The only reason why he's not as highly regarded as them is mainly down to just one thing: his choice of career! And now at 40 he still plays in one of the biggest clubs in Europe being back in AC Milan for his second stint there. Ronaldo who during their careers have had consistantly better teammates around them due to staying in one or a few of the best clubs in the world. But Zlatan went on to win an astonishing 13 leauge titles (including the two calciopoli titles in Juventus), one Europa Leugue Title and a total of 33 major titles so far in his illustrious career and has had an adventure like no other football player in the modern era! Zlatans career represents like no other the essence of modern european top football! He has played together with more world class players than anyone else this millenia... or to correct myself, they have had the pleasure and honour to play with Zlatan!
I disagree. The main difference between Zlatan and CR7/Messi isn't that the later had better teammates or stayed at the same club for much longer, but that they were far more consistent and more decisive in big games. This isn't to say that Zlatan has been inconsistent throughout his career, just that no player in history even comes close to CR7 & Messi in terms of consistency at the highest level.
When zlatan was talking Sweden to a new level and conquering the domestic leagues...I think there was an abundance of world class players...The creative players, goal scorers and defenders... it seemed that every team had a winder star surrounded by other wonder star's.. football itself has changed. The players seem to be more conformist than back then.. The big characters ,the ones that did amazing things out of the blue.. the big man there was part of that. He would raise the atmosphere all by himself..And I suspect he actually really did inspire people around him and probably still does now.. on both sides of the pitch too...when a man like that is on fire , you're gonna get a pasting from him if you're not on uour game too... He is right up there with the best...no doubts about that.
