One of the reason for the delay. is that, as of late , some Jamaicans are using Pananma as well as other central american countries as a staging ground to enter the USA illegally through the Mexican border.

Make sure you guys do not leave your passport behind have your travel documents at all time with you make sure all of you have it that is very important.

In fact, sit the whole team down and explain to them, that if one member messes up, it affects everyone. You are on to bigger things now and it would be good if everyone can be on the same train to reach the mountain top.
Yes ! Please make sure your passport it with you at all times especially traveling at night. Lots of random police check take place. I was just there for 2 weeks and we got stopped at 4 times. Also you’ll not find any Jamaican products in the supermarket. It was a new experience had no issues either way with immigration.

These illegal immigrants usually travel in groups. Hence I suspect why you guys were highly interrogated by the Panamanian authorities at the airport.

Had I known you were going to Panama I would have advised you that many Jamaicans are using Panama to travel to the US border. The Panamanian government is working with the USA government to stop the practice.
The reality is that Jamaicans who travel to another country will face intense scrutiny by immigration officials especially if you are a young male. Ah just the truth.

Most of the people that goes through the border they go through Panama to Mexico then cross to America mane that is the reason for your bad experience they are trying to stop that and because it’s your first time in their country your next time will be easier

They have to travel to places their passports allow. Florida and NY you need a visa to go. I think it’s their first time they just wanted to jump on the plane and go. They should have chosen a place with English speaking people, but there is a first time for everything. They’ll know to research next time.

Let them know of your travel plans and get a direct phone number to his/her staff to use in case of any emergencies or delays u and team might have while in that country. Colaz there’s a section in Panama that has Jamaican background l, they spoke patois, if I’m not mistaken, it the name of the place is Bluefield.

Colez you need to plan better. Learn about the places you are going to visit& the common language. Come & visit Florida or even New York where there is multi cultures. They have to travel to places their passports allow. Florida and NY you need a visa to go. I think it’s their first time they just wanted to jump on the plane and go. They should have chosen a place with English speaking people, but there is a first time for everything. They’ll know to research next time.
