You definitely should react to En la Ciudad de la Furia (my favorite song from them), Persiana Americana, Signos and De Musica Ligera, along with Profugos are probably the 5 best songs, still almost their whole discography is just gold. The tour "Me Veras Volver" was the last tour the band did and was an absolute masterpiece, I recommend you to react to the songs mentioned above from that tour specifically. You hit the spot with this one right on time, recently Coldplay performed in Buenos Aires, and they played "Soda Stereo - De Música Ligera" with all the crowd, yea they know good old rock stadium bands like Soda. Love Soda Stereo and Gustavo Cerati (R.I.P.), is not only huge in Argentina but also in Latin America, they have heavily influences from 80's rock bands , like The Police, you can noticed the European pop rock style. I could mention a lot of songs from them but I'll go with these recommendation for you: - De música ligera. - Persiana Americana. - Lo que sangra (La cúpula) - Nada Personal - Cuando pase el temblor. (this one is different with reggae style influence) Anyway there are a lot more songs but is all good if you can't watch them all. i was born in Argentina and moved to the US when i was 7. one of the things my parents never let me forget about my home country is this band. amazing musicians. such a tragic story, the singer Gustavo passed away from a stroke that left him in a coma. in a recent Argentina concert Coldplay covered their song De Musica Ligera, it was great. same concert Jin sang at.

Soda Stereo was a huge deal in Argentina. It has to be one of the most beloved 80's bands in our country, even to these day 40 years later, so the large crowd is no surprise haha. I personally don't know a lot about them, but if you are curious, some of their most famous songs are "Persiana Americana", "De Musica Ligera" and "Cuando pase el temblor". Those are the ones I've listened to and they are all banggers. Another song I would recommend is "La leyenda del Hada y el Mago" of Rata Blanca, another Argentinian group. It is really, really good.

Soda Stereo are amazing! Another song you should definitely hear of them is "De música ligera." That's like a hymn for us in Argentina. Even Coldplay is making a cover of that song in their shows in Argentina. And another band from here that you might like is Rata Blanca! "La historia del hada y el mago " is one of my faves from them. It's an epic song.

Soda Stereo is the biggest band in the history of latin america. This was a reunion tour filmed in 2007. Sadly the singer passed away two years or so later. Anything from that tour is fantastic. They started in the 80s and they were a massive success since the get go. If you want to check more stuff, I would say the MTV Unplugged is insanely good. I would try either "Genesis" or "Entre Canibales" from that Unplugged.

That soccer stadium holds 65,000 people per concert and they did several for their (unfortunately last) reunion tour where this video comes from. Coldplay just fnished playing 10 dates there and in two of those dates they covered Soda and had the bass player and drummer from the band you see here in the video come on stage and join them. Gustavo Cerati, the leading singer, is an icon of Argentine and world rock! He suffered a brain accident in dressing rooms after completing a last concert in Venezuela in 2010 of a world tour he was doing, then he spent 4 years in a coma, and finally in He passed away in Buenos Aires in 2014! As a reminder, many bands have paid tribute to Gustavo and Soda Stereo, and one of those bands is Cold Play, which currently includes Soda's iconic song "light music" as the finale of their tour. in Buenos Aires, and at their concert #9 a few weeks ago they brought on stage the drummer “Charly Alberti” and the bassist “Zeta Bossio” from Soda Stereo to accompany them on two songs precisely from Soda Stereo! 👍🏼✌🏼

Try “Persiana Americana” by them. Quite different from Prófugos, but I think it was the one that caused more ripples in the Latin music scene in the 80’s and 90’s. Their vocalist Gustavo Cerati being the mastermind behind the guitar as well, passed away after being in coma for years on September 2014. Argentina was devastated. It has a 80's vibe because it is one of the most emblematic Argentine band from the 80's. The other is Serú Girán and their front man Charly García who had a solo career. There is also Sumo, Divididos and a less known band I used to follow, Juana la Loca. There is quite a music scene in Buenos Aires, Jazz, Jazz Fusion and of course Tango.
The reason you've never heard of them is because discographics. Soda was never heard beyond latinamerica. Just now people is listening it all over the world. That stadium I think is "El Monumenal", River Plate's football stadium. Have a nice day

It was a reunión recital ,soda is part of many generations, and eventually they split to do each one their own thing, Gustavo Cerati (the singer) had a pretty damn good solo albums. The decided to do a reunion recital every 10 years but I think there was only two shows ,after that Gustavo Cerati died. You definitely should react to En la Ciudad de la Furia (my favorite song from them), Persiana Americana, Signos and De Musica Ligera, along with Profugos are probably the 5 best songs, still almost their whole discography is just gold.
The tour "Me Veras Volver" was the last tour the band did and was an absolute masterpiece, I recommend you to react to the songs mentioned above from that tour specifically. Or even better, just watch the whole tour 😆
R.I.P. Gustavo Cerati, you will always be one of the greatest artist that Argentina and the world could've ever had.

Dayum! You hit the spot with this one right on time, recently Coldplay performed in Buenos Aires, and they played "Soda Stereo - De Música Ligera" with all the crowd, yea they know good old rock stadium bands like Soda.
Love Soda Stereo and Gustavo Cerati (R.I.P.), is not only huge in Argentina but also in Latin America, they have heavily influences from 80's rock bands , like The Police, you can noticed the European pop rock style.
I could mention a lot of songs from them but I'll go with these recommendation for you:

- Persiana Americana.
- Lo que sangra (La cúpula)
- Nada Personal
- Cuando pase el temblor. (this one is different with reggae style influence)
Anyway there are a lot more songs but is all good if you can't watch them all.

i was born in Argentina and moved to the US when i was 7. one of the things my parents never let me forget about my home country is this band. amazing musicians. such a tragic story, the singer Gustavo passed away from a stroke that left him in a coma.
in a recent Argentina concert Coldplay covered their song De Musica Ligera, it was great. same concert Jin sang at.

