Update: Got a flat tire already, second day of use. A small thorn in the front tyre, it's very easy to gert a flat. I'll be posting a fix on this soon and how to prevent flats with Slime (I use this on my mountain bike)
Ugh. That doesn't sound good at all!
No, I had to push the scooter for about 20 minutes to the studio, then walk another 15 and 15 back from the bike shop! Bit pissed off, it's only the second day of use. But also bad luck with a big rose thorn from nowhere.
TechTablets.com may be someone is jealous 😂😂
I'd rather dismiss a little comfort for non-puncture tyres.
How is scooting it with empty batt?
Yeah if they still puncture with Slime in the inner tubes I'll buy the solid rubber tires. Rolling without battery is good, just a little heavier than a normal one due to the weight. But it's doable if you run out of battery.

I've wanted to review one of these for a while! good job!
One of the best videos on the Xiaomi M365 I've seen so far. Great job.
Nice adult toy, I have Xiaomi ninebot mini for a year and I have 1200 km without problems whatsoever. Enjoy your new toy. I love your reviews and I believe your reviews are spot on, considering I have a couple of things you have reviewed and I agree 100% with you.
Good to hear, 1200 kms and still no issues. Thank you for the comment.
Kyriakos Liotas um, as someone that's pure broke and desperately needs personal transport i wouldn't call it a toy

Great video! You are the best!! Thanks for all the effort and reviews over time!
Love your videos so much! Thanks for helping me decide which scooter to buy :D
This is a well put together video I love the description of the electric scooter 🙂
Awesome video bro, really fun!
Thanks, really enjoying this new toy.
i have my unboxing scooter also bought in china try to watch it really good

DUDE I LIVE TWO TOWNS AWAY FROM YOU!!! Bought my scooter today, thanks for the review!
does it still work?
Yup
Wow that's the best looking scooter I've seen.
I love mine.
What about mine Dualtron Extreme? :D
Quality presentation, well done.
got my 365 last week, i love it.. best spend money ever.
Great video once again. Keep it up!
I have been the happy owner of this scooter since May 2017, I have done about 800kms and here are my comments:
- the only big issue comes from the tires... I punctured several times in a short period of time, before switching to solid tires. No problem since then, it is a bit more unconfortable though, but nothing to be concerned of.
- This is a FUN way to comute. I have been to many places with it, like restaurants, government buildings, bars, the gym... no problem whatsoever to get in with the scooter.
- This will raise some curiosity though, so be prepared to be asked about it. It can be a little awkward for some people.
- It is very easy to use, travel, fold, unfold...
- The range is getting better with time, the first uses were about 18kms as the reviews says, but it gets to 25 kms (I weight 72 kgs)
Overall, I would definitely recommend it, however I would also recommend to change the air tire to solid ones as soon as you punture for the first time.
Feel free to ask me whatever you need (I have no business with Xiaomi :-) )
Where did you order the new set of tires?
can i use xiomi home app to connect with scootter..?
Very informative and good breakdown of the scooter's important fractures
Great review as always, Chris. Thanks for the info 👍
My pleasure! That's an old review of mine now :)
I bought this scooter from PB Tech in New Zealand. I love it. I haven't used it a lot but am very pleased with it so far.
Great review. I have mine for a month now, appr. 400km. Use it to /from work transport.
The range is max. 14-15km in normal mode or max 18-20km in ecomode (75kg load, city area and max speed in both modes).
The range is the weakest link in my oppinion.
Solid build, good value for money.
SegWAy app eating batteries and not closing properly( have to force close it if i have used it).
Yes, the range is we worse point, the tires were in the beginning, but now with Slime in them. No more flats.I'm looking like 18 kms to 20 max on the flat in eco. But I find eco mode a bit too slow.
What is the charging hour?
How long does it take to full charge
Did you get the youth edition?
I've been in Denia a couple of times lately. I was very careful in the streets, fearing that some madman on an e-scooter might be rushing downtown through the old district! Seriously, you're a lucky man to live there, and, by the way I sure appreciate your review(s). Keep on the good job.
There are a few other madmen around now with the same scooter around town. Thanks for the comment, glad you like Denia.
