A short film first shot in late March 2009. I have re-edited this film to show the interest and enthusiasm I have in this beautiful mountain flower. Purple Saxifrage #Pen-y-Ghent# Yorkshiredales
Purple saxifrage is the floral emblem of Nunavut. It serves as the territorial flower of Nordland county in Norway, Nunavut in Canada and the county flower of County Londonderry in Northern Ireland. The flowers can be picked for food. The semi-sweet petals are edible. The flower is known to the Inuit people as aupilaktunnguaq.
Wonderful film David & Audrey, It's inspired me and my partner to go looking for this beautiful alpine, really superb 🙂👍
Beautiful scenery and a refreshingly lovely documentary. Thanks for sharing, David!
