YO ELLIOTT - STRENGTH CAMP hey elliot I'm 5"7 295lbs I got belly fat I don't go out or socialize I'm looking from advice to start feeling good about myself in 2019 what's the best way to get started.
THE MIGHTY MIKE SHOW fruits have natural sugars in them, especially sweet fruits like apples, oranges, mangos, etc. and bananas shouldn’t be included in your veggies cause they’re very fatty. Stick to vegetables and lean meats plus the water, walking, and exercise. Those things together should burn fat like crazy
I Don't mind at all! It took me 9 months to go from 227 lb to 180 lb. After that, I lost focus and maintained for about 8 months. I picked it back up, went down to 170 lb in 3 months. I'm female, 65" tall. When I started, my lean body mass was at 114 lb. At the end, my LBM was 124 lb. For a woman my height, that's pretty decent for only doing body weight routines & walking. I was eating how he describes, which allowed me to maintain & gain muscle while losing fat. That protein is so damn important. I've gained back 15 lb of fat 2 years later because I got depressed and started eating like shit. But I've lost 6 lb this month, and I'm starting the 5x5 training this week.
Ghost of Zeeko Thanks for the detailed answer. I'm a 23 year old man myself and I'm slightly overweight and trying to lose at least 20 pounds. I'm especially trying to get rid of my belly fat. I eat healthy but can't find motivation to exercise (also problems with depression). I'm also afraid I won't lose any weight despite eating clean. I just hate the way I look. Anyhow congratulations on losing such an incredible amount of weight and good luck to you in the future.
When I started losing weight, I didn't do any strength exercises. The first 4 months, I just walked. Start at whatever time you want, and add 5 minutes the next time you do it. It doesn't cure my depression, but it takes some of the power out of it. Good luck to you, too.
This is the ONLY fat loss video I actually totally agree with. It worked for me, 100%. A few years ago I was overweight and chubby, I had man boobs and a belly and a flabby butt. Now I've gone from being considered overweight, to being considered muscular and defined. I began to do most of these things Elliott talks about (without knowing about this vid). It worked! I lost my horrible embarrassing man boobs, I lost the jiggly body fat! I am in great shape now and I actually like the way my body looks! What I did: - I only drank water, lots of it throughout the day. - I cut out alcohol almost entirely. - I switched my diet to vegetable rich, the only carb rich food I had was porridge in the morning and a small amount of pasta or rice at lunch, none for dinner. - I ate portions of chicken breast, tuna and egg white omelettes throughout the day with meals. - Dinner was a little chicken/fish with a selection of carrot, bell peppers, cucumber, celery and tomato (sometimes peas and sweetcorn). - I started walking to/from University (40mins each way) instead of catching the bus. - I hit the gym 3 times a week (and jogged initially for 15 mins a day, this gradually increased as I became fitter). Nowadays: - My diet is similar, slightly more protein and more carbs at lunch to keep up with my body's demand. - I now have one protein shake a day, for convenience only, to add protein if I had a protein-lacking meal. - Still drink lots of water. - Gym almost daily for an hour. - My jogs have become high intensity interval training for only 15 mins a day. There's a lot of BS out there on how to lose fat. Honestly these simple thing Elliott talks about worked for me fantastically.
I've cut out most starches and most carbs , I do eat some fruit, absolutely zero sugar, veg and meat) and I'm seeing results in about 2 months. I'm 40, so probably quicker results if you're younger. I workout about 3 times a week. My man boobs (always had a problem with them) have noticeably shrunk, pants are way loose.
krishiitm it takes time it doesnt happen over night but you will see results in a couple of weeks just follow elliots advice. plus eating vegetables will make u feel fuller cus of the fiber
Kay I did in the beginning to learn what foods had what and did what yo my body. And I will track my food if I hit a plateau. Down 100lbs at this point.
I went from 290 to 178 eating lots veggies, chicken breast, protein mixes with 0 carbs, absolutely no sugars and a gallon of water a day. Hard work in the gym (weight lifting) and 20 minute hard core cardio daily, with one day rest and THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE NO WEIGHT LOSS PILLS. I've been able to keep it off for a year now and I'm 34. Best of luck to all of you and remember we all started somewhere so don't worry about people judging you while your at the gym!!!
+Francisco Vazquez you have to find your own macros. Al our bodies are different and require different food. Here is what worked for my body type- 4egg whites and oatmeal and 2 coffee(no sugar) meal 2 pb2 sandwich meal 3- 6oz chicken Breast and 2 cups of salad Roman meal 4 chicken or salmon with 1 cup broccoli 1 hr before gym I had 1/2 apple and pre work out supplement 2 hrs of gym (30 minute cardio) last meal 8oz steak salad and and turkey burger. A gallon of water a day is a MUST!! This was to drop weight but remember this will take away muscle (actually all diets will). Workouts of cardio were mountain climbers- push-ups- pull ups- squats- jumping jacks -ropes- stairs- olyptical- lunges. DO NOT do any long distance jogging or running then you will get too scroney and no one like that! Lol I hope this helps oh and don't forget don't have cheat day until your 3 week of dieting. But on your cheat day don't worry about dieting just enjoy life lol good luck I hope this helped.
I've been walking 8 miles 4 in the morning and 4 in the evening for 3 months, I eat clean and drink a ton of water. I've lost 43 pounds since I've started. It works, it just freaking works.
These videos elliot looked very healthy and balanced. But these recent videos of him make me wonder of he's sick or just doesn't lift like he used to :/
@Block Chain he looks good for his age, it happens man. It'll happen to you too if you're lucky to live long enough. He's lean and mean now and still killing it.
Seb Sosa at the moment my willpower is so strong I basically don't care about hunger. I will get Ritalin soon though. (not illegally I have unnedicated IDD. severe ADD)
Dana Müller that's good. I was extremely fit and skinny when I was on meds. The meds helped with my appetite but I also exercised alot as well. Ever since I got off them i got really chubby tho. It's alot easier to not stuff ur face with food on Adderall / Ritalin Imo haha
I use romaine lettuce as a substitute for bread/wraps. Scrambled egg whites (or whole) with onions, jalapeños, tomatoes and whatever else -- wrap it in large romain lettuce leaves and you have an amazing source of protein and micro-nutrients.
