Original Bungie era Halo live action trailers are all perfect. ODST's being a young man at his father's military funeral, signing up to the ODST program, being deployed and fighting a brute, then cutting to him old and grizzled. Halo 3 having the Believe motiv and having a commerical of a retired UNSC marine recollect in a museum over a brute spiker. Saying "I don't like it", showing he has PTSD-like depression towards seeing enemy weapons. Then there's Halo: Landfall where it's follows marines and ODSTs locking on to Chief's fall trajectory just before the events of Halo 3 (Sierra 117). Halo had the market locked down for live action ads. Everyone was foaming at the mouth for a live action series for over a decade. Now we have trash like Paramount's "Silver timeline". The golden era has been over for years. I just want a glimmer that metal to come back.
@@SkyNinja759 I'm sorry, but even if they ignored the games the writers/showrunners had 3 books they could've pulled from for season 1 & 2: Contact Harvest, Cole Protocol, and Fall of Reach. I had a bad feeling about the show the moment S1E1 ended and we didn't get to see the kidnapping and flash cloning of children, which is a major story aspect and part of every Spartan's life.

While on Reach, he was trained by the AI Déjà and Chief Petty Officer Mendez along with the rest of the Spartan children.

I always liked the morbid detail that he runs away from the bomb, but we know he died anyway. Jorge faced his sacrifice head on like a badass, but Thom tried to run, tried to make it. It felt very human.
This is what makes Kats death all the harder especially if you replay and see that Carter is the one holding her and if you look at him in that scene he looks at her body looks down you see his shoulders kinda slump as if he sighs and then he looks back up and starts to walk He basically just watched the last of his OG team die and is now holding her It was at that moment I think he knew he wasn’t just going to die FOR Reach but ON Reach
Rosenda is an absolute beast in the lore, a certifide G of a spartan. I also like to think that Cat is hostile to us at first not just because we're replacing Thom but because we have the same helmet as well.
You know that really puts Kat in a whole new perspective as someone who played Reach back on release. I've never really dug into the background of Noble Team so it makes so much more sense for why she was the way she was. I always thought she was just being a hard ass, not that there was actually some kind of trauma behind it.
Another thing is that Noble's constant silence would be like Thom's ghost, staring right back at her, constantly reminding her of her own 'failure' and survivors guilt, and perhaps she never quite shook it, and it weighed on her the entire campaign...

They weren't there when Alpha and Beta company were slaughtered, but you have to imagine they found out somehow, perhaps through technical Spartans such as Kat. So that weighs on them. Then you just have a handful of survivors you trained with rotating in and out of small, elite units, and they start dying as well. Spartans hold themselves apart from humanity in some ways, so losing them hurts even more than losing comrades in arms does normally, which is saying a lot.

During the mission she seems to start warming up to Six, giving you compliments and speaking with a more friendly tone. Just when it seems like she was letting go of her grudge against you, she's killed by the Field Marshall.
Fun fact Jorge is the only Spartan 2 on the team and because of that had obviously seen more combat and had more experience than others It’s also why whenever you play Reach he constantly gives Big Brother Vibes Also Jun and Six were both part of an elite ONI black group known as the Head Hunters (Elite blacklist Assassins used against high value targets sometimes in a squad or solo 6 was so good solo that’s why he was ‘a lone wolf’) So there’s a chance that Jun recognized 6 by the Armor or his voice Or would have if he saw his face
Headhunters existed before Reach. Most of them used upgraded SPI, and not Mjolnir. It just so happens SPI's helmet is very similar to EVA, the helmet Emile uses. @@justincooper5189
A detail about Thom I like, in the trailer when he throws the bomb he tries to run away. Jorge faced his sacrifice head on like a spartan, but Thom ran away, tried to get away. Its a very human desperation I can appreciate. And the look in Kats eyes tells me she probably feels guilty about it.
They had two very different intentions about it with roughly the same ending which shows both sides of the morale of this war. Thom was on an unintentional suicide mission because of Kats unintentional failure to deliver the payload on time to which he still aimed to get out of and didn't because of the time lost which haunts her. Jorge knew by the time the system was fried and accepted his responsibility and gave 6 the nod both knowing what had to be done. Jorge and Thom both accepted that the job still had to be done and in the end their fate aswell in such short times. One with hope and one with acceptance with almost the exact same end.
Fun fact Rosenda was suppose to return to noble team going from being Noble 4 to being Noble 6 until Six ended up replacing her (for some unknown reason) she is still alive to date
One thing I never understood about “Deliver Hope” was how Kat was planning on getting into the carrier without a jet pack. If Thom had one, Kat definitely should’ve gotten one too. Also I’m just thinking this now, was Kat expecting to sacrifice herself with the nuke like Thom did? If not and there was a plan to live, why did Thom end up dying?
“There’s a grav lift that carries troops and supplies between the ship and the surface that’s our ticket in” -Sgt Johnson I always assumed her plan was to use the grav lift drop the bomb then use the lift to get back to the ground
Probably a bit of fudgery in the timing for cinematic effect and whatnot, but my assumption was that she was going to use the gravlift, and the delay of her getting hit meant there was no longer enough time to deploy the bomb and Evac safely. It's also possible that there was originally more to the plan that we don't see since it all went sideways.

