  • Matthew 19:1-12: Creation, The Kingdom, and Marriage
Jesus is "tested" and asked a question in Matthew 19 about divorce. As is always the case, Jesus avoids the trap and teaches a deep lesson about the transcendent truths of marriage and sexuality.

Concerning a comment around 26 min. I may be mistaken through prejudice and haste, but I do not see remarriage mentioned in 1 Corinthians 7 in the context of a believer divorcing their unbelieving spouse. The only exception that I see for remarriage is if the spouse was involved in adultery.
I do notice most times Biblical context of divorce is brought up, the fact that divorce, and the exception of remarriage in the case of adultery, are both permitted because of the hardness of hearts is rarely brought up. Being permitted in those contexts, it should not be forbidden, but it is still because of the hardness of hearts. And of greater importance, I do not think I have ever heard it mentioned in the context of Divorce that in Malachi 2:16 God says "I hate divorce". In light of God's hatred of the act of divorce and the hardness of our hearts, it is permitted in certain contexts.