Summary: 1. Eliminate all drinks except water. 2. Eliminate sugary and starchy carbohydrates from your diet (No bread, rice, anything sweet, keep fruits to a minimum). Replace with meat and vegetables. 3. Walk every single day for a full hour. Optional: Add weight training.
Wow am now commenting after 1month,n Trust me i am now 78kg,i was 85 when i saw this vid,i never did anything just went on walking for 3hours a day n had water a lot,had a lotta veges and now i am not overweight, there was a magical connection with his words to me,and surely that proved me the best,i am 6feet tall so 75-78kg is the required weight and now m in the range M now going to check out many other vids of him to be in the best shape Thanx a lot Elliot no doubt u r the best

Cutting out starch REALLY works, trust me. I've been weight training and some cardio for about 2 years, and just didn't seem to loose any flub. So, I've cut out most starches about 2 months ago, and massive results. Feel better, more energy, and really loosing flab and putting on muscle. The big difference is more energy let's me workout harder which further contributes to more energy. Listen to Elliot! Watch the rest of his vids too, the deadlift one is GREAT, awesome job of explaing correct form and keeping the forward is a huge help in correct chest form.
This video changed my life, 10 years ago. I was 18 at the time, completely overweight (102 kilo's) and i had no clue of how to lose weight. I've practiced what Eliott told me here for 10 years now, and i've looked amazing ever since i was 19. Many times i remembered that Eliott was the one who taught me this. I even taught friends of mine about this (by all the knowledge i've aquired over the years) simple life advice, BUT IT WORKS! Thank you Eliott
i lost 53 lbs in 3.5 months doing this...i still eat meat tho just no sugar breads of all kinds and dairy. Never worked out or did any excercise...all diet.
+ErikisOfficial but you have to be strict...cheat days will just cheat your progress. Eventually your eating habits will be a lifestyle and being more conscientious of what you eat. Still have 30lbs to go and feels great!
+Kamal Ahmed I'm at 290. I been walking 1.5 miles in the morning and at night. there are a bunch of steep hills in my area. it's a killer I killed all the bread.
took me a yr to lose 20lb or maybe less ... not sure, ppl at work started saying, are you ok ? you lost weight i did not even notice until somebody said something all diet, only water/veggies/fish/chicken walked 5-10 miles a day/ no other . no cheat day, no pills, all natural. AND STOP MEASURING YOUR SELF EVERY DAY, DO IT 6MONTHS LATER
I was 230 pounds in May 2012. I am now 152 pounds in April 2014. Took me forever, but I finally did it. His advice is correct, though I still ate a lot of rice and drank a lot of water. No sugar. Just water, rice, and oats.
This is the best and easiest way to shift weight . People don't like doing it this way coz it takes a lot of discipline . I cut all drinks out and just drank water no bread and only skimmed milk . And half hour cardio everyday and lost 2 stone in 6 week and I wasn't really that overweight , but I'm decent shape now and it's all down to just getting your head right and sticking to it .
I used to weigh 127kg, watched this video, no more coke, sugar, sweets, desserts, walked for an hour while listening Eckart Tolle, didn't weight train. Lost 30kg in less than a year. Last year I started weight training and now my focus is building muscle. I'm at 80kg now and life is great. YOU CAN DO IT TOO IT'S SUPER SIMPLE OMG
I remember watching this video in November of 2015 at 100kg.. by June 2016 I was 74kg.. Now watching it again after my first bulk 85kg, thanks for all the help Elliot!
"As you lose weight, you get smarter" 😊 Thank You Elliot for this practical advice - the best I've had for four years. and thanks for introducing Audio books too
For anyone watching this video later, I saw it when it was released. I was about 400 lbs at the time when I was 18 or so. I followed this as my weight loss journey. I now still have a stable 200 lbs at 6ft 3in. This has changed my life forever!!!
So glad I saw this video today. Currently I'm 239 LBS. I was 255 LBS back on May 14th, 2017. In the last week I've started hitting the exercise bike and just doing push ups and sit ups. Since May, I pretty much tried to eat a little better and have cut out a lot of sugary drinks. Pretty much just started drinking water since May. I'm going to start really looking into eating a lot better. My wife and I are in a tough spot in our marriage and I need to make myself happy again. I'm going to hit the bike tonight for a half hr and do some more pushups and sit ups. I wonder where I'll be in 3 months? Thanks for the advice Elliott. I might even subscribe if I can keep this going. I'm going to listen to this while I'm on the bike tonight. I want to be healthier for my Me/Wife/Children.
Hit the gym last week for the 1st time in nearly 9 years. I will weigh myself on March 1st. Still sticking to the water for 85% of my drinking. No fast food! I've had a few people already tell me that my face looks thinner. I've even seen some old muscles come back just in this short time period. My 7 year old son said "Dad, your chest looks bigger." I've hit the weights really light so far. Mainly training myself to get to the gym no matter what. I went 4 days last week and 3 days so far this week when I go tonight. I'll hit the gym Friday and Sunday to make it 5 days for the week. I have a wedding to go to next month in Pittsburgh that my wife already said that she won't be attending w/me. This is added motivation!!!!! It has been a good stress reliever so far but in about another week I'm going to start hitting the weights harder. Pretty much slow pacing because I still think I'm 27, but I'm not, I'm 37. Also what's helped me is I turn 40 in 2 1/2 years. That's scaring me a bit.
03-01-2018 = 228lbs. Lost 11lbs in 1 month. Month of March goal is to keep pushing forward and "LET'S GO!" I haven't seen under 230lbs in about 8 years.
I've been doing this for three and a half months! Every morning I go to the gym and hit the treadmill for an hour at least running a full mile as fast as I could and then walking the rest. Then I weight train. and then head home and eat only veggies and white meat for 5 days out of 7. Broccoli is my favorite cause it's the only vegetable that makes me feel good for some reason even if it does taste like dirt. Chicken meat with skin boiled or grilled. I like boiled cause I love the juices. I don't mind the fat it makes the chicken taste better. Key thing... everytime I come home from the gym, right away I pee and take off all my clothes and weigh myself. What I see on the scale? INSPIRATION! everyday I lose 2 to 3 pounds. went from 290 to 240 in 3 months and I didn't even have to starve myself like i used to. This guy is a genius!
