I hope there will be a Nord Lead 5. Updated engine with Linear-FM. Fatar TP/9s with aftertouch. Separate Delay and reverb sections. I love the Nord Lead form factor!
Ladder 'M' and 'TB' filters? I guess that's how you avoid copyright infringement suits from Moog and Roland, yet make it obvious what they're modeled after. xD
4:08 ♥ This song is so good. Really good. Beautiful fantastic. It's the best song I've ever heard. Please produce the song until the end 대머리 브로 이노래 끝까지 만들어서 음원으로 내주세요 진짜 존나좋아아ㅏ
This is all well and good but I genuinely feel that the user experience is a huge step backwards from the Lead 3. It is immeasurably nice to have the LED rotary knobs and named programs/performances. Giving that up seems like a big compromise. I guess the only disappointment with the Lead 3 is that it isn't getting any more software updates so the few bugs that exist are there to stay. (I own a Lead 3 and Stage 2.)
please nord, it ain't techno, the tb, it's acid house. You know you're talking to souls taken over by the synths, don't you simplify things enough for grandmas.
just bought the nord lead 4 I'm sorry the lead 4 dosent have anything on Omnisphere!!! don't get me wrong the nord 4 is bad ass, but for $2000.00 I can get the same or even better sounds from Omnisphere! which I only own paid $500.00 for it, this nord is going back to the store!!! Reply ·
Clavias decision to keep Wave and Lead series as separate product lines (for vain) makes me frustrated. I would have bought my first Nord synth, if this one would have had samples as well. It's not fun to carry a couple of synths around merely for memory chip, not to mention how expensive that memory chip will become for the customer because you have to buy a complete synth for it. Please make Nord Modular 3 and put some sample memory in it, and charge a little bit of extra if you have to. I would love Nord sound, but I can only carry so many synths.
Still the best way to play on stage is to have two synths (at least), one with samples (such as Nord Electro for instance) and on virtual analog synth (such as any Nord Lead or Wave). This way gives you freedom and ultimate sound collection. But if you still want one high-end and ultimate synth - Nord Stage is the best. There's sample memory (pianos etc.), organ section and synth (true synth) section. Three in one physical instrument. With fantastic effects and possibilities. Though now Roland just released good synth similar to that. FA-08 (if i'm not mistaken). There's also separate sample section and synth section. But there's no organ section (no bars) and synth section sucks before nord's synth section. And Roland is not as comfortable and simple as Nord in controlling (you still have to go to menu>submenu.subsubmenu........>menu to control anything) :). Nord is still the first who combined true synth section with sample section (synth sounds is really virtual analog, not sampled synth sounds) in one good and comfortable instument, so Stage2 is worth it's price.
I don't know... does this have anything on the likes of U-He Zebra/Diva/Hive regarding the sound quality? The synth doesn't sound that well with a high LP filter cutoff.
Are the nord lead 4 and nord lead A1 just the same synthesizer with some on board knob and modulation differences...? I am looking forward to get one nord lead can you tell me which one should I go for out of the two, Any idea which one is better in terms of trance music production...
please make something more affordable and compact, this thing is way too expensive and it doesn't even have aftertouch!! At this price point, I would rather buy something from DSI.
The Nord Lead 4 is a fucking joke for $2300.The Nord Lead 2X is the same synth, but minus the effects, but was only $1,000 when it was first released. The special edition re-issue of the 2X had a reverse color color scheme and Clavia only made 300 of them and jacked up the price to $1500. Now...Clavia's level of greed is astronomically high and they will NEVER get my business. There is far too much competition out there for them to be so diabolically greedy...but then again, people in Europe can afford the price tag.
