      Hey i am considering going with the rock crawler. 2.5 inch Xfactor lift. with all the controll arms and track bars being adjustable i should only have to upgrade springs and shocks if i went to a 3.5 or 4 inch lift correct?

    I have the Tera Flex 2.5 inch lift running 33s 285/70/17s. Love the set up. Very minimal power loss, still can use 6 gear. I have a 6 speed manual. Gas milage was not affected much at all.

      I read where you can add another 1/2 inch on the 2.5 lift. Supposedly adds just a bit more room for the larger tire. I am thinking I am going to with a 35 inch tire. Thoughts??

      A friend of mine just bought a used 2014 JK with the exact set up you are talking about, it is truly a very nice kit, I am going looking to add the same kit to my JKU this year. saving up for it. He has the 3.5" Game Changer Kit on his, I don't plan on running 35" tires, so I am looking at the 2.5" I have contacted them and they said the only difference between the 2.5 and the 3.5 is the springs, so he said if I do change my mind later and want the 3.5" lift, all I will need to change out is the springs. So to me that is a huge perk. I don't claim to be a Jeep guru, but since you asked about the kit and no-one has replied, I figure I would since I have seen it first hand and have had a chance to drive his new jeep his just purchased, I think it is a super nice kit, so much so, I am wanting the same one for my jeep.
      Let us know what you end up getting for you jeep.
      The only thing I wish, is that Extreme terrain would carry this lift and their products, I love extreme terrain and plan on using them for most of my upgrades.

    32 inch tires came on both brother's Sahara unlimited back country, and my Rubicon. Not sure where he thinks you need a leveling kit just too run a 31 inch tire. guess they need to go learn more about the jk before they start trying to tell people what they need on it.

      thanks for your reply. In australia we don't have much "complete lift kit" to choose, but I still prefer to have all parts from 1 brand. the geometry correction brackets are quite important acorrding to the mechanic. And he suggested to have 33' for a 2.5 lift. what do you think? AEV 2.5 supply & install costs around AU$2500 here.

    • @MrCarCrazy
      @MrCarCrazy 7 років тому +1

      Nathan Jefferson
      If you have the 3.21's you will notice the larger tires. But it will be tolerable.
      If you have the 3.73's or 4.10's it will be lovely with 33's.
      Yes larger tires will mess with the speedo. To fix it you have to buy either the AEV procal or the superchips flashcal.