I've followed this video's advice since 20 Setpt. 2018. Today is Oct 13. So 3 weeks. Here are my results. Results are in kilos. Multiply by 2.2 for pounds. Me: 6ft4. 45y. Starting weight: 125.1kg. Sept 20: 125.1 kg Oct 3: 119.6 kg Oct 7: 118.6 Oct 13: 116.4 -Water (+ coffee) -Weight train 6x week. 1 day upper body, 1 day lower. -Zero sugar. Only starch is 1 sweet potato about 2x week. -I walk - leisurely- 1.5 to 2 hrs per day. No other 'cardio.' -Fanatically measure calories. Mono-meals. Last 2.5 weeks, I eat the same dinner: 450g chicken breast, BAKED. 4-500 g broccolli. 5-10 carrots/snowpeas/cherry tomatoes.I eat exlusively whole foods (home made) chicken breast, broccoli, eggs, avocados, oatmeal and (canned) tuna. - My calories: Extremely low. I'm averaging 1400-1500 cals a day. For my size, thats a bit crazy and I'm worried about it. But for the next few weeks I just want to ride this out while listening to my body. I took 9 months off any training (plus v heavy drinking and smoking). So far I have been consistently going up in weights and strength (starting from exhaustion and very low weights). - Belly measurement (with measuring tape, 2 finger widths below the belly button: Started at 124 centimeters. Now at 115 centimeters. My belly already looks insanely thinner.
Yup, i've done similar. I've started consuming nothing but a varied salad, water, and a handful of nuts, 6 days a week. Occasionally eat some fish (and it helps that i love eating fish). I only leave 1 day a week to eat barbecue meat with friends or my pops, and some rice pudding for sweets (or a slice of cake at the Cafe if going out with someone). And i take a walk through the city as much as i can. Worked wonders on my weight and it feels good. That 1 day of indulgence especially helps because i feel as if the food i eat that day is much tastier than usual, and it becomes psychologically justifiable to endure the 6 days in anticipation, i simply don't feel any assaults of hunger during the salad days.
Guys I have been doing what this guy said before watching his video and it works. I have lost 53 pounds doing this. Walk 1 hr in the mourning, do some weight training and limit your calorie intake 1500-2000 depending on how much you want to lose. For obese people I recommend 1300-1500 cause the faster you lose weight the better it is for you.
So simple but so true 👌🏻. The starchy carbs arent the worst, as long as you minimize it. I just eat 1/2 cup of rice with chicken and veggies 1 hr before I workout for energy. Other than that, no other carbs in the day. Carbs are your friend if you need some energy or you’ll most likely get light headed and not good if you’re weight training. Thanks Elliot 🤙
Carbs are not your friend if you really want to lose weight, the more you cut out the less energy intake you will have and therefore the more weight reduction.
since my 7-8 months of losing 66lbs of fat and reading all of the most informative things about weight loss I think this is probably the most simplest yet best video I could give to somebody who wants to start losing weigh
bradley fizzy reading around online and on youtube, i heard the 0 carbs and sugar give you massive cravings, some dude said his friend developed kidney stones or something idk lol, others say they feel absolutely terrible.
+Quatch Kopf you're wrong. Its all about your macros and you should eat white rice over brown rice. Why? because brown rice contains compounds that can block the absorption of nutrients. White rice has had its hull removed leaving only the starch which is all your body needs to replenish the glucose stores that fuels your training. Its true that brown rice packs more vitamins and minerals but thats what vegetables are for.
Watched this back in 2015 during a 50 lbs weight loss. Coming back years later trying to trim down a bit more. This advice helped me go from fat and depressed to fit, active, and able to 360 a snowboard. Still depressed tho lol. Thanks Old E
I miss these videos from you man. Back in 2012 you helped motivate me and prepare my body for the Army. Got out in 2017 and two years later here in 2019, I find myself coming back to your old stuff for more guidance. Much love brother. Hope all is well.
Yes Hamza i knew about him,and i tried him before this channel but trust me what Mike does is more suited to professionals, moreover he doesnot explain anything clearly, just search mike changs 'loose belly fat' u will know
I've watched this vid several times over the lifetime I've been on utube. The audible book suggestion is one of the best suggestioned I have ever followed!
You can eat tons of fruit and be fine. There may be a lot of sugar in fruit but there is also a ton of fiber so that sugar doesn't stay in the body long. I eat two bananas every morning, an apple with every lunch, and berries for snacks. I don't do any serious exercise other than my physical activity at work and in a month I've lost 15 lbs. All that while having a beer every single night and eating pizza at least once a week.
elvismendoza150 Yeah, It's pretty hard to find folks on UA-cam that I agree 100% with (I agree with most of what Elliott is saying in this video) but with fruit I couldn't disagree more. I would agree more with Yuri Elkaim who is also on UA-cam about fruit. You should check out his channel. I don't agree with everything he suggests either but on fruit I think he's pretty spot on.
Savvy Savages Yeah but, if you tell to ppl to eat vegetables or fruits, they will obviously go almost only to fruits and finishing with too much sugar in their diet. Better say no fruits or 20% fruits 80% vegetables (empirically)
I do sets of 10 of each and I do a total of 10 sets throughout the day. I did the pushups throughout the process of weight loss but only was able to do pullups once I lost most of the weight.
+yoco93cro not all fruits have a lot of fructose .. a simple rule is to avoid the ones that taste too sweet (like oranges or mandarins ) choose an apple or a banana or a kiwi or even grapes and youll be ok
Bro...this is the first time I seen this...and let me tell you...I have been doing this for 2 months every step that was mentioned...and it works..real talk...this man knows what he is talking bout...
Here's a protip: - Don't eat more than 100g of carbs every day. - Protein intake should be about 1,4 to 1,6g per kg bodyweight. - Eat about 60-80g fat every day. - Eat meat and drink protein shake after workout. - Train on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. - Do HIIT on Sunday or at least do cardio. - Don't drink alcohol. That's it my boys.
