Se hicieron masivos porque: 1) Eran muy Buenos Musicos - 2) Estuvieron 1 año ensayando solo ellos 3 antes d presentarse en Publico y eso hizo que se conocieran mucho entre ellos a la hora d ejecutar Musica - 3) El sueño de los 3 era tener una Super Banda e invertian todo su dinero, el de as pocas entradas que vendian al principio y sus sueldos en buenos equipos de sonido, luces e instrumentos Musicales - 4) desde que se formaron ensayaba la banda junta todos los dias 4 horas inclusive los dias que tenian presentaciones. 5) Al principio su circuito de presentaciones era en Discos y Pub no muy conocidas (Under) junto con otras bandas pero las pocas personas que los veian se los recomendaban a otras y asi se fueron haciendo de a poco de mas seguidores - 6) Al hacerse un poco mas conocidos salieron del Under y comenzaron a contratarlos en Discos y Pub mas importantes y para impactar a su nuevo Publico adoptaron la estetica con la onda New Wave que estaba de moda en esa epoca y se caracterizaban como la banda The Cure, eso los hizo mas conocidos porque eran los unicos q se producian asi, acá -7) Se presentaban en todos lados que los contrataran sin ninguna condicion y comenzaron a hacer giras en Verano por la Costa de Buenos Aires y al terminar la temporada, ampliaron esas giras a Toda la Argentina, se presentaron en lugares tan alejados que ni siquiera el Tren iba, esta modalidad la hicieron durante los primeros años, hasta q se hicieron masivos. 8) Ya consagrados en Argentina su Musica se escuchaba en los Paises d Chile y Peru y fueron convocados en el festival de Musica de Viña del Mar en el Pais de Chile (año 87) el cual es televisado en varios paises de la region, si bien ya eran bastantes conocidos en dicho Pais, con esas presentaciones se hicieron archiconocidos y contratados en otros Paises de la region, realizando un Album en vivo del registro de dicha gira ( Ruido Blanco) - 9) Todos los años tenian la misma disciplina que era hacer un nuevo Album, promocionarlo, presentarlo y salir de gira por el interior y exterior del Pais, cada año incorporaban un Pais mas para presentarse, dicho por los mismos integrantes solo tenian 15 dias de vacaciones anuales - 10) Cada Album de ellos tiene un estilo distinto, no repetian el estilo, por mas exitoso que fuera el Album anterior - 11) La Calidad de la puesta de luces, escenografia, y sonido en cada presentacion era insuperable, sin importar donde se presentaran, siempre se caracterizaron por superar en vivo, por su nitidez y fidelidad, el sonido de las canciones hechas en estudio de sus Albumes - 12) Siempre respetaron a su Publico dando lo mejor en cada presentacion, eran muy Profesionales y se tomaron en serio la Banda desde sus inicios - 13) Tiene muchos records la Banda, en cuanto a ventas de sus Albumnes, o por ser pioneros en presentar los mismos en CD o transmitir sus Conciertos por Internet. 14) Por ultimo Nosotros teniamos en esa epoca, la misma reaccion que tuviste Vos al escuchar una Cancion de ellos por primera vez, para Nosotros era algo nuevo, moderno, bien hecho, sin parecerse a nada hasta ese momento, no saliamos de nuestro asombro por lo mucho que nos gustaba, por eso siempre quetiamos comprar su material y hacer todo lo posible para ir a verlos. Olvidaste una parte importante...La transicion musical entre las bandas de los 80 a los noventa. mientra que Charly su fuerte la hizo en los 70/80 mas 80 ellos agarraron toda la fuerza de los 90 y la arrastraron por 20 años. Mi pareja tenia 18 para para su ultimo concierto. Yo recuerdo escucharlos en los 80 (soy del 77) y si bien no eran al principio una banda de masas su calidad no hizo mas que mejorar sus "discos" con los años y que nosotros los añoramos por las vivencias que nos dejo. Hoy son la banda de mayor calidad y que mas disco vendio de habla hispana.

