My all time favorite singer casablancas, I listen to his music when im sad or happy mad or lonely I just love his music the strokes turned out to be my favorite band of all time . you guys got a fan for life :)
I see much people talking about Julian, but it's not just him, I think that Exhibition and Julian made a great work together, this song have the style of both (but it predominate exhibition's style). this song definitively have to be more known
I think exhibition deserves more respect. After listening to his entire album, it's obvious he wrote 90% of this song. Julian seems to only contributed to the singing.
It's so dope that Julian samples stuff from across different projects of his, and uses it on different tracks. His main verse here starting with "Tell me it's not me, What I cannot see, I don't have any say, All going that way, Tell me what it's for, This I can't ignore, Tell me that it's all, What you're working for.." reeeaaally sounds like he sampled that on "At the Door" from the 2020 album. You also of course have the ending of The Voidz' "Eternal Tao 2.0" and the ending of the Strokes' "The Adults are Talking" pretty rad. Steal from yourself!
whoa really good catch! i’ve noticed that julian tends to do this. have you heard “russian coney island” (demo song) by the voidz? if you look it up here they did a secret show and played it and the melody sounds like “ode to the mets” if it was sped up just a bit
He also samples this song on a live performance of The Adults are Talking on SNL. At the end of the song he says ‘I see much of the same, I see much of the same’ in the same tone as this song.
This is hands down one of the greatest song discoveries ive found in the last 5 years. Even if the strokes front man wasn't on this track it would still be incredible. I can hear influences from REM, UltraVox, a Little Suzi and the Banshees and of course Bowie. Im so proud to know that in a little corner of India new wave music lives on. Thank you from Los Angeles!
Julian Is daddy OMG. Since I was 9 years old I fell in love with his voice, 10 years later and I am still completely in love with his work and him as a person! I have never come across something that Jules has worked on and not like it!
Llegué aquí el mismo día que la lanzaron y me volví adicta a ella. Finalmente tenía que comentar, es hermosa. Jules y su toque mágico para todo lo musical. I love it💕💕
i love this ! thank you. you don't hear things like this no more.. this is the type of songs that you wish never ends.. 4:10 minutes is way too short :(
True but I think we should also take interest into why Julian finds specific musician interesting. I always find myself admiring what Julian might have admired .
think of any song you like and take out a significant part of it. you should feel justified in not liking that warped version. just because this song only features julian doesn't take away his addition to the song. he's just as much a part of it as the guitar.
Everything Julian touches becomes a masterpiece ✨
Dalia Bartolec 👍 yes
The song itself is special.
I was going to comment something similar, you did it a year before lol
I remember commented this on another video before seeing this lol
Even boombox XD
Julian makes everything better
This was exactly what I thought, listening to this song:

@@joeallen9066 2019 es mucho peor todavía carnal
At this point it's just mind-boggling how Julian can transform any song
He's on the lonely island parody song boombox and he literally turns it into a banger
My all time favorite singer casablancas, I listen to his music when im sad or happy mad or lonely I just love his music the strokes turned out to be my favorite band of all time . you guys got a fan for life :)

Couldn’t have said it better:) hope your still a fan
it must feel real cool to have Julian sing his lyrics in this at SNL
Which song ?
Adults are Talking
I see much of the sameeee
I can't believe how much I love Julian's voice

Yes! All of this! I love him so much too!

It's interesting to me that despite exhibition composing a majority of the song, Julian is more discussed.
According to Spotify Wrapped, this was my favourite song in 2020
Just putting it out there
I love the song, specially Julian's parts
This is hands down one of the greatest song discoveries ive found in the last 5 years. Even if the strokes front man wasn't on this track it would still be incredible. 🎼This video is the story of my life🌹
Llegué aquí el mismo día que la lanzaron y me volví adicta a ella.
Finalmente tenía que comentar, es hermosa. Jules y su toque mágico para todo lo musical. I love it💕💕

Not me being a fan for 3 years and barely discovering this
This may sound really sad, but it's the truth... I wouldn't be into this song if it wasn't for Jules' part...
Not sad. We should be really happy he sang on it like I am :)
I think must of us came here for julian, we don't need to be surprised, even we hear JC+thevoidz because of julian right, I think it's normal
True but I think we should also take interest into why Julian finds specific musician interesting. I always find myself admiring what Julian might have admired .
nathali castro yes, Julian's taste in music is sooo good. Worth checking out the things he's into.

Julian I’m so in love with you :))))
Who is this band? They're really great but I can barely find any info about them online! Very cool! :)
Exhibition. They have a handful of tunes on iTunes
