I measure at the adjustments bolts and let the track hang 3/4". Suspension is tall snowcross suspension so it seemed super tight before slight adjustments.

You used the track tension tool upside down. It also has a ruler built into it.

Sure.... the tool upside down LOL and not just that The tool is made expressly with 2 orings one for the distance and one for weight so as not to have to use a tape to measure in addition LOL
This is a great specialist, he uses the 2 measurement tools at the same time. I wish to tell him use a laser too LOL .... ask for the help of a third hand to hold the laserHAHA

maybe you think that the company that manufactures the tension tool put a distance scale and a weight scale and 2 o-rings for nothing?? LOL

Comment from a mechanic with 45 years of experience graduated from BRP, Yamaha, Polaris etc. A correction is necessary here to use the tool in the TRUE AND ONLY WAY!!!... With the oring indicate the distance you must put the oring indicating the distance to the correct number (example 25mm) and the small oring which will indicate the weight, you must set it to zero. Now place the tensiometer in the right place on the track . Now, press on the spring rod so that the distance oring arrives at the right place which is just under the slide). Remove the tool and you read the number indicated on the weight oring (the pressure you had to apply to reach the right distance. So you only have one oring to watch when you press the tool (the distance one) and not look at the 2 orings at the same time. You're making a video and you don't know how to use the tension tool LOL. The worst is that you use a measuring tape which is of no use and complicates things. Please correct your video because you come across as incompetent.
If you have any questions, even very specific ones, I will be happy to help you find out. You will have the most accurate information.
