Haha, watcha know about this...I got the privilege of watching him at United whenever possible and I took it for granted. Saw him back on his home turf, where he belongs, when he played us in an AC shirt. All the crowd sang for him and as fan's we would welcome him back to end his career at the Theatre of Dreams, back where he belongs, anytime! You don't get the number 7 shirt at United without being the best of the best, number 23 is just a secondary! Red, 7, Manchester United.
wow nice goal becks! i love the reaction of us fans..so cute haha...:D cuz they haven't see becks scoring a goal in us.. i like that us fans on video :D
that is some awesome live footage...better, much! much! better than when those high def cameras are filmin that stoof cuz its like ur in the crowed pretty epic...
Maybe try watching it and understanding it. You are deff missing out. There is a reason its the biggest sport in the world. No time outs and none stop action. Great game. I like lots of other sports but none come close to football.
@BruderSeth That sounds amazing. I'm in job training right now as soon as I get some money I'm going on a european brew tour and that spot is now officially on my list
ya why is everyone hating on america? lol, i'm originally from romania, but still, what the heck? I seem to recall that usa beat spain in the confed. cup. and then almost beat brazil in the final? cmon people. America is an up and coming soccer playing nation. (BTW. All the kids these days either play soccer or basketball. its getting to be quite popular.)
people need to stop hating america for being new at soccer its not like we say oh wow look at those Englishmen they cant even throw the basket ball, or football, or anything else besides soccer for that matter, and i am from the U.K
@robbiesoho the great thing about it is: there is a hiking trail which goes from one brewery to the next, you just take your tent and your sleeping bag and visit one brewery after the other, get wasted, sleep in the tend and then hike to the next one!
really why is everyone hating on Americans ? because we are the best at everything we do ? the only sport we arent the best at is soccer and we are top 10 in the world. I bet if all our good athletes would pick soccer over all the other sports, we would easily be number 1. because think about it, every one chooses basketball, American football, baseball, and even hockey over soccer.
nah i think its cool beckham might make football (soccer) bigger in the states. its like when the giants and dolphins played at wembley - me and my mates went to watch. we'd played nfl computer games and really enjoyed it. if it caught on here id join in lol. its like a rugby but with armour and fireworks, itd be cool. still love football though. BURNLEY FC !!!
@palmersPlaces in my opinion soccer is actually popular in america especially on the east coast region 1 area which consists of states like virginia maryland delaware pennsylvania. now i will say its not as popular football or basketball but soccer is expected to grow in popularity and in 20ish years we are expected to be a new soccer powerhouse. for example we got an 18 year old on the USA team named juan agudelo.
Americans can definatley have American football, seeing as they won the world championships last month. By the way, I'm British, also, there are about 100 or so British American Football teams currently competing (from youth, to University, to Senior) And that's before you count flag. Just because you don't like or understand a sport, doesn't mean no-one does
@willthefireeater fair point, apologies to any real man utd fans out there from manchester with a real connection to the club. You're argument about supporting them from birth is pointless, if you have only supported them from an early age due to their success then you are still a glory supporter, regardless of the length of time supporting them. This seems to pass some people by, however if you are one of the few real man utd fans then fair play, you are a rare breed
I love the American people, their passion, their pride and their country. And I'm discussed that stupid, small minded people try to poke fun at them, because they don't all sing the same song like us, like mindless zombies!
@FujiwaraYuukoWAO Yes I know its the English one but at the beginnin we speak about LA and LA is not in Europa... of course Premier League of England is the best but last time i heard speaking about USA football, they called it like the English one... so a bit confused, be more specific next time :)
@robbiesoho you should visit the "fränkische Schweiz" (Little Switzerland), a part of south-east germany, this is the area with the highest brewery density in the world!
@ExAnimoRob This may shock you but there are Man United fans that have supported them for their whole life. Don't assume that all Man United supporters are glory supporters.
Fans are the same everywhere. More passion here then the few games I went to at the Camp Nou while living in Barca, so I guess they suck too? Get over yourselves, fandom isn't part of the competition.
@satyasvarup Having said that you are vastly improving! Henry, Beckham all ending their careers in the US. Donovan, Dempsey, Bradley, Howard, Altidore all decent players. Even Marcus Hahneman! :)
Hi guys, say I'm ignorant and pardon me for that. Enlighten me please,on the origin of Football? There's a theory says England invented it and the prove is "Football's coming home" song. Disclaimer: the theory isn't mine.
I agree with you bud, it's fixed! Take a close look at the Thierry Henry goal for France against Brazil in World Cup 2006, their defenders just let him score. France eventually progressing to the final helped promote Euro 2008 making FIFA more money. The World Cup final in 1998 between France and Brazil was also very suspicious, the Brazilian team didn't even warm up before the match! As for this Beckham free kick the opposing team are probably just Z list actors pulled from dish washing duties.
@satyasvarup Back then people just kicked it around endlessly with no purpose though. The GAME was invented by us, like the rules and that. Whether the Chinese did or not, I have no idea I'm not that old, but the game wouldn't be what it is today if not for us. They may have had the original idea, but we invented the GAME.
Its wierd how different american fans are to british or european fans. In a game in the champions league you wouldnt get someone screaming 'you got this beckham'. haha
Wish I'd been there.Atmosphere must have been amazing.
the man is a legend !!!!! come back home becks ...

Beckham should come back to the Barclays PL.
Premier League fucking rules.

Great goal by beckham - good to see him off the mark
@aksinamun123 Spain? That team we beat last time we played them?
Americans can definatley have American football, seeing as they won the world championships last month. By the way, I'm British, also, there are about 100 or so British American Football teams currently competing (from youth, to University, to Senior) And that's before you count flag.

@Kirkster17 its not when we lose its when we have the balls to stand up!
@satyasvarup Having said that you are vastly improving! Henry, Beckham all ending their careers in the US. Donovan, Dempsey, Bradley, Howard, Altidore all decent players. Even Marcus Hahneman! :)

@OTSTRETFORD Its good! point taken
@FujiwaraYuukoWAO he certainly got that one
Hi guys, say I'm ignorant and pardon me for that.
Enlighten me please,on the origin of Football? There's a theory says England invented it and the prove is "Football's coming home" song.
Disclaimer: the theory isn't mine.
@McLoughlin4 now that is soo right
I agree with you bud, it's fixed! Take a close look at the Thierry Henry goal for France against Brazil in World Cup 2006, their defenders just let him score. @metallicamaiden01234 Look at Beckham in the 90's before you say he has nothing but accuracy and freekick taking skills, the man ran the games.
@PersianWolverine What's an amiercan?
the hardest sport in the world is motocross.. the most aerobic sport ever is world cup soccer and followed close behind is motocross
@satyasvarup Who invented the game then? England is the home of football. Hence the song "Football's coming home"
@satyasvarup Back then people just kicked it around endlessly with no purpose though. The GAME was invented by us, like the rules and that. what a noise the public made LoL!
@OvM88 Took the words right outta my mouth.
good old wikipedia
LMAO there was like 8 people in the wall and he STILL scored. XD
Watch this video, then watch beckham score a free kick for a english team, compare the crowd's reactions... English fans know how to celebrate!
500 en la barrera
i'm surprised they didnt shout "USA USA USA!"
It's called football...
Its wierd how different american fans are to british or european fans. In a game in the champions league you wouldnt get someone screaming 'you got this beckham'. haha
6 people to guard in the wall :D