Works man day one dropped starches eating meat stews with veggies and drinking water felt a nice warm burning in my extra gut while walking. You da man💪💪💪💪👍
This is the best video I've watched regarding weight loss and muscle gain at the same time. So brief and straight to the point with less Jargons. I have subscribed!
The problem is that this is not a sustainable diet. Yes, you will definitely lose fat doing this, but it won't work for the long term. You'll always feel hungry, you'll always feel thirsty, and your mood will be at an all time low. To lose fat permanently, you shouldn't get on a diet, but rather change your lifestyle. Probably the best way to do that is eat clean. Get in as many calories as you like, but make sure they're coming from healthy sources like beef, chicken, fish, shrimp etc etc. Include lots of fruits I your diet, as they will fight off those sweet cravings. Pure natural honey is good too. It's delicious and healthy. You will lose fat slowly this way, but you'll lose it for good. It's the healthy way to lose fat. And then once you start lifting, you'll be looking shredded in about 3 months of lifting cuz you've already lost that fat. Hope I was helpful :)
I agree with you in that it should be a lifestyle change. However, I want to lose weight fast and I have found that by following this vid (50- 100 carbs a day), I lost the lose weight fast. Would you say it's a good plan to continue following this vid until I am content with my fat loss, and then do what you suggested to maintain the weight I am content with?
+Trinith R I think that would work as long as you can go on with it. If you're comfortable, then by all means buddy. I was just stating an opinion in my last comment People lose weight all kinds of ways, so even though eating clean works for me, I don't know if it'll work for the next person.
+poopooplatas PLEASE HELP: Question: i was told that cauliflower is broken down into little sugars as well as corn(since corn has natural sugars). If im following elliots advice, can i still eat cauliflower, corn or broccoli? I CANT LIVE WITHOUT BROCCOLI! D:
+legolas rahman OMG. So great lost 20 lbs of FAT. Now I look skinny and feel better about myself and lift weights every other day. Cutting my calorie intake, and carbs!
+legolas rahman I personally do 1 hour of cardio(jogging on tredmill) on my off days. And I lift weights on the days I don't do cardio. Incline bench press, decline bench press, close grip bench press, shoulder shrugs, skull crushers, dips, squats, some other exercises that escape my mind right now. But that's mostly it. :)
I eat bread and rice on a regular basis, but I do drink a lot of water and eat a lot of vegtables and protein. I also work out 3 times a week. Is it going to be a big problem in the future if I keep eating rice and bread?
No not at all, he is talking directly to a kid who wants to lose weight rapidly. If you are a reasonably serious weight trainer you should add carbohydrates around your workouts for optimal strength. But if you are just going for an all out rapid cut, then you should definitely take Elliot's advice. Hope this helps :)
No keep fucking carbed up! But remember if you take in more calories then your body consume you will store energy in a form of fat, no matter of what the calories come from!
Elliott is talking more about white rice, white bread. It's a glecemic index thing, just grab things that are low on the list, but try to get the majority of your calories from vegetables. I know that's hard as fuck but you will drop weight like nobodies business if you eat primarily vegies. I know because i've done it, my moms done it, my dad's done it and my roommate has done it.
***** 3-4 pounds a week without exercise besides walking to school and on campus. You do have to watch out though because if you loose weight too fast you might loose muscle. But you could loose more if you wanted to.
How crazy is it to go back to the video that started it all for me. I did every single thing you said in this video, i went from 220 to 180 in 3 months. 40 lbs lost. I Walk a mile, drank only water, ate only chicken broccoli and did weight training mixed with cardio. I ended up gaining all that weight back and more. November 2013 - Feb 2014 everything was great. It wasn't till march that I started gaining the weight. It is now 2018 and I am now 280 lbs. And I've tried so hard to lose weight but couldnt. But this time I want to accomplish my goal. Things are different now though. Back then i was a freshman in high school when I began my journey. I was sitting in class with cold ac. Didnt have a job. And Now I graduated I have a job and At 280 lbs I am now diabetic, high blood pressure and suffer massive headaches. I want my life back. Here is where I need your help. Now Every single morning I have a bad headaches, my blood pressure is high and I feel horrible. I work in construction with miami weather. 90 degree heat. And it makes it even worse. I carry heavy all day and sweat alot. So doing all the heavy work I drink lots of soda and monster energy drinks. And I feel like if I cut the soda and greasy food from the lunch truck. I wont have energy just drinking water and eating broccoli with chicken. Knowing what you now. Would you change anything from what you said in that video ? Any advice how should I start ? Would appreciate a reply maybe even a new video. You'll always be a big role model to me. This is me asking and reaching out for help.
Do what he said, your pain will start to go away as you get healthier. Drink lots of water No sugars Walk everyday. Vegetables and protein. Good luck friend.
I'm 16 with the exact same problems Eliot described the other kid as. What if I follow all these steps but for my meat (protein) I use a protein powder (whey, epiq, ect) And mix it with water ? Will that be a better solution?
The name says it all. Bend over Rows, bend over flys, bend over curls, bend over kickbacks, bend over cable extensions, bend over dips, bend over calf raises, Ben Dover !
YO ELLIOT hey ive seen your videos and the two most helpful were this one, and one called "Out of shape? Just do this" I believe. Well ive gotten the advice but I have a few questions 1, if I only get 5 hours of sleep a day, will I never lose weight or does it just make me wanna eat more 2, do you have any tips for jogging because my shins always hurt when I jog 3, do you have any tips on school kids trying to lose weight? Like could I lose weight if I just ate fruits or just ate vegetables? 4, what do you think of Mike Chang's Afterburn effect? Do you use that concept to workout too? Anything will help and be appreciated, Thanks!
To reduce the shin splints you to focus and let your feet hang when running then push off the ground don't ever try to keep your feet pointing up or straight
yeah land on your toes. you will the difference but it takes some practice and it feels like you're using more work. so don't feel bad if you have to rest more often
oh ok, i went to Planet Fitness today and i tried jogging heel toe, then i tried jogging on my toes. and My calves kinda burned both ways, but heel-toe wasn't that comfortable anyway. But thanks Jacob!
