This was a great learning experience and helped give me clarity on what to focus on. This is a great channel, really informative, at first I thought you were like the rest if the shouty youtubers trying to get clicks but no you guys have great business advice. I don't sell POD but can apply your methods. I really appreciate the work you both do here, thank you
As a candle seller on Etsy, selling for different occasions, teachers, moms, retirement, memorial, bridesmaids, etc. Should I still niche down? Since candles can now be POD,MY sales have gone down 56% since last year... this is a lot, especially that my husband and I are both in this and have 3 children. And my best-selling item last year got copied in a matter of weeks... as a Canadian business, I find it very difficult to compete pricewise since our supplies are more expensive, shipping as well, etc.
As far as the price of marketing, possibly look for someone in your community that may want to take editing, filming, etc as a side gig. Or possibly barter that. Look for a student looking for experience.
Thank you! She was a fighter, though! I rescued her from someone who wasn't taking good care of her (hence her egg bound situation). But once she recovered from surgery she rebounded and had a great bearded dragon life with me. :)
