I have over 400 hours in this game. Yes the game is for free on Steam but the stuff in game is quite expensive. But its fun to play with friends.

Silver if you plan to keep playing the game, you can set your controls in the settings. (Top right while in menu). Dodge button can be useful but i recommend not relying on it because of the stamina drop.
Instead that braking you were doing is perfect!
Also, the boost button! You're on pc i presume, so it should by default be W? I think? Super helpful!
Fly around the blue lines and updrafts for stamina and avoid fire by braking and turning at the same time towards where the fire is coming from.
The fire breath you need to escape by getting out of range.
Gates is a race to get one flag through 8 ...well gates.
Spoils is gold hoarding. Kill gold carriers and deposit. Get the bomb first and bring it to the enemy base.
Carnage is murder. If you play wind guard (long neck girl rider), use your special (rage). The button is on screen, bottom right.
I stopped playing for months but there's instructions in game for the modes
350 hours in this game- great game, lots of issues. Wish it had a bigger playerbase, because I love this game and don’t want it to die haha

I advice to try tutorial and free flight mode for little practise. I also play on controller, it is easy for me to manuver around. Regardless it will be a plesure to see you in skyes.

I can teach you how to play this game, it is hard to understand the controls, but once you get it it's easy

I have 444,2 h played on steam. I wish there would be more dragon racing games like centyry but without cashgrab and mooooore lot more earnable dragons.
I never learned the dodge button ... btw. Buttons. I allways forget there is dodge buttons cuz I always focus so much on other buttons. I don't need doge. Just ram through fire ha ha
This game used to be full of players and was a lot of fun, but the devs unfortunately ruined it with their updates. Graphics, animations and game mechanics are really good, but nobody plays it anymore, maybe around 300 people :/
Out of curiosity, what did the devs do ?
@@Squishy_SealBugs/glitches out the ass, resold founders products (exclusive items), iron coin gain is LAUGHABLE (barely 150. A legendary dragon (which is 99% of shop) is 20k coin.), free gems are limited to like ..50? Iirc? Legends cost 2k. It used to be worse.. no gem gain and coins were lucky to reach 60. Devs are not transparent at all, you will know nothing. Discord isn't helpful, ask certain questions and give certain opinions on classes, shop, or the game in general and the moderators or devs will silence you via mute, deleting the message, or giving a public ping, and there's such a HUGE skill gap between new players and veterans that no new player stays. Even less so when matchmaking will give them ..more often than not a fight against veterans as fresh hatchlings because there's not any good matchmaking /because/ the game is SO LACKING in players.
Tldr, PAYwing failed to listen to vets and now they have a broken game with barely 300 players only because they have an event.
600+ hours, and founder buyer here. The game is fun but don't expect to feel rewarded or cherished for keeping it alive by playtime.
