  • The crew of Manvir Baryan and Drew Sturrock has won the fourth round of the FIA Africa Rally Championship 2017. Cruising in a Skoda R5, the Multiple Racing Team from Kenya beat more than 50 other crews in Central Uganda. Baryan maintained a lead right from the first day of the competition registering his first win on foreign land. Uganda's Christakis Fitidis came second while Belgian driver Giancarlo Davite sealed the podium finishing third overall. With 40 points, Baryan now leads the Africa Rally Championship ahead of Zambia's Leroy Gomes who is two points behind. 2015 Africa rally Champion Jaspreet Chatte had a terrible day having retired after section two of the final day due to a mechanical failure. More than half the crews failed to finish the Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally 2017.