Sucede q quise limitarne a comentar algunas partes d la historia d la banda pero solo su crecimiento interno es decir sin comentar contextos para q no fuera tan largo mi comentario, aunque igualmente lo fué 😂 Muchas Gracias x tu comentario respetuoso y amable y da gusto comentar con personas como Vos q saben d la Historia Musical, xq además fueron contemporaneos a lo sucedido, yo soy del 71' la primera vez q escuché Soda fué a los 12 en el programa Música Total, q estaban "tocando" "Te hace Vitaminas" sin instrumentos (Gustavo solo una Guitarra criolla😂) y haciendo playback 😂 estaba pregabado en el estudio d una novela del Canal 9 estilo campestre 😂 luego esa grabación se convirtió en el video "oficial" d ese tema, desde ahí los sigo, como pude xq era muy chica para una banda d "Adultos" dijeran mis Viejos y además no tenía dinero para comprar nada d ellos ni cassettes o longplay, revistas etc todo m lo prestaban amigos d mi Hna q eran más grandes, pero como m gustaba la banda estaba al pendiente como podía d ellos. A mucha gente le gustara SE por su calidad, ritmo, etc. pero solo los que crecimos con estas bandas y que nos dejo asociaciones espacio temporal le damos un plus que nadie mas le podra impregnar. Soda Estero al igual que cualquier banda que marca la adolescencia de uno, nos impregna no solo de tecnisismos y buen hacer sino ese algo mas que nunca mas volvera y que lo hace tan especial, yo lo suello llamar efecto "cafe" por la publicidad Argentina que en mi caso fue muy asociativo entre la cancion "es la vida que me alcanza" y una publicad de cafe.

Te recomiendo otra gran banda como lo fue Seru Giran con Charly Garcia , Oscar Moro, David Lebon y Pedro Aznar y sus canciones . Te puedo sugerir "Noches de perros" o "Eiti Leda" en estudio la primera, de la segunda existe un video de 1978, donde el sonido es increible. Muchas gracias por tus reacciones y vamos por mas. M e veras volver tour was a comeback tour after they separate, for almost 10 years. The tour was for a few cities in Latin America, North America and the last concert was in Buenos Aires. I saw this concert in Miami, because my legal situation didn't get me the chance to see them in Buenos Aires. This was one of the biggest band in Argentina, and we miss very much the band and Gustavo....Thank you for react to this band.

It is the Monumental stadium of River Plate, in Buenos Aires. Currently the one with the largest capacity in all of South America. In Argentina rock and soccer are lived that way, everyone standing, jumping and singing. We are very used to it and we take care of each other. It is the rockiest country in all of South America. There are many huge rock bands in Argentina, possibly Soda Stereo is the biggest but Luís Alberto Spinetta, Charly García, Sumo, Serú Giran, Divididos, Virus, Vox Dei, La Renga and many others are going to blow your brain. The stadium is River Plate, in Argentina. There is a video of AcDc (Iroman's) that is filmed there. I recommend "Genesis" by Soda Stereo on MTV unplugged. Actually they didn't play unplugged because it was their condition to play on MTV. It has an excellent guitar solo. Memorable

Soda Stereo hacían shows masivos desde México hasta Chile. Son tan enormes en la historia del rock de Latinoamérica, que las demás bandas hacen covers de sus canciones. Incluso Coldplay hace covers de Soda. Chris Martín se tatuó el "gracias totales!" que dijo Gustavo Cerati en la despedida de 1997 después de la última canción, cuando el grupo se separó. 🚶🏼

