      dude I tried rolling like I roll my kayak with a high brace... then went back to youtube and it's all about that low brace and keeping your body over the gunnel until the very end... I'm sure I can roll it next time!!! haha

    It looked like everything was under control and then in the drink. Happy to see your channel growth this year, all the effort you're putting in is finally getting noticed👏

    I think my favourite part of this video was how happy you looked at the very end after a day in a solo boat. I do have started to enter the world of the solo playboat with an Esquif Zephry XL. It's helping me improve too although I take far more swims then you. Now if only Esquif made a Spark for us bigger guys (240 - 260 pounds).
    Thanks for sharing your video, it's was quite enjoyable.

    Nice! Looking good. You should think about trading out that demon biniere on your tow line for a self locking carabiniere.

    Great video man. The cross forward draw is your best friend for soloing! I wish I had a drysuit it was freezing when we went there last weekend

      @martymorissette  Рік тому +2

      Yeah the cross forward I need to work on it… I need to work on everything lol… my paddle is way too long though I’m this style canoe so I need to figure this out as well paddling on the cross side is too hard with such a long paddle

      And yes a drysuit is a game changer!!!

    Nice! I run class II+ in kayaks but I'm a canoe tripper 90% of the time. I can't figure out how I've gone this long without a little OC1 playboat. Going shopping!

    Looked fun! So im a bit confused on kayaks vs canoes. Are canoes the better choice for white water paddling?

    • @martymorissette
      @martymorissette  Рік тому +1

      It’s just different! It depends what you prefer doing and they allow you to do very different things

      @@martymorissette I don't know the first thing about this stuff but from my ignorant opinion, I'd say the canoe looks like it would be a bit more sturdy and hold up a little better?
