Love how Asmongold repeatedly says he know nothing about China, but knows NOT to call Taiwan a country because of Hearthstone.
@@b.d.a.8719 You are criticizing a government, the same way American people are criticizing a government. Do you see the parallels?
@@b.d.a.8719 You are in luck, I am Indian, have never been to the US, but I think that China should not threaten Taiwan and recognise it's right to rule itself. Now granted India and China don't exactly get along and we have had long history of border conflicts and war such as the Sino-Indian war, China has supported and funded insurgent groups within India and has also been engaging on the political front against India such as using its veto powers to block India's attempts for permanent membership in the UNSC. So maybe that has clouded my opinions towards the Chinese, but be that as it may, that is how I feel about the situation. Sure we can criticize the US for their wrongs but that does not mean that it should be used to deflect the wrongs that China has committed also.
@@b.d.a.8719 Nepal and Bhutan do feature in our disputes but those are fairly common knowledge, we have also had issues related to Arunachal Pradesh, Askai Chin over in Kashmir and of course also issues relating to granting the Dalai Lama and other Tibetans being granted asylum in India. Have in-laws who are Tibetan, and while they would love to see Tibet freed, the sad fact is China is too big, brash and powerful a nation to take head on, so for now they live in exile. Then there is the issue in the South China Seas and Indo-ASEAN relations that may help to serve as a combined bulwark against China in that region.
Now you said " Regardless, unlike China, India is a very fractured government and when a state, Kerala, elects a communist party, the Indian central government comes down on them hard like a sack of bricks. Arresting and imprisoning more protestors than even the Chinese did in Hong Kong." Now I do know there have been arrests of CPI members but to say that it was just due them being communists I find highly doubtful, do you have a link to that statistic? I would like to see it for myself. Also the Communist party of India has been around for a long time and they have had taken leadership in many other states in India not just in Kerala, for example since I am from the North east of India I am going to mention Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee chief minister of West Bengal from 2000-2011 and Manik Sarkar who was the chief minster of Tripura from 1998-2018. Currently in Tamilnadu we have the Secular Progressive Alliance, which is an alliance that also includes the Communist Party of India(CPI) and Communist Party of India -Marxist(CPI-M) under the leadership of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin Now political rivalries and feuds are common in India so a lot of times when parties that are not aligned with the center come to power in a particular state, there will of course be tension and conflicts. Now granted the we do have a lot of different political groups in India and they do get fractured by infighting, but I do not agree with your statement that "So India goes against its own democratic rules and constitution if a China friendly government is elected anywhere in the country."
You said "I'm not pointing at you but honestly I'm tired of people only caring about democracy when it's politically convenient and forgetting it when it isn't." well the problem is the way you went about it, it falls into the whataboutism category, its not conducive to a healthy conversation and comes off as merely trying to deflect criticism by turning the topic around.
Also I just realized that you seem to have made the mistake of assuming that the op is American, these days yt and social media is quite well represented by people of many nationalities and I do hope people would automatically stop assuming that we are all white and American. I have had a few hilarious conversations where the person on the other side would say something along the line of " you are white, what would you know about racism?" and then when I enlighten them on my race nationality and tribal group they generally stop responding and usually delete their whole conversation thread.
@@b.d.a.8719 Ahhh there you go, you make some big assumptive mistakes again. Firstly yes it is true that Tibet was a medieval theocracy run by a priest king before Chinas invasion/seizure, and now has relatively advanced infrastructure and a decent gdp. But from that one cannot infer that Tibet would have remained a theocracy without Chinese intervention either, for example look at Bhutan, Sikkim or Nepal, these neighboring nations also, for various reasons, became more secular over time. Development would also have come more organically and having advanced infrastructure and a better gdp on paper does not mean that a country and its people are better off. Sure for those people that toe the Chinese party line in Tibet can live pretty comfortably but what about political and religious prisoners that are held without any chance of freedom? For a famous example I give you the abduction of Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, whom the Dalai Lama appointed as the 11th Panchen Lama, he was 6 when the Chinese abducted him and his entire family and installed Gyaincain Norbu as a proxy. Gedhun Choekyi Nyima and his family have basically disappeared and much speculation abounds as to his whereabouts and condition. We should also not forget the plight of those living in exile. For a guy so vocal about suppression of Communists in India you seem to be oblivious to the plight of Tibetans. Also comparing Latin American/ South American infrastructure and gdp doesn't say much, many South American countries are small and relatively poor and looking up the gdps of South American countries it looks like the gdp of Tibet is in the middle and not as you say "The GDP of tibet is higher than the majority of South America."
