    Attended 4/5/22. The show has been updated quite a bit since this video and is better in person. Thanks for sharing though, the essence is the same, brings me right back to it.

    It was such a great pleasure to be part of this amazing show from 2014 to 2015! It taught me a great lesson of love, integrity, perseverance and the opportunity to be reunited with our love ones after this life!

    Arrived back from O'ahu this week.. Saw this,it was moving... The culture centre made me fall in love with Polynesia... And appreciate the respect and pride the locals have in their heritage.
    So glad I can revisit this via you tube... Mahalo x

    We saw this show last April for our anniversary, and it was incredible. I highly recommend it to everyone; it is a must see! Our guide was very helpful and making adjustments to see there resort and catch everything we could within our time frame. The people were very friendly and accommodating to make our visit worthwhile. And it most definitely was. No wonder everybody wants to go back, again and again! Aloha

    Love these showcasing our beautiful culture from the Pacific from Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Hawaii, Tahiti, Rarotonga, Aotearoa Maori (and all our beautiful islands in the Pacific from Micronesian, Melanesian and Polynesian )

    I wish I could watch the Hula that the Grandma and the mother did,it's my favorite part,I love the mothers hula the most,I even learned how to do it on my own (he se the many times I've repeated that scene). The song is so beautiful as well as the hula choreographed for it. It makes me miss dancing hula and I'm thinking a lot about dancing again,I've also thought about going to BYU but it's so far from where I live. I wish I could get the DvD too,the one we have got damaged,CD never broke or had scratches,it's just acting like it was a blank CD.

    12:04 - 12:19 I love that part when the band does that, sounds very similar to music from the Motherland (Africa). Epic!!!

    My wife and I just got back from Oahu, where we saw this show. It was very enlightening. The show, with intermission, is about 1 hour long. This is not the only thing of interest, however. Do a search for "Polynesian Cultural Center" on Oahu. You can spend a whole day here and then either eat at the buffet or the Luau. You can also climb Diamond Head while you are here.

      I watched this show twice when I visit HI and I like it. I thinking to buy the blue ray and just wonder if the video quality are good. The one I watch you upload, the video quality it just like 15 year ago. It is not so clear

      Another way to learn your culture is to watch my video "Fa'a-Samoa: The Samoan Way" which is also here on UA-cam: Fa'a-Samoa: The Samoan Way

    what do they hold that keeps burning without the wind blowing out the fire?!!

    • @teti_99
      @teti_99 7 років тому +2

      Nate Entingh it's hibiscus wood. Flammable when dried out but a layer of iron wood is placed underneath the hibiscus just over the blade because of it's density and slow burning rate which allows it to stay burning for hours.
