How did you fit the AVRI mute plate on with the wider bridge?

@@adamshoop in order for the modification to work you must shim the neck (I put a .5 degree shim in mine but I tried .25,.5,.75,1 and found the .5 to be best for this) in order to raise the bridge high enough for the mute plate to not rub against the bridge. When setting up the mute I had to drill a 1/2” hole for the mute plunger, then I screwed the mounting screws in all the way and then backed them out about 3/4-1 full turn each screw to allow the plate to flick up and down. Place the bridge on top of the mute plate and flick it up and down and adjust those screws until you can actuate the mute and it not rub the bridge. The foam I used was the genuine fender mute plate foam blocks and without modification, I stacked both blocks that came in the bag on top of each other in order for the foam to press against the strings. You must use both blocks because the bridge height will sit higher over the mute plate than on an AVRI Jaguar and both blocks compensate for this nicely. So you shim the neck, raise the bridge, adjust your saddle height and intonation and you’re all set. Might take an hour or 2 and multiple times putting strings on and off so be patient and good luck!
