I have both a 2 and a 4 strokes, tried all displacement over the years and, for the thrill factor, the 450 4 stroke is my favorite... so much power everywhere and quite easy to control. I am an amateur doing it for fun only.
Yeah open class 2 strokes are a handful and on the jump filled tracks that are the normal now days likely not as enjoyable as a 350 or 450 for most people. Personally i found 125s to be the most fun on 2 wheels but i am older and come from the 2 stroke generation
In fact, I am old and come from the 2 strokes era too... :) I love both 2 strokes and 4 strokes. They are all fun. But the 450 is something else. Makes you feel like a superman even if you only are an average vet rider. :) And you don't need the latest, sharpest tool if you are just an amateur on a budget. Any well maintained 450 is already much more than most mortal can handle....
Sleepy .Time I've ridden both a CRF 450 and a CR500 I feel the CR500 is more scary and a bigger hand, a fist full throwing a CR500 your looping can't keep the front down, especially when you're only like a 175lbs those both bikes don't even know they're getting ridden at that weight
My question for today, how well would Adam stand up to other 4 stroke bikes if he rode a two stroke 125 or 250 today? Supercross or outdoors? Would he still win? I believe he’s a natural who can win on any bike you pit him on.
Adam was always insane one 2 strokes... they just fit him so well! So much talent in such a young rider.
This is gold!
Nothing sounds like a 2 stroke having it’s neck wrung out!👊👌
what a legendary amateur. I really hope is pro career makes a comeback soon!
125 2 strokes take the most skill to ride and preserve.
One bad ass bike that pro circuit makes...
Dreaming of having this kind of bike
if you ride to get paid you ride a fourstroke but if you ride because you love to ride you get a two stroke

I also had a CR500. I much prefer the 4 strokes because it is more manageable while being just as strong overall.
