Glad I found this. I have been on a Cadabra Records and Chiropetra Press tear the past year. Love Jon's readings of Ligotti on Cadabra...he really brings the stories to life. He creates mood but never overdoes it with false emoting like some audio/spoken word performers. He and Andrew Leman are the best! Keep up the great work Jon! Genius!
Very informative and engaging interview. I just love how passionate Jon is about not only Ligotti's work, but about his role in cultivating the next generation of weird horror writers as well.
The best of Ligotti's work recalls Conrad, Poe, Hans Heinz Ewers, Wilde, and more. His philosophy aids his skillful imaginative use of cosmic and body horror.
Loved the insights into a fellow devotee of the Darkness ending up living the dream and supporting and befriending their Story Hero! This is uplifting stuff (how ironic, given the source material 😁)! I've only just discovered Ligotti and am thrilled to read and listen to more. He knows his Cosmic Horror. I get the feeling he may well be a Master of the genre.

Doing a Ligotti deep delve at the moment. Totally missed this when you released this.🙏
Thanks!
Ligotti’s work resonates with me in a way that no other author can. I could listen to Mr. Padgett talk about him and his work all day. Cheers.
Indeed! Thank you for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed the episode.

This is a very informative discussion about Ligotti, Pagett, and the history of TLO and Grimscribe Press. Well done, gentlemen.
Thanks for watching, Brian!

Thank you so much!
What an awful family you had, Jon.
He certainly had a rough childhood.
