I noticed there is a hole where it seems the cotter pin should go but you have it placed behind that black bracket. Where should it be placed? I went to go tighten my chain and my authorized dealer that sold me the sled had it placed in the hole instead of behind the black bracket (2014 summit x 850 NA) and it is throwing me off.
something i have never had to do , and there is a tool that ridez edge makes that makes it easy. I will see if I get one done in the future. cheers dave
put the brake on, if on the ground just use light pressure to try and turn it not using a lot as you will turn it if you do, putting the brake on will make it easier. cheers dave
Hand tighten... that always seems so subjective. As tight as I can get it by hand, till I just sense a bit of resistance, etc. Can you better describe and\or show that?
Yes it is for sure, but go until it feels a bit of resistance and check the movement, simple that way 1 full turn is very little movement so you don't need to keep turning it is your just getting at movement i show when ideal

my clutch moves easily even after i tighten the screw. its a new 900 ace scandic. is that something to be concerned about?