Halo is a beautiful story of tragedy and the resilience to stand against impossible odds You see it and almost every halo Halo one with Master Chief being the only Spartan two with a covenant coming to Earth and reach with noble six fighting his last stand
It always seemed like Thom died needlessly because he sat there waiting (maybe in awe of the massive Covenant army) until there was not much time until the nuke went off. I think he could have made it if he had not wasted time.
I remember when I was a kid seeing the trailer first come out and thinking how badass it was! I originally thought it was noble 6 portrayed in the trailer delivering the payload. I had no idea until now. And it makes a lot of sense now. The trailer WAS the prelude in the lore to you playing the game! How badass!
I think Kat took to Noble Six more because of him wearing the same armor as Thom. At the beginning of the game, she's rather hostile, but late on, and especially right before her death, she seems very amicable with Six. It makes her death even more sad, as it seemed Six was helping her heal from Thom's death.
I knew that Tom was not the first Spartan that was replaced on Noble team, and to my knowledge Carter and Kat are the only ones that are Noble Team originals. Everyone else replacef someone.

thats crazy, I watched that hope trailer for the first time. It’s interesting cause he waited until the bomb was right about to go off, like he wanted to die, he could have through the bomb and probably made it out if he really wanted, but something tells me me he wanted to sacrifice himself, jus shows how tired he was and determined

That logic about Kat and Carter being the ofs makes no sense because the creation of noble would have to be in 2540s since Kat is a beta company Spartan and Carter is a Alpha company Spartan which has like 7 years difference in when they were trained so I’m not sure how true that is
Surprising misconception, all Spartans were considered expendable to a degree. Spartan II's were sent on just as many high-risk missions but not frontline combat due to their armor not faring well, and there not being enough of them. Spartan III's were deployed to frontlines to intercept supply lines and troop movement. There were more 3's available to do the job required, not because they were valued less. They just specialized in frontline combat, where as 2's did not. As a result, they had more casualties
Imagine thom dying and noble team seeing a mass murderer in mark V and blue flames and every single piece of equipment in the unsc and the haunted helmet... It scares me that I fit the description.
I really do hate the idea that cheif in his free time is a just some random guy who goes to bars and does whatever. Getting caught off gaurd when it is known reach is being attacked is sooo stupid. Cheif would already be at some base or ship probably sleeping in his armor, or on some mission, considering how he is the UNSC's most valuable asset. This show makes no sense. Cheif lived from mission to mission.
Reach was so good and they are so bad ass sadly for on of em I won't say who but she kinda got the worst one litteraly one shot to the back of the head by a jackle For the frist time ever played was so caught off guard by that...sadly tho George was my guy and he sacrificed himself for the greater good...still can see that scean where he picks you up and throws you off the side of the ship basically saying this is Goodbye 😢
Not a Jackle. The Elite Field Marshall that escapes in the first mission that then follows and hunts Noble throughout the campaign (he is also the one that kills Emile).
I read the wiki relatively recently as I started my campaign of Reach on legendary and wanted to get into the lore more and it made no mention of his name, I'm 99% sure your making this shit up
Noble 6’s actual name and gender are ambiguous; but as someone who really enjoys coming up with character names I’ve always referred to them as either “Shawn,” or “Trina.”
Now, don't get me wrong. I love Reach and I love Noble team. But I can't be the only one, that gets irked by the fact, that (except Jorge) they are all Spartan III's. When in Ghosts of Onyx, where Spartan III's originate from as most of you should know by now. It blatantly states that All of Alpha and Beta companies, except Lucy and Tom. So technically speaking anyone with A-000 or B-000 should not be possible, unless its Lucy or Tom. I think I'd be more cool with it if Nobke team were like C-000 or D-000, tho I dont even know if the Spartan III program got to a Delta batch. But idk, that's my only complaint/nitpick. Well Noble 6 glazers are another complaint but that's a different story.
If gauss cannons are so common to be planted on warthogs then why don't they use them as rifles, they would absolutely destroy everything Any lore on why they don't?
What do I feel like? The guys at bungee were just too lazy to think of a story for noble 6, and so that's why when you know we have noble sex, the way that we you know, know him or her? Noble 6 doesn't have a story because they are supposed to be *us* . Six's story is *our* , the players, story. We are supposed to fill in the void that is Six with whatever *we* want to. Complaining about Six for being a blank slate is like complaining about the Rookie being one!
‘Hope’ is over of the best live action Halo trailers in my opinion - though I never knew Thom was the one to finish the mission after Kat fell.
I thought that was over Reach and we were watching Noble Six throw the payload.

