Sounds very good, free or not. I don't yet have the Valhalla but I do have the Melda. I've not used this particular Melda reverb either. I bought the whole free into low price multiple plug-in bundle.
My go-to reverb isn't free, so that's why it's going to be a bit more capable. My Relab LX480 V4 is great.
I like variety, so free plug-ins get easily added in my stack.

Sorry for the off-topic, but it would be sweet if you'd share what mic/preamp/plugins you use to record/mix your voice with. I think it's super comfortable to listen to. No harshness whatsoever. Very nice EQ curves, I can hear every letter. The S's are very smooth.

Thanks for watching! Unfortunately I try to keep that to myself so that our videos have a distinct sound - but I will say that Weiss De-esser is absolutely fantastic for Ess sounds, and a small-diaphragm condenser works really well for picking up the full frequency spectrum :]

I think to be fair you should put the same settings on the 2 plugins, but indeed Massive has more about creativity. Besides, MCharm preset names makes no sense which is a bit annoying when you need to find an appropriate preset as a start.

To be fair MELDA have 30 free plugins, we're apparently forerunners in the VST field and incredibly innovative, I mean Valhalla may own them for inspiration themselves? Good video but I think you could have gone a bit more like for like in comparison and mentioned what the MCharmVerb may be more suited for? Like many I have Super Massive and it is brilliant, but you could have shown the qualities of the Melda Verb a bit more, just to be fair? ;D

    • @puppetmasterreloaded3341

All the presets just tweek only the mix knob and put it to 12. Then its more of a reverb than delay. All setting just mix it down to 12 and dont tweek the other default settings and your good to go. Gemini with mix of 12 is fire my favorite preset
