    I had a very small leak on the plastic side of the radiator, where one metal tube connects to the automatic transmission.
    I patched it with regular acetic silicone (the transparent rubbery stuff) and after the first try it still leaked, however after the second re-patch I didn't notice any more leaks. Let's see how much that will hold.
    It's a 1991 Chevrolet Lumina APV 3.1L TBI (later called Silhouette and upgraded to 3.4L, 3.8L and 4 speed tranny).
    I replaced its defective PCM with a diy EFI (thanks Dielectric Videos channel for providing instructions). It's simpler than any commercial aftermarket EFI system; it only uses one Air Fuel Ratio map.
    I got to a point where the engine idles okay but when revving from 2000 to 2500 RPM, the exhaust sounds bad and the engine seems like it lacks power. After crossing the 2500RPM barrier, it sounds normal and regains power.
    Getting to this point, I had to modify the normal 2000RPM (all the way up) AFR of 13 or 12, to 6 (which is the limit of how rich the mixture can be). Letting it at 13 or 12 meant that the engine didn't even cross the 2500RPM - it was like a rev limiter, but the software only has a 4400RPM rev limiter.
    I asked the developer of the software about my issue and his guess was that enriching the post 2000RPM AFR compensated for another fuel problem (either blocked or small hoses, obstructed injectors, bad fuel regulator, clogged filter or bad fuel pump).
    I inspected the fuel pump and the pressure regulator for cracks, didn't find any; replaced the fuel filter... I don't have a pressure meter though.

    My coworker had a civic that kept pushing all the coolant into the reservoir but never pulled it back into the radiator so that lose of coolant would cause the car to overheat. Turned out he had a small head gasket leak he used this product and 6 months later it's still working good with no issue.

    I have a 2006 Ford Freestyle. I don't know anything bout fixing a car & I have never owned a Ford ...it was actually given to me. So huge blessing. I knew it been sitting for long time. The man said it needed the water pump replaced. But anyway I drove it down the Rd. Went dead few times. Figured it might need an alternator. But the durn thang , got home it was smoking like a freight train. Checked the oil mine looks like a butterscotch milkshake...I went last night and bought this stuff y'all are talking bout. So I do need to change the oil first?? Can anyone tell me if I should replace that water pump first. I'ma single mom and I don't really have the money to take it and have all this done. I'd appreciate any suggestions any of u might have. Thank ye for the video

    • @countryboyreviews
      @countryboyreviews  2 роки тому +3

      I would definitely change the oil first for sure Keesha. You either have a blown head gasket or a cracked block , This may seal it up for you and save you a couple thousand dollars , definitely worth a try. Also if the water pump is bad it will need to be replaced but your car may just be overheating because of the Head Gasket.

Thermostat works good..no misses...no leak around the engine...just the bad leak around the catalytic converter..I'm thinking it's a intake leak...I loose about a gallon or more of coolant after it get to warm temperatures..I tried blue devil but I think the leak is too big for it...I hope this works..I'm getting some today....

    My 2001 Aztek overheats. I used this product 6 months ago. Now it's overheating again within 10 minutes of driving. The coolant blows out my overflow. When I originally put the bars leek in I put it in my overflow. It plugged up my overflow tube. And half of it never got in my engine. Then it eventually blew out my overflow. This time I'm putting directly in my radiator. I think it will work and hold longer until I can afford a garage fix. What say you?

    • @atomicdmt8763

      sounds like a bad RADIATOR CAP! faulty cap will not keep under pressure so coolant will boil and push out through the overflow. Just happened to me on 2 vehicles (i swappped over a bad cap) ......both solved w new caps. $6 per. seems the smaller spring failed for the draw back from the overflow resi..... so wasnt keeping under pressure.

    • @countryboyreviews
      @countryboyreviews  4 роки тому +1

      It depends on the color of the smoke? If the smoke looks white then it could be coolant leaking into your combustion chamber which could mean a blown head gasket. If that is the case I would give this a try before I spent the 1000 plus dollars to get it fixed at a shop. This stuff actually works a huge percent of the time , just follow the directions and drive it some and see if it clears up!
