site. Thank you for watching and for your generous offer.

    Where does this trail start

    • @xploremor
      @xploremor  Рік тому

      The trails are northwest of Mesquite. This is a link to the main trail leading to the monument. www.trailsoffroad.com/trails/4036-three-corners

    Is there a route to the monument that's all fairly level dirt trail, and if so where does it start?
    I have a Subaru Crosstrek (AWD w/ 8.7" ground clearance) obviously not a true off-road vehicle but I would love to get to the monument

      I guess it might be possible. I have all the 4x4 and a couple "roads" listed on @trailsoffroad that lead to there. If you come in from the south, along the Fence line road, it might be possible. It's all very rough out there but a cool spot, in the winter.

    Do you miss the old jeep? It was a pretty capable one

      The more I drive the TJ the more I love it. Especially after doing all the recent work on the TJ, it's just easier and cheaper. The JK was setup pretty good but I think the TJ will be more capable (long arm kit) and reliable. Endless issues plagued me on both the previous JK's. In one year, repairs on the JK cost more than the total purchase and build up cost of the TJ and the JK still had several repairs needed.

    what are you going to call this route on trailsoffroad?

      The trail names come up during the video in the top left corner. I'll be using them when I post them on Trailsoffroad.com.
