I watched several lessons on this song and yours is easily the best. Providing the detail on the strumming pattern, the variations and the play through is what sets you apart from the others. Well done, sir.
Dude this is super helpful with the way you structure this lesson and progress through. I just subscribed and am for sure going to be checking out some of your other videos too. Thank you
I heard Eddie on Howard Stern this past week. He was amazing as always. So of course I couldn’t wait to get home and learn this one . I’m bored on novice to campfire guitar playing. I appreciate your teaching me thanks
One of my favourite songs, I've been trying to learn this song mainly from memory but needed some assistance so thanks for the lesson, the up/down strokes are so important!
Hi Rob. Love your song tutorials so much! I realize your guitar tab version sounds so much better than other guitar teachers ! Could you also do a tutorial song of “you’re gonna live forever in me” (John Mayer ) , thanks a million!
I wonder why you chose not to include in this lesson the strumming technique that makes the whole sound of the song, and also, the thumb over the bottom string - are you playing that string or muting it? It’s pretty challenging for a beginner to figure out by simply watching and listening to you play, more of an intermediate lesson l’d say.
The chords are perfect, I didn't even know some of them existed and I will watch this to learn how to play them as well as this song. However, the vocals are quite awkward, almost like an older folk singer from the 60's attempting to do Pearl Jam, just kind of choppy and jerky delivery. I know this style can work with other genres and songs, it just sounds a little out of place here.
Eh, we all do the best we can with what nature has given us… the issue is there are very few people who can do an EV song justice, his baritone voice is just so rich and satisfying.
Best tutorial of this song on youtube. Thanks from a 60 year old learning guitar again!

Nice one - much appreciated
I’m still struggling a little with the strumming, knowing which bits to lean into a little more etc, but I’ll get there
Nice painting by South-Korean painter Yoo Choong Yeul in the background.

Rob, I know this is a long shot, but would you teach us how to play Darrell Scott’s “it’s the whisky that eases the pain.”
I like your voice! It's like a young willy Nelson(not my music) or something. Folky. Subbing...
Thank you for the tutorial!
For some reason I always switched the A and the Cadd9 chord in the pre-chorus. Strangely that never sounded of to me...

You are a much better guitar player than you are a singer. Very good lesson though. Thank you.
