The book version is darker. Somehow, having Leo as part of the series from the beginning instead of just in this scene has lightened Fiats character significantly. Believe me when I say that despite Type going all out psycho violent on Fiat on the book I still just barely pitied him, that is how much of an ass he is on the book. Although not really popular with most novel readers, most of us did appreciate the weight of this scene for Types character. Type was never a lovable character to begin with- the Type he is now is because of Tharn and this kid just saw the Type who won't let anyone mess with Tharn
The books and series dont show the reality that such actions have consequences too, it's so realistically unrealistic how the offender gets to walk away without any criminal charges.

Though reading the first book I kinda understand why Tar chose not to file a complaint (not all victims react the same) it still bums me that after all the confrontation against Lhong not even poetic justice was served.
This short scene is really symbolic. Shows how blind Fiat truly is to be oblivious to how much Leo actually loves him yet still blindly goes for someone taken. Like Leo is so hot and handsome too how can Fiat not realize Leo has been having the hots for him?? Type was being scary but he needs to go to this extreme to scare Fiat off. Poor Champ always gets involved in Type's messy affairs

Their story has totally hit rock bottom for me. No matter what! Leo shouldn't have allowed this. I wonder what would be fiats reaction if fiat knew leo was watching all this happen and if he knew leo was there all along and still accepted it, it's pretty unrealistic.