As usual, great video
Great video,
I just ordered mine but there is one topic which hasn't been covered. Can you use it as a non electric kick scooter like the e-micro? Also, can this be pull/push when folder like a trolley (doable with the Ali v5 for instance).
Great review of a really interesting gizmo!
Hi, thanks for this great review! (and the coupon option). May I ask you if you paid import duties or something?
If you run out of battery can you then push it like as if it didn't have a motor, or does the motor give resistance when not in use?
Thanks for explanation. I have a M365 and very happy with it. Looking forward to seeing your puncture repair video :)
Hi! I wanted to buy this scooter, but the coupon expired and the shipping cost is over $200!! Do you know where I can buy this for cheaper??
Thanks for your great Videos and Review!
i have my unboxing scooter also bought in china try to watch it really good
What's your height TechTablet? The reason i ask is i see that the handlebars are not adjustable and im concern if this would be an issue for shorter guys like myself. Thanks.
Hello.
Great video. You're not saying anything about adjustment of handlebars height. Is it possible? You seem a little bit hunched while driving. How tall are you?
Hi, What can you tell me about "youth edition" of Xiaomi electric scooter - Is it worth buying since it is about 100$ cheaper?
is this the same as the bird scooters? does it have GPS or can you lock it and leave it on the street like the rental ones? or is there a kit you can buy to add GPS and locking ability?
Thanks great summary in the Scooter
hows the size that front wheel to rear wheel? can i put this in to my body bmw 2 series?
Does it comes with a little bit of charge power out of the box? I don't have a car, and it seems there's no handle for the box. Assembling it at the store seems more realistic in my situation.
hello i dont understand, this is the latest version or there is a version 2?
Once the battery drains you won't be able the use it manually?
Could you comment more on how it does against hills? I tried friend's simple scooter, and of course I cannot ride uphill, but down hill also was a problem, because of "mechanical" brakes get too hot too fast and my shoes start melting. I am wondering how much it can go uphill, and are brakes good enough for downhills, like climbing up 70 meters in 1 km distance.
Really helpful video cheers
How can you lock this? With a bike lock or can you you leave it "locked" on the street with GPS tracking like the rentals?
Thank you for sharing this video.. The scooter doesn't comes with dampers... will dampers make ride a lot smoother? Are there a huge difference in comfort?
Hey chris, any recommendation for cheap 4GB RAM Windows or Dual Os Tablet? i already try search some but maybe you can give me better than i found, well i just use it for making animation in blender, programming, and game like Red Alert 3 ( well i want high resolution )
*** edit : $200 and HDMI support
Hi Them, I would like to know from which city of Spain you have made the video? Please do more videos about mechanics and repairs of the Xiaomi Mi M365. Thank you and good luck.
Can you use it as a normal board when you run out of battery? I mean just push it with one foot?
Great Review! Which shipping method did you choose?
Hi, do you still have the scooter? I am interested also. What is your ongoing experience with it? Did you have to pay any taxes? I see that you also live in Spain? Where do you live? I live in Benalmádena, close to Málaga.
this is superb!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hey Chris, so who was the stunt double at the start of this ace video? He's great! *Wink*
Got my twin to do the stunts :D
Lovely review... Pls update on your experiences with the scooter
There will be some updates coming later on
i wonder if you can bring this on as a carry on.
I only live 8 minutes from work..two roundabouts. This could be a great saving for me especially if you don’t feel like riding.
i dont understand, after it runs out of battery, you cant just use it as a regular scooter? it locks the wheels or something?
have you looked into the qicycle? I want to buy one, but there isn't much English language content on them. Send out review units gearbest!
How to clean this,is it ok to splash some water...Thanks
What are the differences between this and the youth edition ?
just moved to Barcelona.
Can you recommend it now? do you leave it sometimes outside? (locked with D-lock ? )
yes
hi there. does it work in free wheeling mode (ie turn off motor n use own leg) so i can only use the motor only wherever needed n extend my range, or its full time motorized?
Yes, you can kick it using muscles, BUT the platform is too high from the ground, so you have to bend the knee on "standing leg" lot to reach with you "kick leg" the ground. You will be soon tired. (On good non electrical kick bikes the platform is apr. 5-6 cm from ground.)