En los ochenta y noventas era muy difícil para una banda de rock en Latinoamérica competir con los ritmos tropicales, excepto tal vez en los países al sur como Argentina, donde el rock ya tenía una presencia desde la década anterior. Soda Stereo sólo podía salir de Argentina. Y lograron lo imposible: ganarse a una juventud latina que estaba ávida de alternativas a la salsa y el merengue.
Se hicieron masivos porque: 1) Eran muy Buenos Musicos - 2) Estuvieron 1 año ensayando solo ellos 3 antes d presentarse en Publico y eso hizo que se conocieran mucho entre ellos a la hora d ejecutar Musica - 3) El sueño de los 3 era tener una Super Banda e invertian todo su dinero, el de as pocas entradas que vendian al principio y sus sueldos en buenos equipos de sonido, luces e instrumentos Musicales - 4) desde que se formaron ensayaba la banda junta todos los dias 4 horas inclusive los dias que tenian presentaciones. 5) Al principio su circuito de presentaciones era en Discos y Pub no muy conocidas (Under) junto con otras bandas pero las pocas personas que los veian se los recomendaban a otras y asi se fueron haciendo de a poco de mas seguidores - 6) Al hacerse un poco mas conocidos salieron del Under y comenzaron a contratarlos en Discos y Pub mas importantes y para impactar a su nuevo Publico adoptaron la estetica con la onda New Wave que estaba de moda en esa epoca y se caracterizaban como la banda The Cure, eso los hizo mas conocidos porque eran los unicos q se producian asi, acá -7) Se presentaban en todos lados que los contrataran sin ninguna condicion y comenzaron a hacer giras en Verano por la Costa de Buenos Aires y al terminar la temporada, ampliaron esas giras a Toda la Argentina, se presentaron en lugares tan alejados que ni siquiera el Tren iba, esta modalidad la hicieron durante los primeros años, hasta q se hicieron masivos. 8) Ya consagrados en Argentina su Musica se escuchaba en los Paises d Chile y Peru y fueron convocados en el festival de Musica de Viña del Mar en el Pais de Chile (año 87) el cual es televisado en varios paises de la region, si bien ya eran bastantes conocidos en dicho Pais, con esas presentaciones se hicieron archiconocidos y contratados en otros Paises de la region, realizando un Album en vivo del registro de dicha gira ( Ruido Blanco) - 9) Todos los años tenian la misma disciplina que era hacer un nuevo Album, promocionarlo, presentarlo y salir de gira por el interior y exterior del Pais, cada año incorporaban un Pais mas para presentarse, dicho por los mismos integrantes solo tenian 15 dias de vacaciones anuales - 10) Cada Album de ellos tiene un estilo distinto, no repetian el estilo, por mas exitoso que fuera el Album anterior - 11) La Calidad de la puesta de luces, escenografia, y sonido en cada presentacion era insuperable, sin importar donde se presentaran, siempre se caracterizaron por superar en vivo, por su nitidez y fidelidad, el sonido de las canciones hechas en estudio de sus Albumes - 12) Siempre respetaron a su Publico dando lo mejor en cada presentacion, eran muy Profesionales y se tomaron en serio la Banda desde sus inicios - 13) Tiene muchos records la Banda, en cuanto a ventas de sus Albumnes, o por ser pioneros en presentar los mismos en CD o transmitir sus Conciertos por Internet. 14) Por ultimo Nosotros teniamos en esa epoca, la misma reaccion que tuviste Vos al escuchar una Cancion de ellos por primera vez, para Nosotros era algo nuevo, moderno, bien hecho, sin parecerse a nada hasta ese momento, no saliamos de nuestro asombro por lo mucho que nos gustaba, por eso siempre quetiamos comprar su material y hacer todo lo posible para ir a verlos. Olvidaste una parte importante...La transicion musical entre las bandas de los 80 a los noventa. mientra que Charly su fuerte la hizo en los 70/80 mas 80 ellos agarraron toda la fuerza de los 90 y la arrastraron por 20 años. Mi pareja tenia 18 para para su ultimo concierto. Yo recuerdo escucharlos en los 80 (soy del 77) y si bien no eran al principio una banda de masas su calidad no hizo mas que mejorar sus "discos" con los años y que nosotros los añoramos por las vivencias que nos dejo. Hoy son la banda de mayor calidad y que mas disco vendio de habla hispana.

