I’m surprised you don’t see the need to lock touch controls. This was the biggest feature they forgot about on the free pro 2s. Any moisture makes them useless by messing with the controls, which makes being water resistant kind of pointless. I will definitely be upgrading to the free pro 3s at some point so that I can turn off touch controls while I use my pressure washer at work.
There's been two fw updates (current - 0.2.3) and an app update to address ANC/transparency. I think they're greatly improved since this review. edit - another update dropped to 0.2.6 for ANC and connection stability enhancement. That's like 3 updates since I unboxed them lol
I currently own the earfun Air 3 Pro, and they are amazing. Good news for me, my family found my Soundcore Liberty 4 and Sports X10, and I am thinking of returning the liberty 4 and getting something else, but i also think i am making a mistake. I currently returned my wf1000xm5 for Elite 10, and it was the best decision ever, but i also really enjoyed my time spent with the wf1000xm5, sensational, and feature packed. I would say that the ANC is the same, but they are both designed differently for good reasons, which affects the Ambient modes. For instance, the Semi open design is good for passive noise isolation and enhances the transparency but still gives top-tier ANC and it also has Adaptive ANC but its annoying because it gets easily triggered so i sent an email to Jabra that perhaps havinv the option to access in the app would be better than it turning it on by itself and i was told that it was a very valuable feedback to take into consideration. ANC is still better on the BOSE and wf1000xm5
Thanks guys, top tier as always. Glad v3 now app supported, no 3rd party 'hacking' required like v1 and 2. Too bad the ANC is still so so but I'm getting them for the stellar Free Pro sound, low profile and features.
Fantasic videos! I have two questions - does the eq setting work on laptop too? is it still best sound quality under 100 bucks? Thank you so much@@DHRME
I have a pair too and am happy with them. I feel like the ANC got better after the 0.2.1 firmware update. They've added 4 adaptive options with ANC and I think the default or 4th gives the strongest result for me. I am curious if this changes the ANC ranking for the review. Ofcourse these buds can be improved over time with updates.
@@LoneSwordsmanTheory Also the EarFun tips are a bit flimsy and don't give me the best seal. So I am using the Spinfit 360 and the new Omni tips. I think the sound is the smootest for me with a large size Spinfit 360 eartips and isolation is better with those compared to the EarFun eartips.
Thanks for the EQ suggestion. My Free Pro 3 sounds terrible on "Classic" and Terrible on "Oluv's" if the ANC is ON. They sound totally different, and need different EQ with ANC off. There should not be a difference. QUESTION: Do you publish your recommended EQ curve somewhere? I can pause the video and squint but if there is another way I'd like to know.
i do understand why you are allowed to turn off touch controls. I've had situations i was biking in raining weather with earbuds in and if your raincoat or jacket is slightly wet it keeps tapping the earbuds
I was using the Liberty 4 NCs but they constantly fall out of my ears. So, I've decided to switch to the Earfun free pro 3. Hope I'm not making a mistake.
Hi, great review guys, just Love Daddys Hoping Reviews Might Explode😂.. so with the right EQ the free pro 3 are better than the rest in the video? Are they better than the air pro 3?
Thanks for the review! I think I'll keep my pair for a week to see if the intermittent connectivity issues lessen. Otherwise I might just get the Soundcore Life A3i.
Hi guys thank you for another useful review. I really like my Earfun free pro 2's the bass is amazing, but i'am tempted with the free pro 3's for the multipoint. How would you rate the bass compared to the free pro 2's?
While on call ( not while listening music or video) while on an call it does allow you to change noise cancellation mode via buds? Or do you need to change it on the app while on call? Thanks
If you find the case of the Free pro 3 small, compare them to the Free Pro 2. The case of the Free pro 2 is even smaller. I also want to ask if you only notice the problem with Multipoint connection on MAC? I am using a Windows PC and my Samsung Phone and have problems with it. Most of the time it does not switch back to the PC or if it does i often can no longer change the volume via the earbuds. Only thing that helps then is to put the buds in the case and reconnect with the PC (without the Smartphone connection enabled). And a small tipp for everyone that needs a bit more ANC effectiveness. Get yourself new eartips. Something like the misodiko S450D or the misodiko Mix460 (both can be bought cheaper from other sellers but you have to search a bit). They do fit into the charging case (which is usually a problem with TWS) and isolate way way better than the original tips. And if you use ANC with this tips you will get a totally different impression about it!

Wait, I'm not sure if I heard that right despite rewinding it. I thought it was said that you can wear one earbud on its own. But then that statement is followed with you only get what's in the right, or left channel when wearing one earbud. Can anyone help out here?
earfun has horrible support so if it breaks in 2 months you are out some money. I would def buy something with support behind it especially bc earbuds are very likely to break in 6 months or less
No complaints or concerns with any of them so far. Free Pro 2 👍, SV Pro x2 👍, Air Pro 3 x2 (superb earbuds)👍. At sub $100, if they crap out, can replace without much issue. Luckily none have crapped out. The batteries have reduced a bit, but that is going to happen to each and every earbud on the market. What kind of issues are you experiencing?
