- Blocked dirty windscreen washer jets, these Volkswagen types are supposed to spray a nice flat fan pattern but they block up easily. Here's how to get them going again. This car is a Mk6 Golf but they are common to other VW's.
Or you might just want to give up and replace them, they're not expensive. The VW part number is 5M0955985C (unheated) or 5M0955986C (if you need the heated version, only difference is a little extra box which accepts the electrical plug).
Nicely described and clearly filmed.
Awesome, I do sometimes wonder if it''s worth using the store bought liquids or just normal water, because of the limescale issue.
Good instructional video, thanks for sharing! I've got to ask though, how expensive is washer fluid in your country?! I'm in Canada and a gallon of windshield washer fluid is about half as expensive as a gallon of distilled water! Not too mention it comes pre formulated with detergent and alcohol conveniently already in it! Or do you find that mixing your own fluid offers a substantial performance advantage over national brand automotive windshield washer fluid?
I just prefer concentrate as it's easier to store and I have distilled water for other reasons.
Just pop a T10 Torq bit in and adjust the angle.
Skoda pt number :6V0955485, 000096706
I know its a Skoda part number but this does fit for Volkswagen, can you please do a review on this as I want to put this in my golf