hi there, can someone help me out? today i have received my brand new Nord Lead 4 Rack version! There is no sound coming out the synth! how do i get out the USB Mode? i don't wanna use USB i have Midi only! my external sequencer is hooked up to the nord, but i have no clue how to set the midi settings and to be honest i don't understand the manual to be fair! please help me out, what do i need to press on the Nord? Thank you
this keyboard contradicts everything the music industry says about professional keyboards. They always say everything has to be analog and tubes and all that but this keyboard is some kind of crazy modern virtual analog synthesis dsp modeling. How can a company like Clavia defy the modern age and still there is no one else making this high quality of non pure analog gear. Crazy swedes.
So why exactly would one buy this over the Nord Lead 3? Just on first glance I am leaning much more towards the lead 3 for the sole fact that it has those awesome and handy LED knobs.
how do i sync the internal temp with my daw's tempo? i figured out how to send midi data to my synth, but it is still not keeping tempo with my daw tempo.
You guys need to go track down Jexus and get him to give your synth a proper demo. This demo right here makes me want to go buy an Alesis Ion for a quarter of the price. Jexus can turn these things alive, his 2X patches are miles beyond anything here.
I stumbled upon this on reverb. I took a quick glance at it and for some reason thought it had a $450 price tag. I've been sitting here thinking I can find a much better sounding synth for this much money. I go back to reverb and see that the price is actually $2,450...
@Murada well, it surely doesn't sound that unique through youtube and my phone speakers. It's kind of like, why spend that much when you can buy a bunch of cheap synths that have their own strengths and idiosyncrasies to explore and love?
@Murada perhaps it's just not my genre. I am not really enjoying the riffs this guy is playing so I'm just tuned out to what may or may not be special about this synth
+Andrea Pollastri Seems aged to your ear? That's the whole purpose. They are supposed to sound like classical 1970s synths! Such as the mini moog, original Oberheim, Prophet 5. etc.
I hope there will be a Nord Lead 5. Updated engine with Linear-FM. Fatar TP/9s with aftertouch. Separate Delay and reverb sections. I love the Nord Lead form factor!
Old Nord Wave was kinda of the lost NL5 for me. Same form factor. LCD screen! Lovely keyboard! The only drawback is that it's just 2 parts!
303 Basslines never get old, my SuperNova 2 does it well * I expect my Pulse 2 does as well but it`s new so haven`t done that yet
Bring me Nordlead 5...3 Osc... with 1000 Sounds...and NL 3 design
I'm gonna need to see a facial reconstruction surgeon for the stank face that I got after 6:55.
Daang this guy was making some awesome music on the spot
Needs aftertouch and numeric keypad or buttons for fast multiple program change to make it a pro live synth.
Totally AMAZING!
I love this guy and the Nords ... :-P
All Pro Synths should have an Audio in ... but i guess i need to teach some people about feedback loops
omfg someone talk to me about that beautiful tone at 8:53. what is the mod wheel controlling? such a weird distorted decay. i need that.
Great synth, I love the feel of the mod wheel, feels like something to sharpen knives with.
Are Italians just good with synthesizers? I always liked the Rom Di Prisco songs on the Need For Speed Highstakes soundtrack
My man Federico at work...yeah! :-)
Best synth i bought in years. Sound quality is superb and very direct.
Dang that TB filter is spot on! *discounting true analogue*
Ladder 'M' and 'TB' filters? I guess that's how you avoid copyright infringement suits from Moog and Roland, yet make it obvious what they're modeled after. xD

