In this video, I explore my methods of composing chord melodies. I talk you through the theory behind each method before breaking into a series of examples and taking you through each step of their construction. Included is a PDF with lots of great examples to try out on your own. I want you to learn how to create chord melodies that are satisfying, interesting, and memorable. Rather than think about theory too much, the full video lesson introduces you to a series of techniques that will help you develop this unique skillset.
Barry Greene has been a leading instructor of jazz guitar for more than 20 years. Currently a professor of jazz studies at the University of North Florida, Barry has an extensive background in performance and instruction. He has played all over the United States and Europe and has garnered praise from some of the most influential guitar players in the world. Take the opportunity to study with one of the finest educators of jazz guitar.