It’s videos like this that got me from 219 down to 159 over the course of two years beginning 5 years ago... now I’m 184 again so it’s time... I went from some overweight above average gamer to an above average beast who benched 300 lbs, deadlifted 435, and squatted 400, but I haven’t lifted weights for years and only focus on climbing which got me in the best shape of my life after a weightlifting injury. Elliot, you should do a rock climbing collab video with a famous climber. Climbing will be in the olympics, is one of the fast growing consumer sports, and is huge in Europe. Talk about business opportunity.
I'm gonna follow this plan! I'm gonna see if it works! Currently I'm 95 kilos, Imma see if it drops to 90 in a month or so. Update 1: I've only dropped 1 kilo, but that's prolly because I didn't follow the no starchy foods rule, third world country problem. The first week felt pretty exhausting, but the more I kept brisk walking and weight lifting, the more the pain started to go away. Next update in a couple of weeks.
Im 17 now, when I was 16 I was also really overweight... I started running atleast 5 kilometers a day and in half an year, i lost most of the fat! Now im focusing the most on weight training and hope to have a muscular body before I'm 18!
You seem so confident in this yo Elliot! I almost wanna challenge you. I got a gut from Hell! Shit won't go down for ANYthing. Well, anything healthy... I'm gonna do this for 6 weeks.... & we will see. I'll be back -__- (in my villain voice)
I did a lot of walking. At the morning, when I go to work, I would for about 15-20 minutes or about a kilometer. After I log out in the afternoon, I'd walk for 3 kilometers. It did great for me. I lost for as much as 50 pounds in almost a year. I wasn't even doing any weight training. What I did was drink a lot of water, like a glass of water every time I'd go the bathroom and eat a lot of bananas because sometimes I'd suffer from cramps on my calves while walking.
DeRodd DeBose >_< Couldn't do that for 6 weeks. But I did do that walking and drinking more water. I ate less sugar and salt. I lost a little weight but not a huge amount. I toned up. I'm gonna try it again, tho. I'm determined. Thanks for asking!

Where are the videos with your brother???
Bro what about shakes ? The diet ones
What about brown rice the whole complete grain? and brown bread? they're complex carbs
YO ELLIOTT - STRENGTH CAMP hey elliot I'm 5"7 295lbs I got belly fat I don't go out or socialize I'm looking from advice to start feeling good about myself in 2019 what's the best way to get started.
Optic500 none of them
1) Drink water
2) No sugars
3) Eat veggies & proteins
4) Walk everyday
5) Weight train
And i just ate sweets with sugaaar
No fruit?
THE MIGHTY MIKE SHOW fruits have natural sugars in them, especially sweet fruits like apples, oranges, mangos, etc. and bananas shouldn’t be included in your veggies cause they’re very fatty. Stick to vegetables and lean meats plus the water, walking, and exercise. Those things together should burn fat like crazy
is dairy ok to eat like cheese n shit?
shoot i am eating sweets
After losing 60 lb of fat I can confirm this worked for me
How long did it take you? if you don't mind me asking.
Good luck to you, too.
do you need help Tommy? I can help
What I did:
- I only drank water, lots of it throughout the day.
Nowadays:
- My diet is similar, slightly more protein and more carbs at lunch to keep up with my body's demand.
Wow good for you
+Yonghai Jiang
hahaha- Its just the diet.
How long did it take you? And what was your before weight and after weight? Thanks in advance
This video changed my life. Ive lost 30lbs in 4 months just by listening to what you said here. Thank you!
Chad Parker good job.
Good job
Kay I did in the beginning to learn what foods had what and did what yo my body. And I will track my food if I hit a plateau. Down 100lbs at this point.
@@chadparker9578 woah! Nice job man keep it going im rooting for you🤗✌🏽
This is why i love Elliot. He is simple in his answers and is always fucking right.
+Sedrick SK thank you and congrats to you too!
+Ívan Skelfilegi try it out bro, it's been a life changer for me. I wish you the best of luck and work hard brother!
ayye bro congrats but what did u ate for breakfast lunch and dinner and what workouts did u do to lose weight
+rafael hernandez what about lifting weights
I've been walking 8 miles 4 in the morning and 4 in the evening for 3 months, I eat clean and drink a ton of water. I've lost 43 pounds since I've started. It works, it just freaking works.
todd howard: it just works
How many carbs did you eat if any ?
And this is a surprise? Eat clean and exercise, who'd of thought it?
its just freaking works
Herk Vapes how clean your meal bro ? Any description ?
It’s been 6 years now......kinda wanna see how Ben Dover lol got on
These videos elliot looked very healthy and balanced. But these recent videos of him make me wonder of he's sick or just doesn't lift like he used to :/
i think he got bended over
I met Ben Dover he became ripped and was now training for Mr Olympia
@Block Chain he looks good for his age, it happens man. It'll happen to you too if you're lucky to live long enough. He's lean and mean now and still killing it.
I can't speak for Ben but I started doing basically this in January and lost 70 lbs in about 6 months.
When you've been eating right and exercising long enough you will accept that there is no easy way out. It's consistency and lifestyle changes.
Adderall tho ...
Seb Sosa what is Adderall going to do besides improving focus and suppressing appetite??
Dana Müller you just answered ur question, suppress appetite
Summary:
1. Eliminate all drinks except water.
2. Eliminate sugary and starchy carbohydrates from your diet (No bread, rice, anything sweet, keep fruits to a minimum). Replace with meat and vegetables.
3. Walk every single day for a full hour. Optional: Add weight training.
Danny Y are potatoes ok?
No. Anything with starch is a no go. Potatoes are pretty much 100% starch.
Without carbs how I get energy
I eat complex carbs is it ok ?
Tushar kumar Exactly. I need my fruits because they have healthy sugars.
Is he the father of Tyler1?
haha ikr

Sanjay Sharma CONGRATS!! How long did it take if you don’t mind me asking
Gabbyzirk75 vegans can. Get solid protein from Seitan
@Uneek Lifestyle Paneer (cottage cheese) good protein source for Vegetarians
Can you eat roti? I guess it is a kind if bread though
@Kay I ate bajra, jowar and barley roti. for protein, I took vegan protien shake
This is probably the most sincere advice I have ever watched. Thank you Eliot!
