Once again Michael demonstrates what a truly gifted guitarist he is. Often when listening to him play, I just close my eyes, sit back, and immerse myself in his artistry. That guitar has amazing tonal qualities, and Michael made the most of all of them.
Interesting that you commented "Michael made most of them all." I usually tend towards thinking along the lines of great guitarists "finding" those tones, as if they're all in there somewhere just like when Michaelangelo believed that scultptors 'released what was already inside the stone.' That use of the looper and the solo starting at 2.28 is pretty damn perfect.
Yes Mocha! I have a 73 in mocha with a trem and white plastics with black pickguard. My favourite out of all my guitars. My dad has owned it from new and gifted it to me for my 40th birthday.
I was born in the 70s and I would love to have a guitar from that time and that strat, would do just fine because it sounds fantastic! Of course I know Michael Lemmo makes anything sound great but it is a cool guitar! Thank you Mr. Lemmo and Jen.!! take care
The large headstock with bullet truss rod is the perfect Strat headstock to me. I have a 1983 Squier MIJ and the necks on these were left over USA necks sent to Japan for finishing and used.
killer Demo Mike & Jen! I love that playing dude... I was born in 76 so that's a really neat guitar to me, I also love the color. Have a wonderful day guys an gals. :-)
Would we be able to get a full rig rundown of everything you used in this video? I have this guitar and the sounds were amazing with this chain - hopefully I can try to replicate (the sounds, not the playing!). Lemmo rocks!!
Nice demo, Lemmo! I bought a year old HT Strat in '76 i sometimes still miss. Going to the way back machine, i don't recall the mocha Strats then,,,,maybe later. Who knows ? I dig it just the same. Rock ON!!
Thanks, but i meant to say: to the regular line up. Like it should just be an option on their Player Series and the other regular series, AmPro etc. The Squiers and the Vinteras all have 21 fret boards too.... Ok, maybe i'm being picky here...
I for one love 70s strats ,,,, I think mocha is the worst color this one however because you can actually see the wood grain looks pretty . I love the fatter sound of 70s fenders . Maybe it's the w weight or at least the thicker body or maybe even the quality of the Ash and hotter pickups but ,70s strats are great lead guitars so I'm hoping the prices don't spike into the ridiculous like the 59s/60s guitars
What a bullshit Talking about 70s Strats Are crap…. Here it is ~ Vintage Tone at it’s best!💪 I have a 25th Anniversary Strat, Great Guitar! Listen to Edge“s 79 Strat, Fantastic Tone!

I wouldn’t watch this if lemmo didn’t play in it

Nice. Must be a fantastic look with the contrasting colors pf parts. Fender did that for only a short time.
wasn't the 73-model made of alder as opposed to the later ones being ash?
Those late seventies strats get overlooked. The big headstock and natural finish or walnut is timeless! Got an earthy vibe.
Lemmo rocks out on that bridge pickup!!! Kicks ass and makes that hardtail sing!!! Wish I could go there and meet them all in person!!!
Absolutely the worst and most boring guitar store ever
Lemmo is horrible
go...its in LA
William, When you go there and meet them just play it cool and don't come off like a weird fanboy type and everything will be golden.
Die Gitarre ist ein absoluter Traum, tolle Farbe und Hardtail Mega👍
Stellar! This guitar has a great late 70’s early eighties look. Thanks to Michael for showing us how great it can sound.
I was born in 76 and would love a guitar from that year.

Jen how are you not just firing when Lemmo cuts down on some of these tunes! Well done Lemmo! Well done!
Awesome as usual, great take on Personal Jesus ! Lemmo you rock!
The large headstock with bullet truss rod is the perfect Strat headstock to me. I have a 1983 Squier MIJ and the necks on these were left over USA necks sent to Japan for finishing and used.
⚓️ Thanks Jen Mike 😎
Lemmo is one of the most underrated guitarist on youtube
killer Demo Mike & Jen! I love that playing dude... I was born in 76 so that's a really neat guitar to me, I also love the color. Have a wonderful day guys an gals. :-)
Very cool jam, exotic middle eastern vibes. So nice to here that sweet strat sound
Johnny freakin' Cash. Absolutely fantastic.

I dig it just the same.
Rock ON!!
😉 There ya go!
I’ve got too know! Are those classic pick-ups!
Great guitar. That is the most 70s color.
Like buttah! SOLD
Just great!
I appreciate that Mike always reps home. Go Birds 🦅
beautiful........
I love stratocaster HSS has done it again
I can remember when people sneered at 1970's Fenders and Gibsons.
Cool!
Nice version of Personal Jesus!
Cool guitar but what's up with those scratches above the bridge at 1:11? Kind of curious what went on there.
my own personal jesus,nice....
Great vibrato
Lemmo is the best!
Let’s see what we get
Mocha chocolatta ya ya - Creole Lady Marmalade! 😁👍🎸
That looks alot like my American pro II with the pine body.
Original owner should had a bigger pick guard o shorter nails! Nice job Michael as usual, cheers!
Yeah, the nails growing out of wrists are a problem 🤣 More likely bracelet or chain.
👌
Killer ending Lemmo.... thanks Jen !!
So does he wake up in the morning and think "shit, I have to go sell guitars"?
i've said it before and i'll say it again: Fender! PLEASE!!!! Bring the hardtail option back to the Stratocaster line up!
The Squier series has hardtails 😒
You can get a hardtail vintera 70s strat
Thanks, but i meant to say: to the regular line up. Like it should just be an option on their Player Series and the other regular series, AmPro etc. The Squiers and the Vinteras all have 21 fret boards too.... Ok, maybe i'm being picky here...
Love my 74 Strat with flat poll loud pickups . Now bring on the fake BOTS
That second song got a bit of personal Jesus going on
What´s the name of the first song?
did you ever find out?
I will take it the person that had it before had some sort of bracelet on his right wrist. .
looks like an ash body, didn't the earlier ones use alder?
I’m pretty sure is original case…. Had a friend that bought a ‘77 Mocha Telecaster…. had that same case.
Go Lemmo!

Nice! #1 was solid AM gold and I guess the guitar is too. Great job 👏
Foxy opening for a Stratorday and a great job playing guitar as usual.
Such a player this guy is man 🔥
so versatile and tasteful, always a pleasure to watch
Lemmo proves that all the talking of bad qualitiy of 70fenders is crap as long you can play
Sounds like back To the 70 s...without delorean
Wow, how things change. She no longer refers to brown guitars as "Poopy Brown". LOL
What a bullshit Talking about 70s Strats Are crap….
Here it is ~ Vintage Tone at it’s best!💪
I have a 25th Anniversary Strat, Great Guitar!
Listen to Edge“s 79 Strat, Fantastic Tone!
What ridiculous unrealistic price does this one have? 15k? 😂 Absurd
Love that jacket Michael!!!
