@Abhishek, Your videos are really awsome. I am having 20+ years IT experiance and working in DevOps environments. I saw ur video in youtube and tried watching one video and its soo impressive today i am spending my time during nights to complete the way you explain is making subject soo simple. All the best, You are one more gift for all the DevOps learners
Thanks for making this video easily understand the concept of OSI Model.......waiting for new videos of networking fundamentals....Thank you so much sir

Hi Abhishek first off I want to thank you immensely for this explanation. You broke it down to the lowest. For the assignment on IP address representing 172.32.16.1 in octet is 10101100 : 00100000 : 00010000 : 00000001 For the subnet assignment finding the number of IP addresses that will be generated from 172.168.3.0/30 = 4 IP addresses 10.0.0.0/8 = 16,777,216 addresses Thank
Thanks for explaining about OSI models Abhishek, could you please make a video on dns and nameservers with clear information(along with diagrams, I hope this explanation helps everyone). Thanks in advance
explanation and content vere level bro...very thanks for helping in DevOps journey... i have small request bro.. please do ci/cd for 10-tier micro service....with argocd... and give some explanation about work flow and architecture.. i am requesting you bro..
Thanks bro . 10 tier does not exist bro .. there is only 3 tier .. 10 micro services does not mean 10 tier. 1000 micro services is not 1000 tier. 3 tier means front end, backend and db. Hope u understand.
@nikhilvarma8790 Tier 10 doesn't exists. Wherever you find such kind of information, it's a humble request, always ask for the source and do not blindly follow every influencer. Application and Architecture are two different things. That 10 tier application that you're talking about is a 3-tier application, it's just 10 microservices. It's wrong and misleading.
Layer 1 to 7. Dns resolution and tcp handshake happens even before request is sent from browser to server. Dns , think of it as simple database that has mapping of hostname to ip address and vice versa. In router . Every ISP maintains a DNS. After DNS resolution, tcp handshake takes place , sync, sync-ack and ack. It's called 3 way handshake. After tcp handshake, data initiation starts and osi models xomes into picture. Layer7, application stage. Http or ftp based request. Layer6 - presentation layer, responsible for data encryption and formatting L5 - session layer, session is created btw you and server so you don't have to authenticate again and again. Session is basically taken care by cookies and cache, you can clear in browser for new session. L5-L7 is taken care by your browser itself. L4- transport layer, in this layer segmentation of data takes place, along with segmentation protocol is also identified such as TCP/UDP. L3 - network layer, which router or hops takes place to route data to destination. In this layer source and destination ip is defined, we call this data as packets. So that routers can understand. L2 - data link layer . Data is converted from packets to frames for switches to understand. Along with ip, mac address is also added. L1, at the end of day all devices are connected to optical cable. Data is transmitted as electrical signals in these optical cables, data is transmitted very fast in optical cable।
Very nice explanation. Thankyou for making it free rather than focusing on money. Have you considered making complex projects and explaining it in the way? Like how a project is started and completed in a professional way.
Bro is it possible for you to make detailed video of DNS and all related concepts which cotains everything.. for the interview point of view? Becoze they ask DNS everywhere in detail for no reason. Thanks
Thanks @abhishek its really simple and understandable, is there any notes you have created in github i have check in the link but can't find out could u pls help to get the notes on this networking videos

Also with this limited exposure to cloud and devops will it be ok if I try studing for these certifications? Will it get me some practical knowledge or it is better to focus on what I am learning right now? I am really sorry for such a long question but will be very thankful if you could answer this. Thanks for guiding me always.

I started as a production support engineer and continued for almost 3 years. I was taken as a DevSecOps engineer in my current organization and later as DevOps in a different project. You can make it more elaborative tbh. This is very short and not very informative like for eg about why mac address is added
In tcp-ip model L7-L6-L5 models are combined. So tcp-ip model is also based on osi model.
Very well explained