Headhunters came AFTER reach. They all had repops of emiles helmet. Oni saw that design instilled fear into opponents, so they capitalized on that.

No, even with those 3 extra seconds he was doomed. Who ever delivered that bomb was screwed due to how much time was lost by Kat going down.

It’s interesting cause he waited until the bomb was right about to go off, like he wanted to die, he could have through the bomb and probably made it out if he really wanted, but something tells me me he wanted to sacrifice himself, jus shows how tired he was and determined

I wonder what would have happened had all the original members of Noble team been alive. One guy said everyone but Kat and Carter were replacements. So if it became a ten person team i wonder how much could have changed.
That logic about Kat and Carter being the ofs makes no sense because the creation of noble would have to be in 2540s since Kat is a beta company Spartan and Carter is a Alpha company Spartan which has like 7 years difference in when they were trained so I’m not sure how true that is

Surprising misconception, all Spartans were considered expendable to a degree. Spartan II's were sent on just as many high-risk missions but not frontline combat due to their armor not faring well, and there not being enough of them. Spartan III's were deployed to frontlines to intercept supply lines and troop movement. There were more 3's available to do the job required, not because they were valued less. They just specialized in frontline combat, where as 2's did not. As a result, they had more casualties

I really do hate the idea that cheif in his free time is a just some random guy who goes to bars and does whatever. Getting caught off gaurd when it is known reach is being attacked is sooo stupid. Cheif would already be at some base or ship probably sleeping in his armor, or on some mission, considering how he is the UNSC's most valuable asset. This show makes no sense. Cheif lived from mission to mission.

Not a Jackle. The Elite Field Marshall that escapes in the first mission that then follows and hunts Noble throughout the campaign (he is also the one that kills Emile).

I read the wiki relatively recently as I started my campaign of Reach on legendary and wanted to get into the lore more and it made no mention of his name, I'm 99% sure your making this shit up

Now, don't get me wrong. I love Reach and I love Noble team. But I can't be the only one, that gets irked by the fact, that (except Jorge) they are all Spartan III's. When in Ghosts of Onyx, where Spartan III's originate from as most of you should know by now. It blatantly states that All of Alpha and Beta companies, except Lucy and Tom. So technically speaking anyone with A-000 or B-000 should not be possible, unless its Lucy or Tom. I think I'd be more cool with it if Nobke team were like C-000 or D-000, tho I dont even know if the Spartan III program got to a Delta batch. But idk, that's my only complaint/nitpick. Well Noble 6 glazers are another complaint but that's a different story.

What do I feel like? The guys at bungee were just too lazy to think of a story for noble 6, and so that's why when you know we have noble sex, the way that we you know, know him or her? I mean, the character was also designed to be like us like we are mobile 6. But I just can't help but feel like some of the things that could have happened with noble. Sex didn't because the gas bungee were too lazy
Noble 6 doesn't have a story because they are supposed to be *us* . Six's story is *our* , the players, story. We are supposed to fill in the void that is Six with whatever *we* want to. Complaining about Six for being a blank slate is like complaining about the Rookie being one!
