There were plenty of times when we didn't have running water in the house, where we ate Beans & Cornbread for a week straight, where we didn't have a running vehicle, no heat in the house in the winter time. And hell, I was in middle school before I even knew what Air Conditioning WAS! I had black friends whose parents had college degrees & lived in nice homes, wore name brand clothes, never had to worry if they had lunch money. "Privilege" is about MONEY plain & simple.
