I thought she was quite gentle on him. He is obviously completely out of his depth and unsuitable for the job he's been given. He'd probably make quite a good restaurant manager; so long as he can remember his cash flow and turnover when asked - you know, basic stuff that you need to do your job.
+Singapom888 And the 19% increase in the use of food banks? That's a sign of what? An increase in distribution of emergency food aid is more concerning than a drop in employment figures.
+Singapom888 If Labour really were 'deficit deniers' they'd still be the less economically irresponsible and incompetent economic policy makers compared to the 'deficit fetishists' making such silly accusations. A record total number of people in jobs (in a record total population) is (obviously) no indicator of the health of the economy. The low unemployment rate would be if it hadn't been accompanied by stagnant productivity / real wage growth. In fact the UK economy is still in poor condition (an unprecedentedly long time after a financial crash-induced recession) in large part thanks to the damaging pro-cyclic austerity it has been treated to: appalling economic quackery justified with economically illiterate, household budget analogising deficit fetishism. mainlymacro.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/mediamacro-myths-summing-up.html
Hope any opposition party learns from this. It was not a massive and critical interview, but the lack of preperedness shouts amateur. Do better next time!
+Andrew brooks-davis Quite. Armed with an economic advisory committee of this - press.labour.org.uk/post/129975218774/labour-announces-new-economic-advisory-committee - calibre they should have no problem dealing with the appalling economic nonsense and quackery coming from the government and media.
He doesn't know the current deficit. I'm afraid that I don't know the current deficit other than it is about 5%. I have taken my eye off the ball because it is no longer the massive worry that it was in 2010 when it was over 10%. When every time a public servant was paid or a state pension paid we had to borrow 25% of the money. His ignorance has been exceeded however. When a film producer made a documentary about the debt crisis in 2010 one Labour cabinet minister and one union leader didn't know the difference between deficit and debt.
"He's right, isn't he?" Nice neutral journalism from Channel 4 there -.-
I don't know what this reporters name is but shes tiresome, this interview is almost as tragic as when she tried to paint Corbyn as anti-semitic
Richard Burgon went on an anti Zionist rant and then lied and said he didn't say it. Video on UA-cam shows this.

Lowest unemployment in 7 years: more people in jobs since records began. The economy seems to be working rather well: Labour are deficit deniers.
