hello sir i don't understand when to choose A , B , C or 1/8 because between A and B is a small interval as well as B and C or C and 1/8 can you specify more or choose A, B, C or 1/8 is due to experience?
Way I do it, I start of my standing stance looking CCB to Edge of the object ball, all it does for me put me 30 degree shot, then I narrow down to either A,B,C or edges even if it is 30 degree shot or not.
CTE can be confusing for players. I switched to using CTE 3 years ago, and it changed my accuracy and shot making so much. The pivot can confuse players the most I think. It comes down to making the system work for you. Find your way into the system. How/when to pivot. I stand behind the object ball and look at the contact point or line to the pocket. Go to the cue ball, and look at the center to the edge of the object ball. Go down looking at the edge of the object ball and make my pivot somewhat halfway down into my stance. It put me right in line perfectly. I love the system and with enough practice it will work for you.
Hey there, I've been playing with this system for the past 6 months and I love it. However, I can't work out how to put spin on the cue ball when I need the CB in a specific spot for my next shot. Any advice or links to videos that explains this would be great. Cheers.
@@joemarshallamp I wish I could point you in the right direction for some videos. I’m no good at coaching. All I can say is keep practicing more and more. It will get there
@@dharialhouly6958 I’m not real sure on CTE 3. I just have a dvd one the original version with Stan. It’s a great system. You just have to practice it and make the “pivot” part of it work for you. I pivot when I’m halfway down into my stance, after looking at the center of the cue ball, then the edge of the object ball. Pivot into my final stance position, then proceed with my preliminary strokes and contact point. It takes some patience, practice, and time, but it does work.
so when i get down to a shot, should the A B C lines face me and the cue ball?, or it should face the pocket ?
I'm so confused... From my understanding, you're going right to left visualizations on a left pocket cut shot?
Look up center ball ... I've learned a lot under that category.. Then I learned from watching snooker aim videos Hope it helps

and how exactlly can i decide whether the shot is 15,30 or 45 degrees ?
Angle is based on direction to the pocket. (ie)15 degrees is a straight shot...
@@howardberger3676 and when i get down to a shot, should the A B C lines face me and the cue ball?, or the A B C should face the pocket ?
There are 2 methods Traditional Aimlines face the OB ball ,my style Aimlines face the pocket.
@@howardberger3676 thank you sir! Will give it a try !

There are variations of CTE it is what works for you 👍🎱
I don't get why all the movement and pivoting? Why not just find the line to the point on the ball and lay down on it and shoot?
That may be okay for advanced players..
@@tomwalker9836 I use a system without all the movements or pivoting
