FIRMWARE UPDATE 0.2.1: Has improved the transparency mode. It's still not amazing but overall clarity has been improved. The ANC now has 4 options for different ear types. Default is still the strongest for me but let me know how it works for you. On another note you can also customise the ANC switching and unselect normal mode. It's a bit hidden, you need need to tap on 'noise cancelling custom' in the control settings and that will reveal the option to customise the switching. 👍
Hey man is the noise cancelling really that bad, say compared to the moondrop space travel? I was looking for a good sound quality with anc and wireless charging tws in less than or equal to 100 AUD.
Thanks for the review. In the customise controls section of the app, if you select noise cancelling custom, it allows you to configure to unselect normal mode from the long press cycle.
Thanks for the review! I’m really confused about which earbud to choose because there are so many manufacturers and models available. I listen to metal music, and I prefer earbuds with good bass, as I don’t like a flat sound. I’m considering the following options: ‘Soundpeats Air 4 Pro (€60),’ ‘Soundpeats Life (€24),’ ‘Soundpeats Capsule 3 Pro (€60),’ ‘QCY HT05 (€34),’ ‘Soundcore Life P3i (€45),’ ‘Soundcore Life P3 (€60),’ ‘Soundcore P20i (€21),’ ‘Moondrop Space Travel (€30),’ and ‘Soundcore Liberty 4 NC (€80),’ which is slightly above my budget.
If you just want best sound quality above all else, try soundpeats engine 4 (it does not have anc), otherwise the edifier w240tn and soundcore liberty 4 nc are best overall
4NC is the best overall if you don't mind spending more. SP Air4 Pro are not as bass heavy but do sound better and you can EQ them to push out some decent bass still. I love my metal and the Air4 Pro sound great
Something you said about your gf still using the free pro 1 and still good after 3 years. With the hard work these devices put daily this is remarkable. I have both free pro 2 and 3 while my mum has the free pro 1, all going strong while other earbuds died long ago.
My Sennheiser Momentum wireless 3 had charging problems after like half a year , second pair worked fine but after a few months my dog ate it lol(fell out of my pocket), , that Sennheiser cost 3 times more than the Earfun free pro 3 so if these will work for a year I will be happy , should arrive in like 2 days
Great review @pickyaudio. Subscribed! I just got them in yesterday and still testing them out. Saw that the Ear Fun Air Pro 3 are now on firmware version 0.5.1. with a similar features to the free pro 3 and 10 band EQ. Would love a revisit of them as well perhaps also vs. the free pro 3?
Which one would you buy for overall earbuds: mixture of music listening, ANC for office work and voice calls: Liberty 4nc or Earfun Air pro 3 or Soundpeats Air 4 pro? Thanks
Thank you so much for the video! I have a question. Would you buy this or galaxy buds 2 pro? Cuz it's same price with buds 2 pro in my country. For me the sound quality and ANC (I have not tried it before yet) important. Thank you.
Very detailed and informational video. However, I just have one question in mind : how would you compare the ANC on the Sony Linkbuds S and the ANC on the Jabra Elite 7 pro? I'm having a really hard time deciding on which one to buy. Thank you in advance
Great review, I got these and the sound is great. The ANC is a real disappointment for me. The weirdest part is the call quality because all the reviews confirmed a good call quality, but the people I talk to are always complaining ! Thinking to keep or return them.
@pickyaudio S22 Ultra, kinda strange right? Do you recommend any similar pair in terms of volume and sound but with much better ANC and transparency? High volume is a must for me.
Here is my expericne with Earfun Free Pro 3 and Souncore 4 NC I bought Soundcore 4 NC, they didn't fit my eartype and kept falling out but still their Noise Cancellation was phenomenal the sound was okayish too not the one if you are bass lover. So I bought Earfun Free Pro 3 felt like a downgrade for NC but sound quality was way better than Soundcore ( Maybe that was also because of the fit issues). - The mic quality of Soundcore is horrible. Earfun is way better. !! But Earfun Freee Pro 3 has a really annoying issue that I am facing that the right earbud sounds really low sometimes and it gets better after some time plugging in the ear idk why it is like that. Apart from that I also felt some connectivity issues here and there. Not as much as fluid as SoundCore. - Lastly the app of Souncore is also way better than Earfun. So conclusion- If ou want best of everything and your eartype fit is same as those of Apple's airpods then go for soundcore and if you just want the best audio possible then go for earfun.
Thanks for the review and greetings from N California. I'm confused which is actually pretty normal for me. The guys from DHRME you know them i hope? They say that the Free pro 3 is tuned just like the Air pro 3 out of the box and they showed graphics on the tuning. You say the opposite. Why? 🆘👍🇺🇸
Cheers Mike, Love DHRME! It’s a very similar tuning but my experience is the free pro 3 has cleaner treble, more forwards vocals and tighter bass. It’s very subtle and this is with ANC on with both earbuds. Keep in mind even slight difference in how the buds fit can effect the sound a lot.
i use earfun free pro 2 and the eartip is really annoying since it just slips my ear i am not too excited about the earfun free pro 3 but u made me intrigued. i was planing to buy samsung buds in some way. but lets see.

hi i am using sony xm3 but the battery was just dead, any recommendation on a budget range that is better in both sound quality and ANC? (currently looking at those edifier buds right now)
I really love the Earbuds, i only experienced one problem, in transparency mode, full transparency toggle, in silent environments the sound constantly cuts out (sound of the transparency and mics not playback) and kinda crackles, in Standard there is no such problem, anyone had this issue?
@@redhunter1535of you go to far from your phone and they turn themselves off you can turn them on by holding the touch pads down for 3 seconds to turn on
Hey so I’m pretty sure Edifier’s newest app update (a week ago) may have improved the bass on the W240TN. Possible other aspects of the sound. Have you noticing anything?
I just got mine a few hours ago. I was disappointed with the Ambience. it's just like normal, I barely hear external noises. I also updated it, but still no good. Free 2 Pro has better ambiance mode.
I just got these in yesterday, & for me the EQ shift is very noticeable. I would be bumping music then when I switch from ANC to Normal or Transparency that bump turns into, well, a "baby" bump. 😂 Also there are moments when the right bud may lose connection if I turn my head. I even did a reset. Not looking good for me.
I was going to add them to this video but the price is pretty high. They sound slightly better and have a better transparency mode but the rest of the features are similar in quality
got them yesterday... sorry to say that they do not feel as good as the free pro 2. but much more important... the connectivity is just a piece of shit! no other words to describe it. i have so many connectivity issues with 0.21. version with my phone it cuts, but with my high end dell pc(xps 9730) the connectivity is just absolute CRAP! i can't move 3 meters from pc without cuts! with my phone in my pocket i have cuts in sound, just absolutely awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