Yes India has gone after communism in its past and present, but as I mentioned earlier it has gone after other political parties just as equally. And yes you were overzealous, to the point that you seem to have made up some lies? or maybe you do have a study/report/statistic that shows that as you say "Arresting and imprisoning more protestors than even the Chinese did in Hong Kong." If you do have it please send me a link so I can check it out. If not then that would reflect badly on you. I must also say that nothing happens in a vacuum, for example while there was/is a level of suppression of the Communists in India, have you looked into why it occurs? While we can be critical of Indian heavy-handedness in many cases Communists have been arrested due to violence, crimes or terrorist attacks carried out by them. In the 60's there was a series of divisions and splits amongst the CPI(M)Communist Party of India (Marxist), many of these split factions began carrying out terrorist attacks mostly in the Chhattisgarh regions, what's known as the Red belt/corridor. I have had many friends and family in the Nagaland Police Indian Reserve Battalions serve in Chhattisgarh. Its a huge are, lawless in many places, with insurgents carrying out constant ambushes and planting IED's. One of my friends in the CRPF Cobra unit carried out many operations and during his last tour got caught in an IED blast, almost died, the doctor pulled out a huge stone lodged in his belly and took months of therapy and grafting to recover. I say have a look at the history of Naxalites in India. You will get a broader understanding of the situation.
Once again its whataboutism because we are talking about Taiwan here, we are not talking about Puerto Rico and Hawaii. Its not really relevant because it just maintains the status quo and excuses the wrongs committed by the Chinese on the grounds of "but what about them" or "they did it first". Its just a means of deflecting criticism. You ask " How is Puerto Rican and Hawaiian independence not relevant in this conversation? Is one society's independence less relevant than another?" and I would like to highlight your second question, Is one society's independence less relevant than another? what do you think? I suspect both of us agree that, one society's independence IS NOT less relevant than another. and so the independence of Taiwan should not predicated by the status of Puerto Rico or Hawaii or say even Tibet. Each case should be judged on its own merit.
Again you make an assumptive error, if you know the history of the English language then you will soon realize that automatically assuming that one is American due to speaking/writing good English, is a logical error. The better way to go about it would be to look at England and her historic colonies around the world where English is primarily or majorly used, and surmise that I am possibly from one of those nations but even then that is rife with problems since especially in this day and age of easy cross border travel its become very difficult to tell ones nationality from ones command of a specific language . For example here in India English is one of the official languages and hence we have a high number of people proficient in it.
Yes I am from Nagaland, and Christian too though that's an easier guess due to being a Christian majority state. We still do have a smattering of folks that still adhere to the older animist beliefs, especially if you go into the interior regions. Our relationship with China is interesting, in the early days of the Naga Insurgency, many Nagas travelled into China and were given aid, weapons and training and sent back, for China fostering instability in the region and keeping India occupied with various insurgencies was and is a viable strategy and for various North Eastern groups whether it was Chinese or Pakistani supplies it didnt matter as long as they got them. Though our insurgent factions style them as socialists,National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN), thankfully overall we haven't taken to communist/socialist ideology , generally I think due to our Tribal and clan based structures it is generally abhorrent to us. We did get a brush with it in the 80's and 90's, there was a time many intellectuals and learned men were rounded up and executed by the insurgents, similar in fashion to those that occurred in other places. My aunt recalls her father in laws tale, at that time he was a village school teacher, the insurgents came and rounded up the teachers and took them away, they were tortured and many were beheaded. When his time came he was led away up the mountains and made to wait on a spot with other prisoners, he could see they were leading them one by one to a spot where they were beheading them. Some bodies would thrash about at the moment of death like a headless chicken. That traumatized him, anyway while waiting his guard turned out to be a former student, he pleaded to be released, but the student said if he did that he would be killed instead. Finally after much talk the former student told him that while he wont untie his hands, he would do nothing if he were to make a run for it. So my aunts father in law made a dash down the steep mountain, he sustained many cuts, bruises and possibly some fractures but he ran, never looking back. Our people have had a difficult relationship with India, but I suspect we would have had a worse time with the Chinese.
