    The wheels look like a late 80’s early 90’s Pontiac wheel cover. Had a Sunbird with hubcaps that looked like that but in silver. Not a bad look, imho.

    Hey I have one arriving this week, Its black, Im not a huge fan of black. What colour should I wrap it? Im thinking either matte Gray or Tan or gray digital camo. Canada still gets a 40KW SV trim which is odd because its made in Tenessee.

    Hey Nissan, how about an electric 280Z? You are doing a new electric, why does it have to be another hatchback? or why can't it be more than one? I like my Leaf. It has great ZIP. How about a body design to match the ZIP. Make it a 390 Z. Not everything need to seat 5 or more. I seldom have any passengers.

    theres an average of $5,000 mark up due to "inventory shortage" so your 28k is like 33k for the base model. if the dealer ship tells ylu there is no mark up, but when they receive their inventory they will tell you that due to recent supply constraints, there has been a dealer "adjustment".
    I just got the 2022 leaf out of necessity. Sv+ model. Base msrp should be 35k. I ended up having to pay 40, plus taxes. not fair but supply and demand.

      On other hand you can buy Nissan Leaf Visia 2023 model with 25 000€ here, tough choose the E+ Tekna which is basically SL+ I think ... 42 000 including winter-tiers and free coating and 3 year maintenance ...

      What does “out of necessity" mean in this case? You could have bought something else without the stupid markup. You could've even bought a much less expensive yet equally well equipped ICE vehicle for less money too. 😂 It's not like they electric infrastructure near you but not gas stations so you were kind of forced to choose electric.

    Don't like the loss of leather trim and no Bose sound system in the SV Plus. More money-saving shortcuts on an electric car that already has too many of those.

    Less than 200-mile range? Yeah, it's cheap. But my Honda Civic gets better range, refuels less than 5 minutes, and its cost back in 2014 was around $23k. I've had zero issues with it. I recently did my oil change, transmission fluids, engine filter and A/C cabin filter. My car will be going for a long time.

      Yeah, these are all excuses why you’re too lazy to by an EV. You just explained all your mental road blocks, which probably don’t stack up against common sense and reason…
      You’re stupid enough to comment on a video about one of the cheapest and most attainable EVs on the market. 😢EVs being expensive is a multifaceted issue. That I don’t feel like explaining. But, I will say EVs are very cost effective to run when it comes to operational costs, both short and long term. One of the reasons taxis fleets will choose EVs over their ICE equivalent where possible.

    • @Megatron-sl5us
      @Megatron-sl5us 2 роки тому +1

      @@ToneKneeParaSocial EVs are a big waste of money and resources. Right now, less than 5% own some kind of EV. EV's take a long time to build, the chip shortages won't end for at least another two years, and the battery life will degrade fast over time. So yes, EVs aren't worth it right now. Maybe in twenty years.

      Most people that make enough money to offset the cost of the vehicle with the $7,500 tax credit, also don't want to drive the electric vehicle equivalent of an econobox! This is a point that Tesla has successfully capitalized upon.

    You always liked the leaf? The thing that was slap together by Nissan engineers in about 10 minutes; and didn't have active cooling for the battery which resulted in its premature and expensive failure. And of course Nissan didn't want to know anything. So what exactly did you like? It's designed to fail?

      The Leaf, like the Prius has actually sold quite well despite being hideous. Why? It's simple really... People that buy them (when new) do so to increase their “eco-cred" and to make themselves feel good because they think they're doing something to help “save the planet". Of course, the first reason is simply narcissistic virtue signaling and the second is misguided, misinformed, or ignorant of the fact that their shiny new EV is actually WORSE for the environment than the internal combustion equivalent. With that said, purchasing a second-hand Nissan Leaf CAN actually make a lot of financial sense as their resale value (first generation) is abysmal. For someone with a relatively short commute of less than say 20 miles each way and charging infrastructure in place, they make a great commuter!

    People will still complain about ItS sTiLl ChAdEmO as if all the CHAdeMO stations are going to disappear overnight.

    • @davidmccarthy6061
      @davidmccarthy6061 2 роки тому +1

      Not overnight but they are being swapped out for CCS. Only a problem if you will never travel outside your local area, or if you plan to keep the car longer than perhaps another four years. And then later will not being able to fast charge hurt resale value? Otherwise, a fantastic value.

    • @ashton9699
      @ashton9699 2 роки тому

      @@davidmccarthy6061 Well, not quite "being swapped out", not unless the station is totally broken and needs replacing and the company *really* wants to replace it with a CCS-only one. Even with the requirement for CHAdeMO in new stations having gone away it's not like it's prohibited or anything, just voluntary rather than mandatory. It paves the way for Electrify America to be dicks but other companies will still erect dual-standard stations in new installs.
