i'd say 600 fps is much more than smooth, if you were to cap the fps to 60 or even 144 then the game would feel much better and the cpu and gpu wouldnt even be 100%
@@JimmyKrochmalska-f7p surprisingly the stutters remained if i locked the fps at 60 or 144, i think the game engines really sturggles beyond 64 real chuncks
I might have missed it, but you must also be using Nvidium to keep framerates playable, right? As for the stutters, they're unfortunately inevitable. I've tried for years to find a good way around the GC pauses, but there's nothing you can do. The best thing is just to try to allocate the minimum you can really get away with. Edit: I see that you did mention Nvidium. This is a very interesting video, thanks for making it!
What mod allowed you to increase the render distance past 32? I have a 67 mods modpack that uses sodium but mine only goes to 32. Same gui interface as yours. Great test!
Nice Video. Can you test it while flying with elytra/ elytra+ riptide III trident+ rain. Up the simulation distance to 16/32/48 chunks. Or running big farms.
120 Chunks render distance is a total of 14 400 chunks loaded at the same time. 600 chunks render distance would be 360 000 Chunks. AKA 25 times more stuff to load. so it would take maybe like 300gb or ram to load this. also vram would become a problem. i don't think on any kind of configuration could handle 600 chunks.I think it's impossible to do that wihtout mods like Distant horizon creating LOD"s for further chunks
sodium pretty much 100 timeses the fps and any other fps boosting mod combined like better ram thing will be super good, with no mods i get stuttery laggy gameplay (13 year old mac), but with sodium and other mods its super smooth and I can play on 10 render distance instead of the usual 2 or 4

hey! thank you for taking my idea! i honestly cant believe minecraft runs somewhat smooth on 120 chunk view distance, my cpu struggles with 16 lol

imagine a vanilla playthrough with shaders, 32 chunk render, 256 chunk distant horizons and modified jvm args for no stuttering 😨
there will always be stuttering. you can only reduce it.
@@TheGreatestSoul yup, but you can modify it so that it's basically unnoticable
This performance it’s also pretty much because of sodium. That’s why u should always utilice sodium if the version u wanna play has it
Sodium and I am pretty sure it also has Nvidium Mod
That's incredible!
That performance is insane, can't wait to upgrade from an R5 3600 to an R7 9800x3d
haha yeah you'll be pleanstly suprised by how fast it is, stuters are a thing of the past on this thing

btw i wanna let you know that there is a mod known as NVIDIUM !
it's just avaialble for nvidia cards and it optimizes the render chunks

: laughing in 2056 chunks with distant horizons

@ perhaps I can still lower it to 512 or so, that’s a lot more then 120, while still maintaining more fps

Add shaders into the mix for maximum cpu fires

all the mods stated at the begining of the video are what made me able to increase the view distance

Pairing the 9800x3d with a 4090 you can easily get up to 192 chunks

what cpu cooler do you use? The ram usage is crazy 30gb ! , are you using 64gb ram
the CPU temp was almost 90c lol
You should do with shaders next

but if you can run the game at 120 chunks then how much could you get with distant horizons?

can you do a similar test but with 1080p?