JESUS CHRIST Loves y'all
I like it.

He looks like tool's lead singer.
He sure looks like a tool
Does the Nord Lead 4 have an plugin style interface available for use with DAW's?
Can someone tell me which preset the pad is at 4:55?. Holy smoke!, that is even mellower than a JX10!!!!!!!!
A04. It's visible on the display. :)

VST's last as long as hardware synths??
+John F30 they don't break but they are tethered to an OS, and that makes them less reliable than most hardware.
Just kidding I love it!
4:10 Moderat sound

maynard? is that you??
Right 😂😂
:D
Grande Stile Federico :)
So the morph thing is like on Minimonsta? I have always wanted this keyswitching feature in a hardware synth.
lol @ "classic synth sounds" and "top techno dance tracks" to reference their moog and 303 emulation filters so as not to get sued. rofl.
I don't know... does this have anything on the likes of U-He Zebra/Diva/Hive regarding the sound quality? The synth doesn't sound that well with a high LP filter cutoff.
This will last longer than any VST.
James Reeno
Actually it really wont :)
Great presentation and those filters sound very nice. Not a fan of their modwheel however.

Swee Lee has a Clavia Nord Lead 4 but it costs $19999 SGD bruh!!!!
some of these comments are savage af
nice Synthesizer
where are the leds around the knobs - seriously? Hard pass for me
I can use a Nord Lead 4 by making sounds of Wubbox :)
It’s a real shame they ditched the LED encoders from the Nord lead 3
Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's perfect for trance music *drools*
hi there, can someone help me out?

4:08 OMG
the coffin dancers
Terrific player here. fwiw
What's that lump of wood near the bender wheel for?
Thats actually the pitch bend.
It's actually the bender. The wheel is for modulation.
The groove at 4:50 made me ordered a lead 4
Last part was pretty cool :)
Man that's crazy. Just because it's a 4 voice you need 4 parts to match? I need an 8 voice????

paul van dyk uses nord.
If you. have Nord , You become Lord.
So why exactly would one buy this over the Nord Lead 3? Just on first glance I am leaning much more towards the lead 3 for the sole fact that it has those awesome and handy LED knobs.
That song from 3.32 to 3.58 is incredible. Definitely something I’d add to my playlist if released.
how would you compare the sound of the nord lead 4 to a virus C \ i know that these are two different synths
In my experience Virus C has more aliasing than Nord Lead 2 :(
Let alone a NLead 4
Great. All you need is that impulse morph button. Everything else is just for show.
i love this vid, it shows synths are not cool! so ill always have a money maker based on the publics interest..........
Wednesday and your mine cant wait
Sempre più "suono" e sempre meno "musica"...
so 7:00 is the best part right?
how do i sync the internal temp with my daw's tempo? i figured out how to send midi data to my synth, but it is still not keeping tempo with my daw tempo.
Hi there! I have a new NLa1 and I was wondering if I can get the same sound of the 6:55 on it... thanks for your help!
This video makes me never want it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
You folks should get one of these into the hands of keyboardist Matt Johnson.
what is that solo sound called at 05:05. i really wanna use it to my song but i have no idea about synthesizer...
QUE BOMBA!
Hallo Mr Nord,
please build an external effect processor for the older Nord models.
One hundred thousand thank you.
Is it possible to assign one of the buttons for TEMPO TAP for the ARP?
Yo federico
Anyone that plays such an awesome synth needs to have big hair.
Ronald Jenkees does use this one? :)
Enrico Pallazzo?

jexus called the 2x "the biggest disappointment of my synth-life so far"
syntezatory.net.pl/clavia_nord_lead_2x.htm
Jexus can make a photocopier sound good.
update! I end up keeping the nord lead 4 I miss Spoked about it!!! its an awesome keyboard!!!
+jazzman Jesus Christ
Federico Solazzo is the best!
non convince molto, alcune funzioni un pò macchinose...
Sounds like juno and prophet
it doesnt matter which nord lead it is, they will always be virtual and sound flat
o c Please listen to the Kyra and tell me how it sounds for a virtual.

Fuck yeah, no joking man!
Solo un suono per giocattoli
Nice!!
This Demo sucks. Too much Prog.
SCHILLER aka Christopher von Deylen 😂😂
Not only is this beautiful playing, but hes hot as well 😂😂
Is this Indy Neidell speaking?
am i a fool or this synth has only a modulation wheel and no PITCH mod ? lol
look close. It has a pitch stick
You must be new to the synthesizer market. NORD never has a pitch wheel - they use a stick for pitch bends.
i think nord 4 is not better than nord 3
Si ma fattela 'na risata!
my youth inside those microchips
This thing is expensive af
nice synth but abysmal glasses
No aftertouch... Performance keyboard, really???
I dislike aftertouch.
Sounds are great, but most of them seems "aged" to my ear.
There are lots of VST to recreate this kind of atmospheres.
+Andrea Pollastri
Seems aged to your ear? That's the whole purpose. They are supposed to sound like classical 1970s synths! Such as the mini moog, original Oberheim, Prophet 5. etc.
+Andrea Pollastri fart noise
Super, ;-)
Why should we listen to this man? He doesn't even have hair!
But he has 10 fingers that can play
Is it analog?
No. It's not.
Master of none.
ha l'aftertouch?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
