Marcus Miller wrote & produced, all of Sanborn funkiest songs. Actually, every song that has made Sanborn a household name Marcus wrote & produced for him.
The sound is good, but the performance is a bit labored. But for anyone to belittle David Sanborn's ability and legitimacy as an artist of versatility is going a bit far. This man has been in the vanguard of jazz, funk, fusion, latin, pop, and rock for years. As musician, I am often inspired by the freedom he allows other performers around him to contribute to the sound.

Gene.....nice solo! Some people (Idiots mostly) say a drum solo cannot be melodic! Here is exhibit A that proves that theory wrong!

Not in his element... You dont have a clue... Jazz, pop. funk, latin, rock... He has done it all and you have missed it..
he can play latin music. just not a great performance.