What is better xiaomi m365 or xplorer cherokee
Thanx , as always a great review. seems like a fun way to get around. but i would most likely go even slower since im around 120 kg. anyways. how about durability? flat tyres? How long you reckon the battery will last?
thats not what i asked. sorry
I have the ninebot mini. Pretty fun but have to go slow over bumps. I was also thinking of getting that scooter. My weight is 220lb, I wonder how many km I can get on a full charge ? The ninebot I get 22km
Great Review. Thanks.
What's your go-to scooter that you consider the best buy?
hi. I have bought that scooter but cannot connect to my mobile. I tried both the Ninebot and MiHome apps. The scooter is not detected. Any advice?
Could you do a review of pipo x10 pro? Best regards.
I need more stopping power - Setting the KERS (RegEn) to STRONG - Will
it increase my stopping power than compared to WEAK - my disc brake is
not too efficient... Thanks.
Yes it will.
I’m late to this but I was watching your footage of you using the scooter around town - a town that seemed familiar to me. It WAS Denia! An excellent coastal town and usually just the right weather for scootering around on.
Do you know what the Spanish laws are for street legal scooters? Do any such laws exist locally, provincially or nationally?
Cool ! 👍 Looks so fun to ride on ! 😀
It is, really enjoying it.
Hello would it be safe to buy this from Aliexpress?
can it go on grass or through puddles?
I am considering purchasing one, for getting to work/uni, which for me is about 10km round trip. My question is, how tall are you? because I'm 6'1", so I don't want to be awkwardly hunching over the scooter - Thanks!
Whats the difference between this one and the Xiaomi MIJA?
I'm about 40kg and got the Xiaomi M365. Been using it for about 3 weeks now. Charged it for about 5-6 times in that 3 week span. I can go 3 days to my everyday route in one charging. thats about 8 km back and forth everyday for 3 days of no charging. I tried going with 4 days but once I reached my destination I had to then charge it right away.
For my weight its pretty worth it. I have no worries of running out of power. Easy to use and price is worth it. Km wise I'd say I can pretty much use it up to 28-30 km depending if I have an extra load of things with me or depending on the route I go whether its going up hills or not.
I think it would have been better if it had the same screen as the M365 Pro. Built quality is good but I just hope they put more thought on the folding part and the security as well as the under cover proctecting the battery. I feel like at some point I'm going to have to change it into a much stable undercover casing.
I also noticed while driving it in wet road, it doesnt grab on that well on the road. But so far had no accident with it on wet roads. Also would not recommend using it in the rain. (Haven't tried it. Too scared it might damage the scooter) but with the wet road was just right after the rain and I had no choice but to ride it in order to get home. But compared to the scooters I tried this has been the best one.
I'm sorry for telling you this, but you are using commas (´ ´ ´ ´ ´) instead of apostrophes (' ' ' ' ') in your sentences, which is wrong.
Is this and the Mi Scooter 3 the same thing?
It 's gonna be fun if i have this one . I've been following a foldable electric scooter called Alllu VehiGo. Hope i could ride on it in the future days
Many buyers are reporting problems with the battery pack not charging because of a fuse that blows on regenerative braking. Any thoughts or comments on that?
geoffphuket hi, i just got mine. where did you see these guys with busted fuses?
There's a few UA-cam videos uploaded, all showing the same problem. There appears to be a design problem with the regenerative breaking system overloading the regulator circuit and blowing transistors. Another issue has appeared with poorly soldered connections to the battery pack and connectors. People are complaining that negative reviews are not being published on the Banggood website, which isn't good. If I post this reply with links I know it won't be published, so do a search for M365 charging problem - you'll be surprised at the number of pages there are.
geoffphuket yes that's unfortunate. But i was wondering if xiaomi fixed this with the latest 1.3.1 update. My scooter doesnt charge full to %100, its always stuck at %98. Maybe this is too prevent overloading the circuits during regenerative braking when on a full charge? I still keep it at weak though just in case.
I'm not so sure it's a software issue - or if the update has cured the problem. I read on one forum that the best advice is to keep it at the weak setting. I haven't bought one yet, and I'm following the feedback very carefully before I do!