@@b.d.a.8719 Your argument lost whatever credibility &moral high-ground it may have had as soon as you started talking wild about Tibet - and that’s saying something, since you already claimed the U.S./Puerto Rico relationship analogous to China/Taiwan… bro, gtfo of here with that shit, lmao 😂

John Boyega is in both posters he was just made much smaller and very easy to miss. It's like finding Waldo like Disney intended.
Lando blew up the Death Star though and he was a black actor. Darth Vader is voiced by a black actor. Jar jar Binks is a black actor. Funny how current Star Wars is trying to be more inclusive but the originals were much better at having other races represented. They only got one black guy in SW now.
John Boyega refuses to speak out against China, regardless if he has been discarded. Boyega was literally replaced in the Jo Malone advertisement for China, when the perfume brand hired a Chinese actor. Boyega badmouthed Jo Malone the company, but not one bad word about China, that wanted him replaced.

Watching Asmon follow up his thought about "How fucked up China is, they've got camps with Uyghurs in them" with "The worst thing about China is the pollution" non ironically was truly hysterical lmaooo
It's a thing about the long term and short term problems related to that country, of which one affects the rest of the world.
I personally care more about the humans than the planet. It breaks my heart when I read the recently leaked "Chinese police records on the human camps". To me, physically and mentally torturing people is far worst than dumping chemicals to the sea, because I hold more sympathy towards other humans than fishes. But technically humanitarian disasters can be forgotten in a few generations while pollution can last for millennia, plus extinct creatures aren't coming back from thin air. Pollution is also a global issue where concentration camps only affect those are living in it. Environmental pollution is objectively more impactful in the long term, and many of the damages will be irreversible. So he does have a point.
I think he was using it as a figure of speech/transition but also funny ngl
@You're Gonna Hate This I am totally fine and I think human will thrive without a 100% healthy planet. Also, I am not saying it is okay to pollute the planet. I am simply saying I hate humanitarian disasters more than environmental pollution. Your username does check out btw.
@@firewoodloki dumping those chemicals in the sea affects humans. We eat the fish and breathe the air, but they if you want to continue making the entire human race weaker and dumber than it already is then go ahead so we can get some more camps.

Actually, China is one of the "green" countries, if compared with the the US or Europe. They invest much more money per person in green energy than most western countries. And this despite the fac that China is not as rich as the west.
Its just that media prefers to not use the 'per person' statistics.
It doesn't necessarily has to do with the fact, that china is hated. The reason is just that it would be bad publicity for western politicians, if the big enemy china is actually better than the us.

Given that China is one of the most densly populated countries in the world, it would be surprising if they didn't had such problems. As far as I'm aware, they still have smog in many cities, but it got much better.
Another problem is, that China developed very fast. We shouldn't forget that a few decades ago, they were still on the same level we were a hundred years ago. This results in many problems, like having out of date cars that produce high emissions (mostly sold by the west)

It's not because she's black, despite the fact that some people are only attacking her for that, although it seems she's only addressing things from that perspective.
I find funny how many people criticize him but for the right ammount they would run to the closest elementary school to promote gambling to children in Mandarin
Lolno, not a big fan of taking money from a genocidal government like the CCP
I believe the Black Panther poster was released officially from their international pr department. Cuz the poster was used in Korea & Taiwan as well.
That rock clip of him speaking Chinese fucking broke me haha

Hi I'm from Taiwan. We have our own Army Law and Government,so Yes,Taiwan is a country.
Taiwan isn't just A country. It is the one true China. A free and independent nation. You know, I heard ancient China was the true start of democracy in which citizens would write complaints on wooden tablets(maybe it was paper, don't remember) and the ruler would make adjustments accordingly.
It's a shame that this very same ancient civilization was basically forced to leave their homeland by a communist virus to live on a small island. The party that was brave enough to make sacrifices and fight Japan were the ones punished. Stay strong and be safe.
Nice. I like Asus xd.
