I find it the worst song on the album. It's good, just not great. The lyrics are surprisingly complex and easy to pick up, but aside from that, the only thing that works for me is the chorus. Taking everything slow would've been better if it did something like sleep or cancer, but the slow reflection of "poor little me, I spent my life doing stupid shit, but I should get more time to make it better" isn't something I'm a fan of. Also, it kind of ruined the end of The Black Parade. If it was swapped with teenagers, it would've worked much better because it is something easy to listen to after a more tame song like sleep (even though the lyrics are a bit psychotic) it would've worked much better, but teenagers pulled it back to the exciting fast pace and high energy, which is not so good for disenchanted to follow up on.

DEAR ANYONE WHO THINKS MCR IS THE MOST EMO BAND IN THE FUCKING WORLD It's funny, because when #4 rolls around, they say that they picked "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" and that's respectable. But they keep saying that that song is so "emo" and that that song made My Chemical Romance the "Emo Punk Pioneers". I think that it's funny, because ALL of the band members HATE when their music is categorized as "Emo". The only reason why people think that they are "Emo" is because of their physical style, and all of the 12 year old girls in 2005 and 2006 had be such dumb asses and label everything. The genre of My Chemical Romance is Punk Rock, and Post Hardcore in some of their earlier songs. There are many bands with the same genres that don't get stereotyped, but many that do. People misunderstand this band because they hear guitars and automatically just think that it's "Emo", and they listen to the lyrics, and just think that it's for depressed teenagers, and that may be most of the fan base, but I however am not a depressed teenager, and My Chemical Romance is my favorite band, because of the storytelling in their lyrics, and the guitar riffs, and they shared so much about each other. A lot of adults like this band as well. I just hate how people this that if you listen to this band, you are automatically a cutting, dark clothing wearing, depressed teenager who cries for attention. Not all of the MCR fans are like that.

I find it the worst song on the album. It's good, just not great. The lyrics are surprisingly complex and easy to pick up, but aside from that, the only thing that works for me is the chorus. Taking everything slow would've been better if it did something like sleep or cancer, but the slow reflection of "poor little me, I spent my life doing stupid shit, but I should get more time to make it better" isn't something I'm a fan of. Also, it kind of ruined the end of The Black Parade. If it was swapped with teenagers, it would've worked much better because it is something easy to listen to after a more tame song like sleep (even though the lyrics are a bit psychotic) it would've worked much better, but teenagers pulled it back to the exciting fast pace and high energy, which is not so good for disenchanted to follow up on.

It's funny, because when #4 rolls around, they say that they picked "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" and that's respectable. But they keep saying that that song is so "emo" and that that song made My Chemical Romance the "Emo Punk Pioneers". I think that it's funny, because ALL of the band members HATE when their music is categorized as "Emo". The only reason why people think that they are "Emo" is because of their physical style, and all of the 12 year old girls in 2005 and 2006 had be such dumb asses and label everything. The genre of My Chemical Romance is Punk Rock, and Post Hardcore in some of their earlier songs. There are many bands with the same genres that don't get stereotyped, but many that do. People misunderstand this band because they hear guitars and automatically just think that it's "Emo", and they listen to the lyrics, and just think that it's for depressed teenagers, and that may be most of the fan base, but I however am not a depressed teenager, and My Chemical Romance is my favorite band, because of the storytelling in their lyrics, and the guitar riffs, and they shared so much about each other. A lot of adults like this band as well. I just hate how people this that if you listen to this band, you are automatically a cutting, dark clothing wearing, depressed teenager who cries for attention. Not all of the MCR fans are like that.