Sucede q quise limitarne a comentar algunas partes d la historia d la banda pero solo su crecimiento interno es decir sin comentar contextos para q no fuera tan largo mi comentario, aunque igualmente lo fué 😂 Muchas Gracias x tu comentario respetuoso y amable y da gusto comentar con personas como Vos q saben d la Historia Musical, xq además fueron contemporaneos a lo sucedido, yo soy del 71' la primera vez q escuché Soda fué a los 12 en el programa Música Total, q estaban "tocando" "Te hace Vitaminas" sin instrumentos (Gustavo solo una Guitarra criolla😂) y haciendo playback 😂 estaba pregabado en el estudio d una novela del Canal 9 estilo campestre 😂 luego esa grabación se convirtió en el video "oficial" d ese tema, desde ahí los sigo, como pude xq era muy chica para una banda d "Adultos" dijeran mis Viejos y además no tenía dinero para comprar nada d ellos ni cassettes o longplay, revistas etc todo m lo prestaban amigos d mi Hna q eran más grandes, pero como m gustaba la banda estaba al pendiente como podía d ellos. A mucha gente le gustara SE por su calidad, ritmo, etc. pero solo los que crecimos con estas bandas y que nos dejo asociaciones espacio temporal le damos un plus que nadie mas le podra impregnar. Soda Estero al igual que cualquier banda que marca la adolescencia de uno, nos impregna no solo de tecnisismos y buen hacer sino ese algo mas que nunca mas volvera y que lo hace tan especial, yo lo suello llamar efecto "cafe" por la publicidad Argentina que en mi caso fue muy asociativo entre la cancion "es la vida que me alcanza" y una publicad de cafe.

Te recomiendo otra gran banda como lo fue Seru Giran con Charly Garcia , Oscar Moro, David Lebon y Pedro Aznar y sus canciones . Te puedo sugerir "Noches de perros" o "Eiti Leda" en estudio la primera, de la segunda existe un video de 1978, donde el sonido es increible. Muchas gracias por tus reacciones y vamos por mas. M e veras volver tour was a comeback tour after they separate, for almost 10 years. The tour was for a few cities in Latin America, North America and the last concert was in Buenos Aires. I saw this concert in Miami, because my legal situation didn't get me the chance to see them in Buenos Aires. This was one of the biggest band in Argentina, and we miss very much the band and Gustavo....Thank you for react to this band.

SS was certainly a hell of a band. I don't know their discography but I have listened to maybe five or six songs of theirs and they kicked ass! The music fans are the best in the world IMHO, peace.

It is the Monumental stadium of River Plate, in Buenos Aires. Currently the one with the largest capacity in all of South America.
In Argentina rock and soccer are lived that way, everyone standing, jumping and singing. We are very used to it and we take care of each other. It is the rockiest country in all of South America.

The stadium is River Plate, in Argentina. There is a video of AcDc (Iroman's) that is filmed there. I recommend "Genesis" by Soda Stereo on MTV unplugged. Actually they didn't play unplugged because it was their condition to play on MTV. It has an excellent guitar solo. Memorable

Soda Stereo hacían shows masivos desde México hasta Chile. Son tan enormes en la historia del rock de Latinoamérica, que las demás bandas hacen covers de sus canciones. Incluso Coldplay hace covers de Soda. Chris Martín se tatuó el "gracias totales!" que dijo Gustavo Cerati en la despedida de 1997 después de la última canción, cuando el grupo se separó.

Widely considered by specialized critics as the most important, popular and influential band of Spanish rock and a legend of Latin American music. They were the first Spanish-speaking group to achieve massive success in Latin America and played a very important role in the development and dissemination of Latin American rock and rock in Spanish during the 1980s and 1990s.

Years later with the promise to get back together and record albums together again, they fulfill their personal commitments but unfortunately Gustavo Cerati suffers stroke and is in a coma from 2010 until his death in 2014 😢

Hello, wellcome to Soda world. They actually are the Best band in latinamerica. Unfortunatelly his vocal , Gustavo Cerati passed away in 2014. But his legacy and the entire band will remain forever. Their performances in live are better than songs in studio. All their concerts are amazing. They are a power trio with different styles in their songs. En los ochenta y noventas era muy difícil para una banda de rock en Latinoamérica competir con los ritmos tropicales, excepto tal vez en los países al sur como Argentina, donde el rock ya tenía una presencia desde la década anterior. Soda Stereo sólo podía salir de Argentina. Y lograron lo imposible: ganarse a una juventud latina que estaba ávida de alternativas a la salsa y el merengue.