Shhh go away

Jon cena was hilarious in peacemaker but the apology video he made for the crime of calling Taiwan a country is so cringe.. no amount of money should be worth humiliating yourself and forsaking any dignity you had
Are you forgetting he was in China at the time? It was good he knows how they operate bein expelled from China was probably the least of his worries.
@@elcambiollego china aint killing an american celebrity for refusing to promote their propaganda.. it'd be a diplomatic nightmare and not worth the headache for them
Not because reva is black my man, that’s what the normies think. It’s because her acting is sub par and she’s not intimidating whatsoever, yet is trying so hard. Nobody minds a black female, they just want a cool one. And you can almost lay most of the blame on the producers and directors, but it’s still this character that sticks out
If her acting is bad (which I don’t particularly agree with) please tell me how angry whispering guy ranks, because *that* has been the standout bad acting role for me
@@DominicGreene72 pretty cringe, but his only role was a supporting character to reva. He wasn’t nearly as relevant
@@BaithNa Okay but 99% if the criticism is not this supposed racism. The media will have you think that as they’re owned by Disney
FYI Look at the picture again. Fin is in the Chineese Movie Poster (He is just significantly smaller and under Han.) Also No Chewy....?
Asmongold predicts the famous ones: Dennis Rodman
Also that spicy oil jar John Cena is holding up is actually really good
That timing of the pause right before Dennis Rodman/Kim Jong-Un was perfect… A little too perfect if you ask me. 🤨 Reeks of Pre-watch 😂
1:50 sometimes buying a lot of goodwill allows you to fly under the radar with your real plans.
It's too bad it would never work the other way around.Have a celebrity and/or media company pretend to support China's bullshit for a long time, only to turn around and criticize them once they become too ingrained into their system to just instantly kill off.

Once was dragged into EVE Goons chat to explain my racist comment: that I didn't want to play on a server based in mainland China. I was completely taken aback despite my love for Asians, married to one in fact, and presently live in Asia and have for 30+ years. In fact I stated that I would be fine with a Taiwan server and last I checked they're Chinese.
This is how far we have gone down the rabbit hole: when any criticism of China's authoritarian government is immediately pegged as 'racist.' It really was like dealing with a bunch of children completely manipulated by media. To be honest, I don't have much faith in the future of (Trigger Alert) mankind when criticizing an authoritarian government and boycotting is considered racism.
I will never stop saying mankind or mailman or anything of the sort.
MAN is short for HUMAN
HUEW MAN
I will not change my language because of mass hysteria or Twitter cancer.
The new Top Gun and Spider-Man didn't bow to China's censorship demands. It's possible we may be starting to see a shift where the Chinese market is not worth the hassle because they only continue to get more restrictive and the demand for some foreign films in China may be waning at the same time.
Well from what I think I heard they edited out the Taiwanese flag of Tom Cruises jacket in the trailer but put it back in in the movie. I think that’s what happened.
Funniest thing is Asmongold said he wantes to watch this one after the reaction of the most recent gum video.
Also, more China stuff asmon! So much content for you!!!
this video is a bit disingenuous, cena has been learning chinese way before the fast 6 promotion and he just likes chinese culture, his chinese is actually very good which would take a lot of decication and effort, and in his videos he's living pretty humbly and enjoying authentic local culture. I think its quite cute and great that he's promoting chinese culture genuinely, its a bit disingenuous to say he's just doing it for the money when he's clearly put in more effort than needed just for the money.
yeah this is all normal, like normie normal
Agree, the man is in a no right answer situation, either he states whats wrong in China and loose everything he accomplished there, or shut up and gets called a sell out. The memes are great tho so no complaint.
its funny they didnt censor the poster of " i am legend" this shit is quite recent i see
dennis rodman pops up
my man lmfao
Hello from Taiwan.
John Cena has already became one of the biggest memes in my country.
your..... _country????_
I think that these regular memes about China and Taiwan would really help Taiwan. Memes are really the best way of spreading info
what country?
-1000 social credit score. Execution date: tomorrow.
Ya know, Taiwan, next to West Taiwan.
i love how the us call every country government to have "propaganda" except them.
