@@theapexsurvivor9538 none of the above. the thing is that while not actually "extra-territorial" many corps already have the beginning of such status and had it back when SR was created which is where they probably got the idea. mining and oil/gas companies operations in 3rd world countries have their own security forces which are essentially army grade and are not really bound by the relevant country regulation for keeping such forces ( or can at least bribe their way out of any such regulations). "mercenary" companies like Blackwater or Wagner get away with killing citizens all the time. it might be under your radar as this happens far away from the west, but be sure that if a protest against a fracking company goes a bit too far and risks causing significant harm to an oil company operation they will hurt US citizens on US soil and get away with it stating property rights and so forth. Energy, mining, security and Arms corporations will be the first to get extraterritoriality as they already kinda have it...
also, as for "personal extra-territoriality" see Jeffrey Epstein latest news, i am betting that he is rich enough to get away with it, we'll see. and the current POTUS got elected while being on record to have molested women, so yea, money does brings you quite close to immunity from the law in our timeline as well...
