Cliff, that Buttermilk Falls is absolutely beautiful and so, is the other one too! Loved that neat and cool looking little medieval castle as you called it! Thank you for taking me along with you on your adventures!
Up trail about 3 miles is the remnants of lock 24 and lock 22 of the canal. And if you go up to the Tannery Rd side there is another great waterfall about a mile in. There is also the remnants/piers of an old bridge from that end too. I have passed the round structure, but never stopped....always riding by too quickly I guess... Great video. Thanks for sharing those places!
cool place Cliff. Lked the falls, the ruins. I could hear an echo of your voice in the "water tower". Fun to watch the kayakers . I could watch them get around those rocks and float for a long time.
second time watching, cliff. hey let me know if you ever want to go hike some falls again. have a huge list written down i need to visit!! also kayaking too, been itching to get out too! need a roof mount for the kayak though
You're so funny! Love your message to Mike lol...Battle of the "Falls" 🏞 💦 that round structure reminds me of a castle turret. I love castles! I could live in this one 😊 the falls are lovely! Thanks for the hike! Oooh that ice cream sounds yummy! What brand is that? I usually buy Talenti Gelatto and Cedar Crest Midnight Dark Chocolate ice cream. The dark choc is good with some Kahlua on it..
Absolutely breathtaking Cliff..can never get enough of waterfalls...beautiful...the stone structure was unique to..thanks so much for taking me along 😊👍
Beautiful buttermilk water falls and the other one was to. Man I can't believe all the streams in PA, there is water everywhere. I'll be there too for ice cream, you are a cool gye. . Thanks for all that you do.
Would be so cool if you & Mike did a waterfall challenge!! Loved Buttermilk & Luke's falls, just gorgeous. That little round stone structure was amazing!! Thank you so much was a beautiful video. Your ice cream sounded really good.🍧 Looks like you had a great day. 🥰
Really like Lehigh Gorge...great to walk or bike. You are right about other Buttermilk Waterfalls: the one in Walpack area of DWGNRA is tallest in NJ but I bet you know that! Also the one off Rt 209 in Pennsy side of Water Gap is nice too. Looks like you got there after recent rains - nice flow of water. Thanks, as usual.
I'm spoiled because I travel to Vermont once a year, specifically in and around the Mad River valley. Moss Glen Falls and Texas Falls are especially inspiring. The swimming holes in the town of Warren are awesome as well. Great video Cliff, I'll keep watching
Wouldn't it make a great video if you and Jay both got a kayak and went on river trips ??. That round castle like ruin looked almost like the windmills they have over in Holland. The waterfalls are beautiful and so is the river, it paints a very idyllic scene. Thank you for sharing. x
Beautiful area! Love the sound of that water. Bits of history throughout. Oh, that ruin is awesome! Circular ruins are very interesting...the architecture is not an easy feat.
Cliff, I think it is so nice that you recommend other UA-camr channels. I check them all out, but yours is still my favorite. Sorry other UA-camrs. Have a blessed weekend 😊
Great place to ride a bike and see some beautiful waterfalls, Glen Onoko ain't got nothin on them. I put up a video from last summer here, starting in the Glen Onoko parking lot where there is a ton of parking. If you can manage the miles, seeing it from both directions is a new experience, little waterfalls are hidden everywhere especially in spring after a good rain. Sometimes you won't see them but you'll feel the cool air coming off the cascading water and that's when you know to stop and look through the shrubs and rhododendron. Morning is the best time to go, most who go to see the waterfalls park in the Rockport parking area because its only a mile walk. Weekend afternoons is when you've got the most traffic and the most folks who don't know how to ride a bike on a trail haha.
@@samanthab1923 Yup, they close it off for last year, though Wolf has been up there and promised funding to refurbish the trail. The three parking lots are still open for use, since the waterfall is closed they're generally empty. I was just remarking on the friends who have seen Luke and Buttermilk falls have said they're more interesting than Glen Onoko its self. I haven't actually seen Glen Onoko yet.
i was there the day you went hiking i think you freaked out a few people by talking to your phone.....the old couple was wishpering they thought you were a safty inspector or health inspector..llololololo iam from carb
I have so many great falls in my area that i want to do vids. On but they are always so packed with people. I think getting there early is the best bet. A falls called Buttermilk Falls is one of them.
Ice Cream, eh? And I don't have any and craving it! Always tomorrow. Great videos WW and beautiful water falls. There is something magical about a water falls is the woods. I could smell the water and feel the spray! A fine Sunday to you WW and Thanks Kindly! Better have some more ice cream too! DaveyJO
The structure by Luke's Falls is the base for an old water tank, as you stated, used for the railroad that ran through there. Hopefully the tourist railroad that runs out of Jim Thorpe settles their issue with the borough so when you get your bike you can take the bike train from there to White Haven and you can ride the 25 miles back to town. So much to see along that trail, it's my favorite place to be.
good morning Cliff. Another video to show us your adventures. I enjoy them. Does the home schooling you do go year around or will you get the summer off? Supposedly the ozone produced from the action of the falling water is beneficial and one of the reasons people really enjoy falls, besides the visual part.
Gosh those falls were beautiful. Tho buttermilk falls was biggest I rather liked Luke’s falls better, both were awesome tho. Your “castle” was gorgeous loved the stonework in it. With those acoustics you should have had a guitar and sang us a tune. Really enjoyed that thank you so much for taking me along. Please stay safe
Get out of my waterfalls! 🤣👍👍
Hi Mike I was thinking how funny this was when Cliff said eat your heart out! Two great minds you and Cliff!
😂

Buttermilk Falls, approptiately named....thanks for braving the crowds Cliff to show the falls.
A great place with some pretty falls and mysterious buildings.
It must have been a super fun day, so many different interesting places and topping it off with gorgeous waterfalls.

I think the Lehigh had the only Class V rapids in PA if you're a canoer or kayaker looking for a challenge.
Thank you Cliff quite enjoyable as always.
Loved Lukes falls Cliff and the old round structure
Amazing
Love waterfalls but a little wary of your favourite (tunnels) xx
Whitewater rafting on the Lehigh River is fun! You should try it when you have time. Good explore!
Beautiful waterfalls. I think Luke's was my favorite, but maybe I'm just rooting for the underdog. Great video.
I never knew those waterfalls were there. Thanks for sharing. They were beautiful. Enjoy.

great video Cliff.
I learned something knew today why they call water falls butter milk. Butter milk falls was named for the frothy appearance of its churning waters.
Gee, you THINK?!
NICE
Beautiful scenic video, love the sound of the water.

Love your videos. As someone who relocated to the area, your content has given me tons of ideas of things to explore with the family. Thank you!
Buttermilk falls. Fantastick. You can see where water used to flow. Maybe it still does when it rains.
i was there the day you went hiking i think you freaked out a few people by talking to your phone.....the old couple was wishpering they thought you were a safty inspector or health inspector..llololololo

There's at least 2 waterfalls in NY called Buttermilk Falls as well lol. In Ithaca and in the Adirondacks too

Glad to learn about eastern Pa . I’m from southwest part of the state
I have been there several times and never knew about the ruins.
Looks like a great place to cool off on a Hot day

Miss my kayaking
That is beautiful!
Magnificent!
Great day, 👍. How many parks have you visited so far? I'll keep watching.
About 30 to 40 I thinks
My wife and I love Buttermilk Falls. We always stop there when biking from Whitehaven to Jim Thorp.
What a pretty park!
How did that car get out on the rail trail? Do they allow cars on it?
Part of the trail just down from the parking lot is driveable for extra parking, but it is then gated.
Windmill ruin?