Wow am now commenting after 1month,n Trust me i am now 78kg,i was 85 when i saw this vid,i never did anything just went on walking for 3hours a day n had water a lot,had a lotta veges and now i am not overweight, there was a magical connection with his words to me,and surely that proved me the best,i am 6feet tall so 75-78kg is the required weight and now m in the range
M now going to check out many other vids of him to be in the best shape
Thanx a lot Elliot
no doubt u r the best
hey n3ro did you what time did you walk?
And what what kind of meals did you make with your vegetables?
Also what starches did you eat? (if any, because I have a hard time)
XXnaloXX
listen bro i can challenge u will loose weight and fat n moobs
1.Drink water a lot,A LOT
2. after u wake up in the morning, without breakfast go out for a walk for about 1 hour, and after u return have ur breakfast,in the evening continue the same process
3. try to avoid bread,if u want have brown bread, break ur daily diet into 5parts,breakfast at 8-9am,then another at 11am-12pm,lunch at 2-3pm,snacks at 5-6pm,dinner at 9-10pm
I am from India so i follow this time
4. In our country Rice is must everyday,so i tried to limit my rice only at 1bowl at lunch
5. DONT FORGET TO WALK WITH EMPTY STOMACH AND DRINK A LOT OF WATER
dont walk casually,walk with a pace,so that u can complete 3-5+km in 1hour
6. Try to engage in heavy work avoid pc,playstation as much as u can
Cutting out starch REALLY works, trust me.
Andy Somogyi what carbs do you eat?
What kind of starch did u cut out? I'd imagine losing weight would make you hungry so how does cutting starch make you lose fat
So sick!!!
Same lol. 10 year ago i was 16 and watched this and got so impressed
i watched hundreds of similar videos but for some reason this is the one that motivated me the most
Yeah
Cz of the facts with no sugarcoating
i lost 53 lbs in 3.5 months doing this...i still eat meat tho just no sugar breads of all kinds and dairy. Never worked out or did any excercise...all diet.
how much did you weigh originally?
+ErikisOfficial 270
+ErikisOfficial but you have to be strict...cheat days will just cheat your progress. Eventually your eating habits will be a lifestyle and being more conscientious of what you eat. Still have 30lbs to go and feels great!
+Kamal Ahmed I'm at 290. I been walking 1.5 miles in the morning and at night. there are a bunch of steep hills in my area. it's a killer I killed all the bread.
took me a yr to lose 20lb or maybe less ... not sure, ppl at work started saying, are you ok ? you lost weight i did not even notice until somebody said something
all diet, only water/veggies/fish/chicken walked 5-10 miles a day/ no other .
no cheat day, no pills, all natural.
Congrats buddy for losing weight! :)
Dude.. Forever? .. what are 2 years for you ? .. This is not forever.. Think about it. . :) Congrats for the work!.. Go on ! ;)
Ofc im happy for you .. buy i wanted to say. .what is 2 years overal for your life :) ..
I have done this religiously for 3 months and I have lost 15 kgs. You got this. This works.
no rice... but I'm Asian..
Hahahahaha😂 The struggle, although I'm not Asian my mom cooks rice every day😂
just eat brown rice, and keep the quantity down. should be alright
well well i just ate 3 bowls of rice .... im asian
lol
that's the hardest for me. I can throw anything away except rice. That white steaming and gleaming pearly substance.
How much is 2 stone exactly?
28 pound pedro
Oh wow that's a lot good job bro!!
+Stu. Birchall. only 30 minutes?
An intense 30 minutes though , no fucking around I prefer circuit and interval training as opposed to just slogging it out on the bike or treadmill.
"Sugar, like anything sweet bro" - Elliot Hulse
xVicmacx yes, this should be a T-shirt
The Truth huh? Lol
I remember watching this video in November of 2015 at 100kg.. by June 2016 I was 74kg.. Now watching it again after my first bulk 85kg, thanks for all the help Elliot!
The pause after 'Ben Dover's" name sent me lmbo 😹
Sung Mook He almost got disappointed 😂
Lmaoo
Dying cus he never heard of that joke name 💀
Omfg how the heck did i miss this before?! 😂😂😂
That was me 😂 fuck this didn't age well
"As you lose weight, you get smarter" 😊 Thank You Elliot for this practical advice - the best I've had for four years. and thanks for introducing Audio books too
For anyone watching this video later, I saw it when it was released.
Hanson Fam did you get any results yet?
Update time please.
Update bro
“Paralysis by analysis “....love that!
As a busy female, I loved this plan. Straight to the point, easy to stick to and yields results. Thank you.
It's all about getting in the habit. Once this becomes habit, there is nothing that can stop you. I'm down 20 after 5 weeks.
This is possibly Eliiot's best video.
I've followed this video's advice since 20 Setpt. 2018. Today is Oct 13. So 3 weeks. Here are my results. Results are in kilos. Multiply by 2.2 for pounds. Me: 6ft4. 45y. Starting weight: 125.1kg.
Sept 20: 125.1 kg
Oct 3: 119.6 kg
Oct 7: 118.6
Oct 13: 116.4
-Water (+ coffee)
-Weight train 6x week. 1 day upper body, 1 day lower.
-Zero sugar. Only starch is 1 sweet potato about 2x week.
-I walk - leisurely- 1.5 to 2 hrs per day. No other 'cardio.'
-Fanatically measure calories.
Carbs are not your friend if you really want to lose weight, the more you cut out the less energy intake you will have and therefore the more weight reduction.
since my 7-8 months of losing 66lbs of fat and reading all of the most informative things about weight loss I think this is probably the most simplest yet best video I could give to somebody who wants to start losing weigh
combined this advice with IF. i lost 20kg in 8 weeks. still need to lose another 15kg to reach my goal tho.
+Mus May great job man :)
Exaggerating
+Mus May I've heard this diet can fuck you up, is that true???