No comment from Chris, which is unfortunate because he's commented on UA-cam videos that show the problem!
I need help, I don't know how to downgrade the firmware version to 1.3.0
Thanks for the review. I agree on most parts. I love the scooter but have had a few minor issues.
- There is some slack in the mechanism for rising the head tube. Can’t seem to get a solid fit when raised.
- Had two punctures in the back wheel. Seems to be a combo of bad quality tube (changed now) and not enough pressure.
- Only get about 15-18 km mileage.
- Slow charging.
But still, these are only minor issues compared to how much i use and love this beautiful gadget. As a commuter, it makes my life a lot more flexible. It fits easily in the overhead compartment on the train and has enough mileage for most trips. It's both strong and fast enough to keep up with traffic in the city, and small enough to bring into stores work.
Had the same issue with the rear brake, but after adjusting the cable it now has plenty of power.
Over all it’s a well made piece of machinery that looks like it could have been made by apple. When Steve was alive.
I've just posted some tips for this scooter if interested it might help ua-cam.com/video/CWd7Z_icBwI/v-deo.html But the flats are a real pain. I now have a puncher fix and preventer liquid solution in my inners called Slime. It's shown in my video. What PSI or BAR are you running in the tires?
Thank you. I run around 40 psi, I think. Only had issues when I've tried lower preassure to get a smother ride. And no problems after changing the tube.
Also had another problem with the scooter being non responsive to the operating button. Seem like it goes into deep sleep or something. Usually works fine, but some times it wont react to any button input the first minute or so.
Hi, thanks for your comment. Can you tell me something about how well it copes with a hill?
Swithcing to solid tires is the best thing I have done with this scooter ;-)
best opening ever
Vera at 8:08 so cute
She always has to be in most of my outdoor vids! All I do is get the camera and she is there. Such a show cat.
Is the battery charger rated for 110v to 240v?
Which place is this?? looks awesome
You mentioned not handling moderate hills. How much of incline can it do for you (we are about the same weight)
Maybe up to 15%
Good review, is there a limit on weight capacity, can it support a 120kg bloke..
Yes, 120kilos. They say 100kilos max. It will take the weight, but the issue is it will be slower to accelerate and struggle more up small hills
what was total shipping weight ?
I have ME/CFS, so my energy levels are very low. I'm thinking about getting this scooter to get me down to the shops and back home. It's only about 10km total there and back, so it should be sufficient.
Price in Europe with postage?
I just got it today. I'm in New Zealand. Ordered it online last night, collected it from a PB Tech store this afternoon. I found the exact problem with that screw. The other three went in smoothly but that fourth one I had to remove it a couple of times and angle it the right way to get it in properly and yeah the chord did get in the way as well. I'm currently charging the battery up.
Hyper Focus Media Xiaomi pro bought in the United States, China bought and sent to the United States as long as more than 500 dollars
Just shook down my M365 which arrived today (BIG smile on my face...phew !!) .
Q. where can i find the version you have of Ninebot ?.
But how does it score on AnTuTu?
You should come see the escooter scene in singpore. Mijia is like a low end scooter. Most of us ride Minimotors Speedway 3/4s, whilst the rest ride Dualtron 2 Limited and Dualtron Ultra. I myself ride a dualtron Ultra. We have shops that cater to escooters for mods like magura brakes, goodridge hoses, battery and controller changing etc. We even have a legendary mijia in singapore that can go more than 50kph!
Hey Chris please do a review on the xiaomi bike!
The Xiaomi MiJia QiCycle? I've been asked to review it, but too expensive and quite ugly!
looks really cool.

Chris, you could order a Zuk Z2 just to make a review, no? It is one of the cheapest flagship I ever saw, and you could help a lot of people like me who wants to buy one, hahaha!
Can You push it and ride like a regular scooter when the battery dies? Or is it too heavy for it to be convenient to do?
You can just fine, but it is a bit heavy. But the wheels do roll well. (Good rolling resistance)
I want one
Great review, I don’t think these scooters are legal in the UK but I still want one
Can someone give me an opinion about the climbing gradient? It's about 14 degrees, but I'm not sure is enough for my case so before buy it I'd like to know more :) Thanks!
Is that denia?
