Not so long ago they discovered gas, oil and Lithium in their country and they're really rising they're renovating their roads, building new ones and building more schools, and now a new city is being constructed. They just launched a new currency backed by gold and it's doing well, they're in the right direction because since 2018 Zimbabwe's economy is the fastest growing economy in Southern Africa. If I had known all this early enough, I would have interviewed this fearless man. I watched his final UN speech. He spoke clesrly and eloquently. He knew which principles of international law had been violated. He spoke to the world fearlessly. Little did we know that that was his farewell speech. Commentary on his life and death revealed an unusual, fearless andxstraight talking man. The late Zimbabwean President received positive coverage from some objective Western media. I realised like most Zimbabweans I only knew the Western reprentation of this man but not his true story. He may not have been perfect but he fought for the continent. My surprised was further reinforced during my study of international Relations at the University. In the study material, it was stated that during the Western Foreign Policy on SAPs had only been challenged by Zimbabwe and Burundi. May His Dear Soul truly Rest in Peace. He fought his battle. The question fir us all is, what will we be rememberd for? What legacy will we leave for our children, grandchildren, our nations be for global peace as a whole?
I agree that the ultimate owner of the land no matter what color his skin is entitled to compensation when asked to hand over his land. But the one who must pay compensation is the colonial country because they are the ones who receive the profits from the transfer of the land to the final owner. Not so long ago they discovered gas, oil and Lithium in their country and they're really rising they're renovating their roads, building new ones and building more schools, and now a new city is being constructed. They just launched a new currency backed by gold and it's doing well, they're in the right direction because since 2018 Zimbabwe's economy is the fastest growing economy in Southern Africa. If all of Africa wants to unite as one and is facing external opposition and pressure, yes it can look for outside help if it is unable to resist or has difficulty in resisting. However, if it does not want to unite due to fratricidal differences along tribal lines - like even today, South Africans vs Zimbabweans - then, looking to China an Russia is not going to help any.

Easy to say. South Afrioa is a much more complex country than Zimbabwe. They can handle their land reform better without going thru the hell that Zimbabwe went through. Half of Zimbabwe had to escape to South Africa to avoid dying of hunger. Where will South African escape to if they follow the same model?

From I read, China’s foreign policy is win-win for both parties. They want the other party to also succeed by building infrastructures and become eventually independent. Payment structure is reasonable (not harsh & exploitative) that enables the borrower- nation to repay their loan eventually.
China also restructures loans and also forgives loans. It has been colonized by major western powers so understands the pain of the Africans
