Instead of using sand paper to finish the holes in the acrylic you could use a deburring tool. It's traditionally for metal, but if your gentle and patient to does a fantastic job. We use plastic totes for our 8 snakes, and I had to drill hundred of holes in fragile acrylic.
Thanks for the decor tips! The hot spot in the hide is set to 88-90 (not sure if I mentioned that in the video). It’s the ambient temp in the upper area of the enclosure that’s set to 82-83ish
Thanks! I actually haven't had that issue at all, I have made a few changes to this enclosure, however. You can the 3 part series on my channel, here is the first part: ua-cam.com/video/fYBPrtIjdwA/v-deo.html
I converted a fish tank to a viv for my gtp, and I’m doing something very similar with my heating setup. It is super annoying but I added spray foam to help insulate. So far so good but haven’t added the snake yet, still curing
Ya as annoying as it was, the heat mats have actually worked out quite well. However I’m toying with the idea of adding lighting on the inside... which is going to require some problem solving haha
I think I’m going to add a che on a stand, so it isn’t on the glass. Just heat the air around the enclosure. Not sure if this will work out though. It’s so cold right now though
@@AnimalsatHomePodcast No problem , I hope to eventually get a carpet python or possibly a boa, they are so damn beautiful. I just recently got a rescued female corn snake which I love, but I can definitely see myself getting more (as long as I can keep the electric bill under control haha). Looking forward to catching up with the podcasts starting from tomorrow. Keep up your awesome man!
Yep I’ve done a follow up, however I’m not sure if I mention the heat tape: ua-cam.com/video/9qmPWOMDvaU/v-deo.html The heat tape is still working great, no issues maintaining temps. However, I’m starting to learning that heat tape/ RHP’s are not ideal for reptiles. Eventually I’ll be modifying this enclosure to allow for a deep heat projector from Arcadia. More info on that here: ua-cam.com/video/pNZjNzbUKQo/v-deo.html
For purposes of artistic unity, I wish you had found another grape vine to be your front bar at the top. That 1 non-grape vine branch seems a bit odd. LOVE IT, otherwise. Thanks for the good ideas!

wow can't believe you built this out of old windws.great job
Thank you, Ava! 😁
i like that you used my idea to implement foam
Yes, I did. Thanks for thinking of that idea
Thanks for the informative video! Great work on the enclosure!
Thanks, Mitch!

Great tip! Thank you 😁
Brilliant video.
Thank you!
Fantastic work brother. It looks phenomenal.
Thanks, Mitchell!
when I had glass enclosures with jungle pythons that size I used suction caps with hooks. you can get quite strong suction caps
also my jungles LOVE hammocks and pvc pipes and pipe couplers, that plus some 'vines' make one happy jungle carpet python
I think your hot spot isn't hot enough, Jungles need 86-95 Fahrenheit or 30-34 Celcius,

Good job. Building another myself new Jungle carpet coming soon :-)
Thank you! Good luck with your build!
I haven't watched the next video of when you put the snake inside the enclosure but I already know he'll be pleased as punch with it.
Yes, he seems to be really enjoying it! Already taken a meal no problem 👍🏼
Nice enclosure but what are you going to do when that wood starts rotting a d molding from the humidity?
Thanks! I actually haven't had that issue at all, I have made a few changes to this enclosure, however. You can the 3 part series on my channel, here is the first part: ua-cam.com/video/fYBPrtIjdwA/v-deo.html
Great vid!
Thank you, Deric!

Ya you’ll definitely want to keep it off the glass. Yes it’s super cold for this time of the year where I am as well. It’s terrible!
Hey, I'm doing the same for a carpet. Did the spray foam help insulate? if so, what kind did you use?
Syd Marcus it didn’t work out for me. I went back to plastic bins. The bins insulate wonderfully!
Hey man just found your channel and love the content and how well made the videos are. Awesome work!
Subbed of course
Glad you found the channel and are enjoying the content! Thanks for the sub!

Yes... it’s almost impossible to only have one snake haha! Love both my boas and carpet Python. Oh awesome, enjoy the show! Thanks for the support!
Don't mention it. I know the channel is still relatively young but I really hope it keeps growing!
you should get Tanner from SerpaDesign on your podcast! I'd love to see you two in a video talking about animal enclosures!
I’d love to have him on! I’ll reach out to him 😀
@@AnimalsatHomePodcast OH Heck Yeah!!
Have you done a follow video since this one?? I’m interested how the heat tape worked out?
Did it maintain temps well or no? 🤙🏻🙏🏻

What is the dimensions of the CP Viv? (carpet python vivarium)
3' x 2' x 2'
Please do feeding video for all of your snake 👍
Great idea! I’ll definitely do that
what kind of silicon did you use?
Just regular GE 1 Silicone!

Haha yes that would have been a good idea! Thanks for watching!
Awesome. Cute murder noodle.
Thanks for watching, Tim!
that is weird. he has the same head markings as mine O.O
Very cool! I love the markings on his head
