Keyword I got from this video.."Development" if a kid wants to have a chance at standing out in these showcases in their high school years it would be wise to begin preparing to be showcase ready in the early junior high school years as a minimum .. it's incredible the level of competition at these showcases and what it takes to stand out. Thank You for this video :)

JuCo bandit here. don’t do showcases put on by these bigger companies. only showcase id recommend going to is one from a college that has showed interest and basically invited you. those are the only ones worth it imo. When it comes to games/tourneys any of the WWBA’s are great. Especially if you can get on a ranked team. My most exposure came from WWBA playing for Arkansas Sticks/White Sox Scout Team. But if you can’t get on a team like that, take the games against ranked teams seriously bc more than likely there are scouts watching. There’s a lotta gimmicks out there that claim to connect you with scouts. Don’t buy in to that bs. Just play hard and if it’s meant to be I promise the right people will see you.

My son had a blast playing for Future Stars Series and was invited to play for the Fresh 50 event at Vanderbilt. Obviously as a 2027 grad, no college contacts, but in my opinion the experience of playing at a large event on big stage was worth the money. He was able to meet kids from all over the country and Canada. Total investment into the total of 3 events to get there was a minimum of $1500 (we fundraised more since they donated some to good causes). For that he received around $2,000 in gear. Jeremy Hamilton stayed and worked with my son individually for about 20-30 minutes after one of the days.

This is awesome! I'm so happy it turned out well for him. Those 3 day events are where it's at if you want to go to showcases so glad he got invited there!

My son has participated in PG and PBR events. We found that only a few of the events attracted college scouts. Most of what it is for is to post times and metrics.

Perfect Game All State Games. They talk about grading pop times, pitchers, catchers, 40s. The end result, nothing.