+xunit94 how so?
bradley fizzy
reading around online and on youtube, i heard the 0 carbs and sugar give you massive cravings, some dude said his friend developed kidney stones or something idk lol, others say they feel absolutely terrible.
You are officially my new favorite fitness channel. Subscribed.
I have lost close to 30 lbs in a month by doing this exact thing. And this was before I seen the video. The walking and diet is huge.
I've seen this video plenty of times, but that first Ben Dover just made me laugh too hard 😂😂😂
Astafirallah man I was immature back then 😅
Audible must love you for the free advertising.
I just downloaded the app.
Who likes to pay? i got the audio book for free, waddup torrents
TheIseethings
LOL this is soo true.
The sixpackshortcuts guy also did some audible advertisement in some of his recent videos. Maybe they pay the big fitness youtubers for that.
Who cares? It's a good service. :)
I've lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks by just cutting out soda and power-walking on the treadmill for an hour 4 days a week.
What a load of horseshit, anyone who upvoted this is ignorant.
Floki 😂😂
@@floki5605 Well this can be someone that jump started their weight loss journey.
Floki he could be 270/280 you never know haha
@@floki5605 I dont how much that is in KGs but you can loose alot of WATER WEIGHT in just a day or . Thats probebly whaty happened.
I'm Asian and I don't thing I can do this
How can I live without rice
+Bella Woods I seriously am Asian...
mario fan oh sorry I thought you were being a troll. >.
+mario fan I feel you. I'm South African. I live on rice and tea lol
+mario fan Switch to brown rice. White rice spikes your blood sugar while brown rice does not.
John Mitchell he’s just straight up to the point and real the rest of the videos are sellouts and tell u nothing just make you buy there diet plan lol
"Paralysis by analysis" is such a real life issue man. Thank you for that!
THIS GUY IS THE BEST,have a huge knowledge which is the best
truee but also try mike changs six pack shortcuts hes good to
Yes Hamza i knew about him,and i tried him before this channel but trust me what Mike does is more suited to professionals, moreover he doesnot explain anything clearly, just search mike changs 'loose belly fat'
u will know
N3ROGamingHD
N3ROGamingHD Mike chang is a scam. the guy is a noob
Ok I was about to say no fruit dafuq lol
elvismendoza150 Yeah, It's pretty hard to find folks on UA-cam that I agree 100% with (I agree with most of what Elliott is saying in this video) but with fruit I couldn't disagree more. I would agree more with Yuri Elkaim who is also on UA-cam about fruit. You should check out his channel. I don't agree with everything he suggests either but on fruit I think he's pretty spot on.
elvismendoza150 You should eat fruit, but dont drink juice. One glass of Juice is basically 6-7 fruits. Imagine eating 7 fruits at once.
Geerhardus Fox Fruit also has a lot of sugar, you shouldn't eat too much
Savvy Savages Yeah but, if you tell to ppl to eat vegetables or fruits, they will obviously go almost only to fruits and finishing with too much sugar in their diet.
Better say no fruits or 20% fruits 80% vegetables (empirically)
Man but it's so hard to lose belly fat if you aren't really fat i mean i have belly but i'm not overweight so it's 10x times harder to lose it.
+Kone HIBRID wtf?
Ur dumb?
you're*
that is what Jeff (athleanx) calls the "no man's land" lol, very hard to get out of.
Wow, i'm so offended
Just water, no sugar, bread, or rice, eat veggies and meat, walk every day, weight training.
I lost 100 lbs over 16 months doing this and working out . Kinda forgot to say thank you before man 👍👍 thanks alot!!
I do the eating and walking plan exactly as you say but instead of weight training I do pushups and pullups.
Yes I did it for 18 months and ate totally clean etc and am able to see 4 of my abs.
I do sets of 10 of each and I do a total of 10 sets throughout the day. I did the pushups throughout the process of weight loss but only was able to do pullups once I lost most of the weight.
I'd recommend also squats
you don't even need weight, just look for calisthenic routines on youtube
and legs????
Thanks for getting right to the point great video....
Although fruits have fructose which is sugar, I still think they are good because they are rich in minerals and vitamins
+yoco93cro and fiber, and the glycemic load is not usually high with the exception of bananas grapes and apples
nun ya yes, and I like fruits
+yoco93cro So would you still be able to lose weight if you eat more fruit than vegetables?
Nathan Abbott you would loose weight if you cut bread, pasta, sweets
+yoco93cro not all fruits have a lot of fructose .. a simple rule is to avoid the ones that taste too sweet (like oranges or mandarins ) choose an apple or a banana or a kiwi or even grapes and youll be ok
Bro...this is the first time I seen this...and let me tell you...I have been doing this for 2 months every step that was mentioned...and it works..real talk...this man knows what he is talking bout...
Here's a protip:
- Don't eat more than 100g of carbs every day.
100 grams of carbs is to much. No more than 50 grams of carbs per day is ideal.
Liked that except the protein shake bit, don't need it.
Works man day one dropped starches eating meat stews with veggies and drinking water felt a nice warm burning in my extra gut while walking.
You da man💪💪💪💪👍
this dude seriously looks like a bald version of John Cena

This is the best video I've watched regarding weight loss and muscle gain at the same time. So brief and straight to the point with less Jargons. I have subscribed!
"Paralysis by analysis." Totally spot on...
19, 6 ft tall, 240 lbs. Starting this plan tomorrow. Wish me luck.
20, 6 ft tall, 184 pounds (wanna lose some fat) started today! gl man
What are you doing for breakfast?
Love the dig on 'sugar' :) - I switched to unsweetened almond milk to replace cows milk.
This guy ..... a sensible advice, no bull shit, no confusing theories.
That look at the beginning after the first "Ben Dover" cracked me up.
Sorry, I meant lose the weight fast
+Trinith R I think that would work as long as you can go on with it. If you're comfortable, then by all means buddy. I was just stating an opinion in my last comment People lose weight all kinds of ways, so even though eating clean works for me, I don't know if it'll work for the next person.
