I hope you atleast gave your gecko the shed to eat because it's full of much needed nutrients that's good for them which is why they eat it.

I don't recommend peeling the skin off the leopard gecko gets most of its nutrients from the skin...but you can peel it off if your leo has problems with it. Just saying its not very nessasary to do so.