Argentina has an old rock history. From 60 to today. Soda was one of the most popular band, but not the unique. Soda was very popular in all latin america. They begin in the early 80 to 2007. This video is at the time they come back for a last reunion and tour. The place is Buenos Aires in Argentina and the stadium is River Plate. The singer Gustavo Cerati dead in 2014o. Que gran guitarrista era Cerati, la buena voz la forma de dominar el escenario tan grandiosa no dejaba ver lo bueno que era con la guitarra, fue uno de mis idolos de juventud y tocaba sus canciones con la guitarra siguiendo su estilo, de todos los grupos musicales del rock argentino que llegaron a Chile indudablemente Soda Stereo fue el mejor.
Soda Stereo was a huge deal in Argentina. It has to be one of the most beloved 80's bands in our country, even to these day 40 years later, so the large crowd is no surprise haha. I personally don't know a lot about them, but if you are curious, some of their most famous songs are "Persiana Americana", "De Musica Ligera" and "Cuando pase el temblor". Those are the ones I've listened to and they are all banggers.
Another song I would recommend is "La leyenda del Hada y el Mago" of Rata Blanca, another Argentinian group. It is really, really good.

They were so legendary in all Latin America that Cirque du Soleil did a Soda Stereo themed show. Gustavo Cerati (lead) was a creative genius and an exceptional performer.
Soda stereo best latin rock band ever.....no band now days is even close to them. Colldplay played one of their songs in a concert....soda stereo is an icon of the rock en español movement back in the 80s and 90s...their music has more than 30 years and still gives me goose bumps. Cheers!!

This was a reunion tour filmed in 2007. Sadly the singer passed away two years or so later.
Anything from that tour is fantastic.
They started in the 80s and they were a massive success since the get go.
If you want to check more stuff, I would say the MTV Unplugged is insanely good. I would try either "Genesis" or "Entre Canibales" from that Unplugged.

To your surprise... or not, the song Prófugos is from 1986, played live on the Me verás volver tour, a reunion tour of the band in 2007, at the River Plate stadium in Buenos Aires. The band was formed in the early 80's and as of today does not exist as such because their vocalist, Gustavo Cerati, died in 2014 after being in a coma since 2010, sadly. But they left us magnificent songs that I will recommend to you:

Soda Stereo's lead singer (Gustavo Cerati) it's one the greatest musicians Argetinean music gave birth, this was Soda's last concert (i was there and it was incredible) it was performed on River Plate's stadium (one of the biggest Football teams in Argentina) on 2007.
Soda Stereo is known as the best latin american rock band who ever existed. Sadly the main vocalist Gustavo Cerati passed away a couple of years ago.

Y me siento un privilegiado de hacer nacido aquí en Argentina donde todo eso pasaba, y eso que soda en ese momento se estaba despidiendo, ya estaba en retirada. That soccer stadium holds 65,000 people per concert and they did several for their (unfortunately last) reunion tour where this video comes from. Coldplay just fnished playing 10 dates there and in two of those dates they covered Soda and had the bass player and drummer from the band you see here in the video come on stage and join them. Gustavo Cerati, the leading singer, is an icon of Argentine and world rock! He suffered a brain accident in dressing rooms after completing a last concert in Venezuela in 2010 of a world tour he was doing, then he spent 4 years in a coma, and finally in He passed away in Buenos Aires in 2014! As a reminder, many bands have paid tribute to Gustavo and Soda Stereo, and one of those bands is Cold Play, which currently includes Soda's iconic song "light music" as the finale of their tour. in Buenos Aires, and at their concert #9 a few weeks ago they brought on stage the drummer “Charly Alberti” and the bassist “Zeta Bossio” from Soda Stereo to accompany them on two songs precisely from Soda Stereo! 👍🏼✌🏼

Try “Persiana Americana” by them. Quite different from Prófugos, but I think it was the one that caused more ripples in the Latin music scene in the 80’s and 90’s. Their vocalist Gustavo Cerati being the mastermind behind the guitar as well, passed away after being in coma for years on September 2014. Argentina was devastated.

Seru Giran was another one of the most important bands in Argentina
It has a 80's vibe because it is one of the most emblematic Argentine band from the 80's. The other is Serú Girán and their front man Charly García who had a solo career. There is also Sumo, Divididos and a less known band I used to follow, Juana la Loca. There is quite a music scene in Buenos Aires, Jazz, Jazz Fusion and of course Tango.
The reason you've never heard of them is because discographics. Soda was never heard beyond latinamerica. Just now people is listening it all over the world. That stadium I think is "El Monumenal", River Plate's football stadium. Have a nice day

This is part of a reunion tour in 2007, this video in particular was recorded in Buenos Aires. They made an american tour, from Argentina to USA and reached a record of 10 consecutives stadiums completely sold out in Buenos Aires. From Argentina, i recommend you the solo albums of their singer: Gustavo Cerati. Soda was huge during the 80s and 90s sadly the lead singer and guitarrist gustavo cerati past away in 2014 after 4 years in a coma due to a stroke cheers from argentina

It was a reunión recital ,soda is part of many generations, and eventually they split to do each one their own thing, Gustavo Cerati (the singer) had a pretty damn good solo albums. The decided to do a reunion recital every 10 years but I think there was only two shows ,after that Gustavo Cerati died.