+poopooplatas PLEASE HELP: Question: i was told that cauliflower is broken down into little sugars as well as corn(since corn has natural sugars). If im following elliots advice, can i still eat cauliflower, corn or broccoli? I CANT LIVE WITHOUT BROCCOLI! D:
i agree with you on this
today is the first day of the rest of your life
8 years from now. Going to do it today. 13.02.21.
I watched this video in 2013 or 2015 but didnt followed it.
Will do it now.
😡That's it😡! I'm going to try his tips and advice! Fuck being overweight😤! I will post my results in a few weeks! Wish me luck!!!
how's it going?
+legolas rahman OMG. So great lost 20 lbs of FAT. Now I look skinny and feel better about myself and lift weights every other day. Cutting my calorie intake, and carbs!
curtis gilford nice to know bro, what exercises would you recommend me to do?
+legolas rahman I personally do 1 hour of cardio(jogging on tredmill) on my off days. And I lift weights on the days I don't do cardio. Incline bench press, decline bench press, close grip bench press, shoulder shrugs, skull crushers, dips, squats, some other exercises that escape my mind right now. But that's mostly it. :)
+curtis gilford thanks man, genuinely appreciate your help. it's good to hear you've lost weight.
Stop eating rice and bread. Why do you think Mexico is the fattest country in the world?
Drink lots of water
No sugars
Walk everyday.
Vegetables and protein.
Good luck friend.
1:34 - Step 1 (water drinks only)
2:00 - Step 2 (stop ALL sugar)
3:28 - Step 3 (walk an hour everyday)
Good thing they made Pokemon Go
you shouldnt need a game to go outside...
+Grumpy Kitten Ace lol atleast he has a good reason to go outside and kid? I your discrediting all adults of being able to outside with out a game
***** well you shouldn't need a game to go outside I'm autistic and I go outside everyday
Pokemon Go fuck yourself chump
+DK GamingHD I'm with you bro
Great information. Thanks
My parents don't love me :(
God loves u.. Jesus does
all parents love their children u don't know until u become a father or a mother
I love you.
haha
Neither do mine, but I can't blame them....
I'm 16 with the exact same problems Eliot described the other kid as. What if I follow all these steps but for my meat (protein) I use a protein powder (whey, epiq, ect) And mix it with water ? Will that be a better solution?
Shouldn't be worse
I imagine natural is better. Meat really doesn't have that many calories if it's not super fatty.
MEAT, you really don't want that shit into your system if you have a natural option at hand.
If you're just taking whey protein you could miss out on BCAAs
Don't replace whole foods with supplements. Remember, a supplement is exactly what it says it is: 'supplement'.
Ben Dover xDDD
im crying XDD
+Denee Weathers omg it was so funny, especially when Elliott paused just judging the name
+Denee Weathers i'm laughing so hard xDDDDDDDD
+Denee Weathers HAHAHAH I RED IT 5 TIMES TO GET IT XD
The name says it all. Bend over Rows, bend over flys, bend over curls, bend over kickbacks, bend over cable extensions, bend over dips, bend over calf raises, Ben Dover !
Very straight forward and just what I need!

YO ELLIOT
hey ive seen your videos and the two most helpful were this one, and one called "Out of shape? Just do this" I believe. Well ive gotten the advice but I have a few questions
1, if I only get 5 hours of sleep a day, will I never lose weight or does it just make me wanna eat more
2, do you have any tips for jogging because my shins always hurt when I jog
3, do you have any tips on school kids trying to lose weight? Like could I lose weight if I just ate fruits or just ate vegetables?
4, what do you think of Mike Chang's Afterburn effect? Do you use that concept to workout too?
Anything will help and be appreciated, Thanks!
I forgot to mention im 15, Turning 16 in January.
To reduce the shin splints you to focus and let your feet hang when running then push off the ground don't ever try to keep your feet pointing up or straight
Jacob Horton you mean to jog heel-toe rather than jogging on the balls of my feet?
yeah land on your toes. you will the difference but it takes some practice and it feels like you're using more work. so don't feel bad if you have to rest more often
oh ok, i went to Planet Fitness today and i tried jogging heel toe, then i tried jogging on my toes. and My calves kinda burned both ways, but heel-toe wasn't that comfortable anyway. But thanks Jacob!
Thank you Bro, from 183lb to 164lb
The fist 4 days is the hardest but now the only sugar I take is from real fruit
👍👍👍👍
Oh my belly is down a lot . I’m going to be doing it for a flag abdomen
"some parents dont love them.." lol good save.
Ben Dover... I don't get it
Bruh
Illhitu Dover. Ben Dover.
Illhitu bend over you fuck
I thought of it as bent over
Illhitu bart simpson at it again
I'm gonna follow this plan! I'm gonna see if it works! Currently I'm 95 kilos, Imma see if it drops to 90 in a month or so.
Update 1: I've only dropped 1 kilo, but that's prolly because I didn't follow the no starchy foods rule, third world country problem. The first week felt pretty exhausting, but the more I kept brisk walking and weight lifting, the more the pain started to go away. Next update in a couple of weeks.
Be sure to update this post.
@@originalTriniOne I absolutely will.
Bappo Jujubes did it work?
What about drinking coffee (black)?
Im 17 now, when I was 16 I was also really overweight... I started running atleast 5 kilometers a day and in half an year, i lost most of the fat! Now im focusing the most on weight training and hope to have a muscular body before I'm 18!
A how’s it going
How about doing a high intensity work out in the morning for 20 minutes?
That's really effective too I think
sean penn Yeah I'm doing the 7 minute work out three times equalling up to 21 minutes.
You seem so confident in this yo Elliot!
I almost wanna challenge you. I got a gut from Hell! Shit won't go down for ANYthing. Well, anything healthy... I'm gonna do this for 6 weeks.... & we will see. I'll be back -__- (in my villain voice)
u need to come workout with me, intense cardio, drink alot of green tea, I got so much shit to work that belly fat off baby gurl!
How'd it go?
Well? Are you still a fatso? lol
DeRodd DeBose >_< Couldn't do that for 6 weeks. But I did do that walking and drinking more water. I ate less sugar and salt. I lost a little weight but not a huge amount. I toned up. I'm gonna try it again, tho. I'm determined. Thanks for asking!
