Chris, you simply produce the best motorcycle product reviews on UA-cam. I ride an Arai Quantum X but purchased a Shoei X Fifteen two months ago and love it for its safety and fit.
Great review as always Chris, bought a number of items from motolegends from Rokker jeans to belstaff, your comprehensive reviews were spot on. Will be returning again soon👍👍
I have to say PFS makes a real difference. I had a PFS fitting (at another shop) when i bought an NXR-2 and it's the first time I've ever felt like my helmet really fits me.
Having owned the same helmet for almost a year now...I always felt it was heavy on my brow. Making it hard to move my eyes and quite tiring after riding for some time. I tolerated it because the rest fit well, but was heavily considering buying a new helmet with a different brand. I did the PFS a couple days ago. Initial I thought my head was flat at the top so the helmet sat a tad lower than it should, but some quick measurements from the staff, and the system said that actually, all around the top of my head it was slightly narrow. A few strategically placed pads later and the helmet felt like a new thing. One that fit just right. That heavy feeling on my brow was gone, now that the helmet sat on my head how it was supposed to. It is an underrated, but hugely important after sales service that Shoei provide.
In the Shoei range, the NXR2 might be a more suitable choice for your Hayabusa. There again, some people choose a top of the range race helmet for the protection and technology that comes with it.