I think their just to naive. They don't think for themselves but will eat anything that's given to them so that they can get all up in arms about any random thing and not look at similar situations in differnt contexts that are way worse that they don't care about at all. They claim to be broad minded but narrow down most views that people have to things like oh they're just racist or they are just x or y and don't go beyond that. Even if say someone is actually slightly racist for instance though that term has lost most it's meaning now a days it doesn't mean that a racist person might not have good points that if looked into could create good discussion but we are to politically correct to be able to have any deep conversations about anything.
And people buy it, it's crazy.
@2:57 I don't know how I didn't see that one coming. HAHA
I wish asmongold knew he could pause videos during the Johnny depp trial. I wonder who finally taught him you can pause
The problem with Reva is that her character is poorly written, poorly acted, is focused on more than any other character, and is stupid yet 5head at the same time. Stupid because of all of the ways she screws up the missions by her targets escape, and smart because her plans are always the ones that work. She also somehow knew Obi-Wan was going to successfully infiltrate the water base and rescue Leia with absolutely no signs. The problem is not because she is black, nor because she is a woman. The problem is the writing. Lucasfilm has absolutely no idea how to write a strong female character despite their best efforts.
The majority of the criticism was of the writing and the character itself. A small portion of it was rascist attacks against the actress herself which is never okay. The small portion of bad faith criticism had been highlighted and the actual criticism has been ignored by those covering this.
Bad acting ? You obviously didn’t see Moses Ingram in Queen’s Gambit
@@campbelldare5717 People were saying “forced diversity” instead or criticizing the character
Imagine if this was back in the 40s or the Nazis were still around and John Cena went over to Germany and started speaking German and pushing Nazi propaganda. Now he doesn't have to say anything negative but if you have a guy saying how great the Nazis are, people are going to be a little bit upset if they were a fan.
And although the term Nazi gets thrown about way too often nowadays, it is appropriate in this situation. China has internment camps and a totalitarian government.. I think the comparison is valid.
I honestly did not know this about John Cena I don't really care about John Cena, but based on what I'm seeing in this video, John Cena is the definition of a sellout. He seems like a nice enough guy I'm sure he personally would never murder.. but when you start pushing State propaganda and you're doing it to make money that's the definition of a sellout. He's promoting a country that murders its own citizens
acting like actors don´t do the same for America which is a far worse country to live in then china unless your rich
Seriously? comparing China to Nazis while China probably suffered the most from the invasion of Nazis during WWII? No matter how you feel about China, this is a huge insult to China and the Chinese people.
@@prettydumplingsl4398 he´s just ignorant of the world he dosn´´t even realize the US is far worse in moral how they treat other people and how they start wars for oil and money killing millions of children and adults
Exactly. Everyone is ignoring that China is LITERALLY doing the same thing as the Nazis, putting a specific ethnic/religious group in concentration camps and genociding them whether culturally or directly.
The stories about organ harvesting are already horrifyingly similar to Mengele and other Holocaust horrors.
Simping for a government like that all so you can make some extra cash is no joke.
Well said. I wonder why you have 4 invisible replies though...
watching this one year later and I arrived at 8:00
anyone remember the family meme? yea I hadnt thought about it either until then.
Asmongold: "I was bout to say" right after he say.
uhh I'm Taiwanese and actually that black panther poster is the Taiwanese version, but I don't really think it's masked bcuz of his skin color.
And ppl in chat saying the Chinese name is just "panther" in Chinese which is just wrong, just use google translate before u trying to talk about a language u don't even speak lol
The West can never tell anything in Chinese apart and will just keep ranting as long as it's Chinese. I was watching a streamer with a Taiwanese audience and then an English speaker came in and said he likes Taiwan and hates China and that the streamer is great.
He doesn't know that the streamer is from China and the chat is mainly Taiwanese, it's even written in the channel description. The West cannot even fathom that Taiwan and China always watch each other's media and play each other's games, it's not like they hate each other so much they can't even exist together.
Is it really tho? I’ve never seen this version in Taiwan
@@maia8976 The Chinese on the masked version is Traditional Chinese ,which is mainly used by Taiwanese and Hongkonger, and the Simplified Chinese version is unmasked. And I think the reason why you've never seen the masked version is a lot of places uses English version of the poster to advertise as well.
